  1. I actually don't know if this is a Hot Take or not but I think Nintendo's "conference" was worse than Sony's. Sony had interesting things other than a single game to show us at least.

tbh most of Sony's stuff were things we already knew about beforehand as well

If anything Microsoft and Ubisoft were the ones to actually show off some new stuff this year.

I wasn't really judging by whether or not they were "new" persay. I just liked that they showed off more stuff, whether it be new content for the stuff we new about or a new game.

I will say that Ubisoft and Bethesda had much more entertaining stage shows. I don't remember what games Microsoft showed off aside from Cyberpunk 2077 but I think they did okay when it came to presenting themselves too.

But BOTH Sony and Nintendo are at the low end for me this year, which is kind of unbelievable.

EA and Square were the worst though. Especially EA.

Nintendo's conference thus this far was only interesting in the beginning and then it just flopped like a magicarp flopping uselessly on the ground, once they started doing back to back things in the Treehouse presentation.

I don't know man. The format that Sony decided to show off with ruined the whole thing for me. The only things that interested me where Spider-Man, RE2 and Control. Everything else was boring as hell.

I was "interested" in everything Sony had personally. I thought the format was neat, despite the annoying as fuck venue change at the start.

Nintendo showed me one thing I was interested in and even when I try and be un-bias about what games I'm interested in, their format for doing so was terrible. They listed off a bunch of stuff super fast then spent the rest of the time talking about Smash and then fucked off. It's so not on.

My preferred format is just getting from game to game which is why I usually enjoy the direct formula but to each own

That's what Sony did though. Aside from the venue change at the beginning.

Nintendo did that a bit at the start, fast-forwarded through whatever else they had, then dedicated the entire rest of it to ONE game.
