So on my list of games I haven't played yet, I finally got around to Bioshock Infinite after finishing Uncharted 2 and 3. And... I've gotta be honest, for some reason I'm not falling in love with this game like I remember so many people doing when it came out.
I think the setting is neat and the characters are fine but everything feels so repetitive and samey. This alternate dimension stuff feels oddly out of place at the moment. I also don't really know what the story is trying to really say.
I'm kind of pushing myself to finish it at this point.
Aside from reviewers, the game released to pretty lukewarm reaction from those who the story didn't grab, and public opinion has only gotten worse over time. Making extensive use of salt powers kept my playthrough from getting too stale, but even I was starting to sputter out in the last stretch. Can't say the ending was worth it either.
If you are gonna push through, use your abilities a lot and don't try to ration your ammo; the game gives you plenty of what you need and you really need to keep your gameplay as varied as you can if you want to have fun. Murder of crows is always a great time.
Murder of crows kind of feels like the only one of those weird vigors that I'm using. I'm kind of forcing myself to try the others out. I just got the Charge vigor and that one is really lame.
Nice to know that rationing ammo is pointless though. I kind of had a feeling so I wasn't being too safe anyway.
