  1. Boost games should stop making the music all tinny.

    There are wonderful compositions being obscured by stupid effects for "immersion." Screw your immersion, let me rock out to these amazing tracks.

      Plus it's really not very immersive when 90% of the games are spent boosting anyway. If it was a rare super power then it'd be great. But it's not, so it's annoying.

      Also, it's not like they there's no other alternative to doing something with the music if they really wanted to. This video has been floating around for ages:

      Sadly the annotations doesn't seem to be working anymore, but basically the song is broken into different sections that loop until the character reaches the next section of the stage. Plus, if the player is doing well, a more 'upbeat' version is playing, if the player is doing badly, it fades into a 'less intense' version of the song.

      They should do something more akin to Mario Kart 7/8, where the beat gets louder instead of the whole song being softer when boosting.

      @ SupahBerry They actually have something like that in GHZ2 and SSZ2 in Generations; both of those tracks (and no others) have alternative versions with faster/additional percussion that actually plays when Sonic is running. When he's going slowly, the regular tracks kick back in. Of course, when boosting you'll be hard pressed to notice any change because the radio wave filter drowns out all subtleties in the music. 

      If you're wondering why only those two tracks have fast versions, its because they're used in the high speed enemies missions, which are only found in GHZ and SSZ.

      @Blue Blood Oh right, I already forgot about those fast versions. Which, as you said, would be a cool thing IF they didn't drown the music with filters.

      And, regarding the overuse of the boost, I think a far better implementaion would be if it used up your collected rings. Not a bar you fill up by collecting rings, your actual, collected rings. That way, you better think twice when to use it and would encourage ring collecting for another reason besides just extra lives and the score.
