  1. Anyone who dares to imply humans don’t see dogs and cats as anything more than mere pets, they can get stuffed. They clearly don’t know love, affection and empathy.

  2. Just saw the leak. It is unbelievably fake. Don’t trust everything you see on 4chan, because anyone can say anything on there without any proof. Only a very very small percentage is legit, while everything else that takes up 99% of all leaks are bullshit. Not to mention how a lot of this doesn’t even make sense with SEGA’s actions, as for instance, they are perfectly fine with paying rights to Dreams Come True to use the soundtracks of Sonic 1 and 2 in games.
  3. There’s also X, but he’s too dense to get in a relationship. On someone who isn’t Mega Man, there’s Zero, who DOES fall in love. But he, again, isn’t Mega Man. Volnutt is dense, too. Lan Hikari canonically marries his love interest. And Geo Stellar isn’t looking for a relationship. ZX has no one you can call Mega Man. There are next to no love interests in the series. As for Sonic, he’s not interested. He wants to be free as the wind, something that only happens if he stays free from romance. Not that it suits him anyway. Don’t count on SonAmy being a thing.
  4. Finished Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. That was fun!!

While everything else was a surprise, I went through the final boss like

    hard as balls, tho

    1. Ryannumber1gamer

      Played college ball you know?

    2. Polkadi~☆

At some cushy Ivy League school.

    3. Strickerx5

And to this day it's the only "Metal Gear" game I've ever actually finished

    4. Ryannumber1gamer

    5. Polkadi~☆

      you know what, same here

Short but sweet, with really fun gameplay and varied enemy types that keep things interesting from start to finish.

    6. Ryannumber1gamer

It is also the only Metal Gear I finished, as well as one of the few hack and slashes I really enjoy.

I've tried to get into the other entries, at least the first game, but the gameplay has just aged horrifically IMO

    7. Wraith

It's really good but feels incomplete in a lot of ways. I wanted a sequel to really refine everything into Hack n slash perfection but it never came

  5. Yesterday’s day at work was fun. I had to help set up a microphone for a recording session, and in testing it, got all my co-workers singing along with me to I Want It That Way.

And there was a piano in the recording studio. Some random employee came in, blasted the intro to Megalovania, and left. Then they came back shortly after and blasted Spider Dance, then left.

    1. SupahBerry

Your workplace is having too much fun. That is illegal in our book.

They'll be coming for you soon.

In all honesty, I'm glad you had a good day.

    2. Failinhearts

It's those fun little things that make work all the more worth it, right?

    3. Jango

I really hope you were singing along "I bought on EBAYY"

  6. Ay bed ced ded ed eff ged

If you wouldn’t pronounce your ABCs like this, why do we say “zed” for Z? It’s dumb.

    1. Speederino

I didn’t know “zed” was a thing until I took a trip to the UK a couple years go. Man I was so confused the first time I heard it XD

    2. SupahBerry

Do they actually call DBZ "Dragon Ball Zed" over there, or does the "Zee" stick?

    3. Ferno

sometimes i wonder if we americans changed zed to zee just so the song would rhyme at the end

either way im used to zee and have said it all my life, but I'll admit that zed has this sorta imposing sound to it as it rolls off the tounge that gives off a feeling of finality and sorta fits

    4. Ernest the Panda
    5. DiamondX

To be honest, I find english pronounciations kinda dumb in general.

Here I find it more natural but it's also because we pronounce the words the same way we write them.

    6. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

I'll worry about the pronunciation of "z" in a nursery rhyme after everyone's learned pronounce "h" correctly.

    7. DiamondX

      "W" makes no sense IMO.

"Double u" despite it being two V's next to eachother: VV.

But you guys mostly pronounce it like "u" in words so I guess it works. Here we just say "v".

    8. Teoskaven

That derives from Latin, where "V"s were used instead of "U"s in the alphabet yet they were read as "U"s.

    9. DanJ86

@Ernest the Panda Speak for yourself. I like to call it Dragon Ball Zed.

Also, considering berk is a vulgar slang term here, How To Train Your Dragon sounded like a very different movie to me.

  7. Yakuza, Skies of Arcadia, Phantasy Star Online, Jet Set Radio, Super Monkey Ball, NiGHTS, Total War, Puyo Puyo and more all laugh back at you. Even Sonic Team, when it’s not a Sonic game, can make a good game. I’m not sure why you made this comment, to be honest. SEGA is one of the largest Japanese video game publishers. They wouldn’t stay one of the largest if they were releasing crappy games, unless they’re EA.
  8. I Want It That Way is secretly everyone’s jam.

    1. Marcello

Thanks for getting it stuck in my head.

    2. Milo

backstreet boys is kino pop music

  9. Many future Fox projects have also been shut down by Disney, insiders estimate around 300+ projects have been cancelled. What the FUCK, Disney. How did we let this happen...?! This means things such as no Mega Man movie, on a different note.
  10. Okay, Jet Set Radio, I get that you're happy that you represented Shibuya... But did you REAAALLLLY need to force a camera perspective to show off the Crossing?

It's so disorienting to go from free camera to a forced perspective.

    1. JezMM

I mean all the forced camera spots make use of 2D pre-rendered backgrounds don't they? Was probably no way around it since the decision to pre-render that area would've probably been due to some kind of limitation on memory or map size/detail etc.

  11. Oh, and Australia's classification board is a joke too. DayZ refused classification and banned from sale because of marijuana, of which HASN'T ACTUALLY BEEN IMPLEMENTED INTO THE GAME, but just sits in the game files. Nevermind the fact that it would have been R18+ regardless, meaning only adults should have the game, but they treat it as if children would play too.

I live in a nanny state.

    1. Badnik Mechanic

      Badnik Mechanic

This is the same policy for the West for content on the sale of copy even if it's not accessible to the end user.

    2. Polkadi~☆

Kinda ridiculous, but if that's how it is...

Reading into it, if drugs in a game give a negative effect to the player, it's okay. If they give a positive effect, like replenishing health, no way. Same thing happened to Fallout 3, when Med-X had it's name changed to Morphine, only to have it changed back when Australia went against the implications.

    3. Red

Australia banned the game "We Happy Few" for similar reasons. The devs had to "censor" the game to make it suitable for Australian sale.

  12. American media is actually buying into the “video games cause violence” spiel?

I’m at my goddamn limit. The country is a joke to everyone else in the world.

    1. Prince Weiss

      Prince Weiss

I agree this whole Video games cause Violence spiel is an outdated argument

yet this argument is used every time there's a tragedy

to hand wave the issue away

because why tackle the real issues and cause of said tragedy

when we have a scapegoat and that scapegoat is video games

even though there are studies that prove the contrary

      so why blame Video games?

simple its so the media has a dragon to slay of course

    2. Strickerx5

Honestly, it's the same damn group as always. We just got two mass shootings so they're all on damage control and deflecting from the actual issue. It'll all sadly blow over, again, until the next mass shooting happens.

We are a bad joke. Always have been, and probably always will be. Most of us here are sick of this shit too.

    3. Prince Weiss

      Prince Weiss

this whole "Video Games cause Violence" argument needs to be put to rest for good

what this is can be summed up as another Moral Panic

instead of actually trying to look into the issue

they come out and say "he played Violent Video Games that's why he did it" because why bother actually trying to investigate the motive when there's a scapegoat

i'm sorry i'm really sick and tired of this whole "Video Games cause Violence" crap

    4. SenEDDtor Missile

      SenEDDtor Missile

As long as our country fetishes weapons and violence, and uses deliberate scapegoats like this that the ratings hungry media will willingly leap on to avoid the truth, we're not going anywhere.

    5. Badnik Zero

      Badnik Zero

Isolation and extremism cause these incidents, and access to weapons. Gun proponents like to say that a good guy with a gun can stop a rampage. Maybe true, but the shooter in Ohio was killed after 30 seconds. Firepower that can kill nine people in 30 seconds is not the same as being able to purchase a pistol.

  13. That livestream was pleasant, so much Sonic love going around~

  14. “We’ll have an army of gamers, and we’ll take over the world!”

“You say that like it’s a threatening thing, but have you ever seen a gamer in real life?”

“No, they-... They talk big shit.”

    1. Ryannumber1gamer

An army of five year olds on COD ain't gonna take over a pre-school let alone take over the world

  15. I’ve been curious about some of the characters in the franchise, especially when it comes to female characters. While there are a large variety of characters, I do wonder how this series approaches those of females, and if they are represented well. How do you see the representation of females within the characters in the franchise? Is it good, or are there things that could be improved? It would be interesting to hear the thoughts of others on this.
