  1. I’m really not liking the sonic movie so far. The human world stuff is so lame. I feel like they could’ve just adapted adventure 1 and done a better version of it to justify it being in live action.

  2. I don't know if anyone agrees, and maybe it's cheating due to being on a more powerful console, but Sonic CD has the best aesthetics of any 2D Sonic game from the classic era.

Yeah, the kind of atmosphere you get from CD's environments and music just wouldn't be possible on the genesis.

  3. Totally controversial and original opinion alert: Kingdom Hearts 2 is the best in the series.

real hot take it’s the only one I fully like.

I'm totally with you there. 3 looked the best, but nothing beats the gameplay of 2 imho.

Final mix FTW. *granted it’s the only one I’ve played but yeah*

  4. How the fuck has it already been 8 years since I joined this forum?

      Idk either dood

Its been more than a decade since I've been here myself

...What the fuck have I been doing?

  5. It’s very sad to hear Karen Strassman is a right wing nut job between this and discovering Quinton Flynn is a certified creep, this has been quite the cherry on top of a shitty week. But I digress. Shits crazy man. I didn’t think we were in need of a line-wide recast, but if it’s what Sega thinks is needed to reinvent the brand, then so be it. I’m really curious to see who we’re gonna get for everyone now. I just wish Sega would stop ditching a voice cast once they finally come into their own (Sonic Heroes, Black Knight). History has an odd way of repeating itself with this franchise.
  6. This is crazy. Roger wasn’t the ideal voice for Sonic IMO, but he gave it his all in the 10 years he voiced him, which is a crazy amount of time for The Blue Blur. Is it fair to say he’s the most well known voice of the character, after 10 years of games, a tv show, a guest appearance on O.K KO, and a cameo in both Wreck it Ralph movies? I wonder what happened. If it was a matter of pay, or Sega wanting to bring in a new voice like Ben Schwartz? I wouldn’t be surprised if Ben is the new voice, since he does voice acting outside of just the Sonic movie.
  7. It's always gonna be Japanese for me. It's the Sonic soundtrack I always go back to. Collision Chaos and Quartz Quadrant are some of my favorite level themes in the series, and I love the past remixes. I do love both versions of Sonic Boom though, and Stardust Speeway US is fantastic. The Japanese soundtrack is just so damn catchy, and it really puts you in the world of the game.
  8. Not that it was canon in the first place, but this game tears Assault on Arkham out of the timeline, due to King Shark’s drastically different appearance and survival. I’m not sure how to feel about this tbh. Evil superman is getting really old. So far I’m not a fan of the premise, but maybe watching gameplay will sway my opinion. I really don’t think this needed to be a part of the Arkhamverse, though. Despite overall hating Arkham Knight’s story, it seemed to be Rocksteady’s final word on the series. I guess I’ll have to wait and see for more info.
  9. Looks like a super exciting, fresh take on Batman! I'm pumped for Robert Pattinson's Batman performance, because he looks like he's going to kill it. He's definitely bringing an intensity to the character that I'm excited to see. Riddler also looks way different than how I imagined, but it looks to be an interesting reinvention. This movie can't come out soon enough.
  10. Looks fucking dope, yo. I’m honestly glad that we’re moving away from the Arkhamverse. Not sure how the suicide squad game is going to fit well in it, but I’m ready for a fresh take. I’ve been waiting forever to play as the bat family. Still a bit salty that we don’t get Cassandra Cain as batgirl but it looks like a fun time. Sign me up.
  11.  Rooftop Run  challenges in Generations  suuuuuuuuuuck thanks bye :P

I'm having trouble remembering the missions at all tbh. All the missions in that game were were annoying. It was either replay the regular level, or play through it again with additionally obnoxious objects everywhere. I do remember Vector's mission for Modern Sonic in Rooftop Run though, and what a nightmare playing that was.

Dude FUCK vector’s music note challenge. So obnoxious.

I like some of the challenges in Gens, but they started to get really annoying during the Dreamcast era levels.

They're generally just filler. Generations' level design isn't very organic; it's mostly just scripted set pieces chained together. It works well enough for what it is, but when those levels are "remixed" by chucking a bunch of random objects and blocky platforms all over the place, the stiffness of the controls coupled with the now uninteresting level design really bogs everything down. They're just there to pad out the game's length, because we all know how short it is just going from level to level.

    4. Chaos Incarnate

      Chaos Incarnate

Pretty much. I’ve always enjoyed Generations’ level design for the most part, but it definitely isn’t a perfect game, and I honestly wouldn’t mind it getting an enhanced port/ remaster. I’d rather SA1 get remade, but the selfish person that I am wants more levels in Gens haha.

    5. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

If SEGA weren't interested in creating any DLC for Generations, you can be pretty sure that they wouldn't include any new levels in re-release. It's just not the treatment that they give Sonic games.

Years ago i had no idea Vin Diesel was in that movie.

It’s weird how crazy good he does in roles with limited lines. The Giant is easily one of my favorite animated characters ever. It’s weird how a hulking metal behemoth is one of the most adorable creatures in a movie I’ve ever seen.

Also I’m convinced Christopher Macdonald will never not be a massive dick in every movie I’ve seen him in.

    3. Tefutakato

      Tefutakato

@Chaos Incarnate I'm not really sure who Chris Macdonald is. lol I'm guessing you mean the government agent dude with red/orange hair?

    4. Chaos Incarnate

      Chaos Incarnate

Yes. He’s the villain in happy Gilmore and a few other movies I can’t remember haha. Great actor though.

@Chaos Incarnate I know who you're talking about now. lol I remember him from the movie flubber, he also was a bad guy there too.

Oh god I can't believe I forgot about him in Flubber.
