So I've stuck around here for longer than I intended, so I guess I'll flesh out this whole "About Me" page.
Music is the thing I love the most, and I love a lot of it. My favorite genre has to be progressive rock, but I also listen to a lot of classical (new age or Romantic-era) and some jazz (mostly fusion). My favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, King Crimson, and They Might Be Giants, just to name a few. I play piano, and drums and I've participated in band from middle school up until my second semester of college.
I'm majoring in computer science, which got in the way of band, so I had to drop it, unfortunately. However, I remain adamant about keeping music as a hobby, and I'm very happy with the way things are going with my current major.
Who likes anime? I do. One summer break, a couple of my friends roped me in to marathoning One Piece with them. I knew nothing about the show (or anime in general) beforehand, but after a few arcs, I was hooked. After that, I began slowly exposing myself to other shows, and here we are.
Some of my favorites are One Piece, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Gintama, and Barakamon.
Video Games are cool I guess.
Growing up I had a Sega Genesis with three games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and SEGA Bass Fishing. Among those three was the first game I ever played, but I can't remember which one it was. I like to think it was the fishing one, but whatever.
Sonic was rad and he definitely got me into video games in general. After the Genesis came the PS1 (my parents had something against Nintendo apparently). I remember sinking hours upon hours into Tekken and Toy Story 2. Then came the best system to ever be released.... Playstation 2. What a masterpiece. My favorites from that generation were Shadow of the Colossus, Jak and Daxter series, Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2, Ratchet and Clank series, and various Need for Speeds.
I betrayed Sony for the Xbox 360, because I wanted to join my friends on Xbox Live. I can't say I regret it, because I had so many good times playing various games with my pals. I know own a PS4, but I haven't played nearly as much since college started. Oh well; it gives me something to look forward to on break.
I also like movies and stuff, but I'm bored of typing, so I'm gonna stop.
