  2. Switching things up for my birth month with a SpongeBob theme! (Chiefly because I'll be getting BFBB Rehydrated for my Birthday this time next week. It was also gonna symbolize my hype for Sponge on the Run when it was gonna release in August, but we ALL know how THAT turned out.) Avatar is taken from the Season 12 episode FarmerBob, featuring one of my favorite visual gags on the show in recent memory.
  3. I usually hear Jessica DiCicco (Olette in Kingdom Hearts II and Flame Princess in Adventure Time to name a couple roles) in my head when I read Tangle. Still undecided on Whisper, though. (Haven't gotten to the mini or Metal Virus saga yet, so haven't gotten a ton of dialogue from her to imagine much of a voice.)
  4. Previously event-exclusive Spirits are added to the base game for regular unlocking in periodic game updates, so you just have to wait for the next one, as none of those Spirits have been added to the base game yet. You're not doing anything wrong.
  5. Maxwell Atoms (creator of Billy and Mandy) is writing, directing, and producing a Scooby-Doo Halloween movie where they team up with Elvira and Bill Nye to battle DC's Scarecrow. Yes, really.

Looks SUPER fun and it'll make a great double feature with my annual viewing of Underfist come the season proper. Maxwell Atoms is the PERFECT choice to helm a Halloween movie.

i need to read that sentence more than once to fully process that

(in all seriousness, last i recall he was stuck in a rut, his pitch for his next animated series dead meat wasn't picked up. glad he's still getting work)

Good to see WB still going crazy mixing their universes together.

  7. 2020 Annual preview is up, featuring the familiar combined forces of Ian Flynn, Jon Gray, and Big the Cat! Love the nod to Big's theme.
  8. Today will go down as the day that Nintendo finally remembered Baby Wario existed.

I was today years old when I found out there was a baby wario. Wow.

      Crow the BOOLET

What's Nintendo and making everyone into a baby? Do they really think their audience is babies?

      ...And babies aren't qualified doctors!

  9. Piggy-backing on the above post mentioning the History of Sonic Runners video, I'd recommend PatMac's channel as a whole. While it's not really solely a Sonic channel (more an animation and video game fan channel with extra focus on Sonic and Mario in particular), he puts a lot of work into each and every video he produces, creating some of the most interesting/entertaining content I've seen on YT. From merch to lost media, I look forward to everything he puts out, as it's pretty much guaranteed to be worth a watch. Another thing I love about his stuff is the lack of negativity or ranting. After being put off of several Sonic channels in the past because of stuff of that nature, it's really refreshing.
  10. Scratch another 2020 theatrical film. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is moving straight-to-VOD...in 2021.

Geez, at this rate, Onward and Sonic will be the last notable kids movies in theaters this year.

  11. Pretty straightforward one for July. Celebrating the release of The Origami King, here we have Paper Bowser in his adorable pocket form.
  12. Official Twitter acknowledged the leaks and confirmed a full reveal tomorrow.
  13. I love that a Champion Chao Racer apparently holds the key to reconstructing a destructive robot. Very interested to see who this champ is.
  14. Melody of Memory is a rhythm game, releasing for all three console platforms (including the Switch) this year: This being a Kingdom Hearts game, it'll still have further plot.
  15. Kinda hope Insomniac just stick to what they were doing with Miles in the original game and evolve his character naturally rather than feeling the need to kowtow to Into the Spider-Verse just because a lot of people love it. The original game was really cool because it was a fresh take for a new universe and it'd be a bummer for an incarnation released following the creation of it to suddenly divert things.
  16. Been a long time coming, but #28 preview pages have arrived! Like the contrast made between Zor and Silver.
  17. IDW put out a press release for their revised direct market schedule for the rest of the Summer. Sonic-relevant dates: May 27: Tangle & Whisper Trade June 24th: StH #28 and StH V6: The Last Minute July 8th: 2020 Annual July 22nd: StH #29 August 5th: StH #30 August 12th: StH Volume 1 Spanish Edition August 19th: StH #31
  18. Usually go with something gaming-related for June to celebrate E3, but with COVID-19 putting a kibosh on that and me not wanting to jinx any game stuff still expected to release then (namely the Smash and Pokemon DLC) or any potential surprises by being presumptuous, I went for something a little different this year. I ended up picking a Fluttershy theme, as I finally finished MLP FIM on Hulu a couple weeks ago and it put me in kind of a Pony mood. This combo is specifically based on one of my favorite Equestria Girls shorts starring Flutts:
  19. Mega Man Fully Charged is back in comic form, courtesy of an upcoming Boom limited series!

Gonna have to finally watch all of the animated series before I check this out. I'm always up for some new Blue Bomber comics. (I'm also curious if this means that Boom can reprint the Archie series (minus crossovers) so it can finally be complete in trade form?)

Now why does that  company name sound familiar, huh???

Disappointed, ngl. After Archie finally let the license go and pulled it from comiXology, I was hoping a transfer of it to Udon or another publisher was in the works. It's not even mired in the kinds of difficulties the Sonic book likely would have had so it's a shame it's still not being continued. Hopefully in the cards eventually, but this doesn't really raise my confidence of that happening.

Archie Mega’s not coming back. Is it?

I am utterly baffled that out of every potential MM series you could choose to get a comic book continuation, it's fucking Fully Charged

Isn’t bad art megaman like a running joke...?

  20. Heads up: OVER 100 Scooby-Doo comics are currently free to purchase on digital storefronts including ComiXology and Amazon Kindle to celebrate Scoob's release.

I'd personally recommend the eight-volume Scooby-Doo Team-Up series that sees the gang cross paths with everyone from Top Cat to Swamp Thing to Space Ghost. (Including a grand finale featuring EVERY previous version of the gang.)

      This includes Scooby Apocalypse too.

  21. Journeys just premiered in Canada, so it's information time! First, opening: Pretty nice, IMO, but kinda short. Secondly, VA/name confirmation! Professor Cerise's daughter will be called Chloe and Cherami Leigh will be playing her! (You might know her from various projects, including as Minako/Sailor Venus in the Viz dub of Sailor Moon, Natsumi Hinata in Sgt. Frog, Biyomon/Himekawa in the Digimon Adventure tri. films, and even Kris in Pokemon Masters!) Also, from the credits (as well as gleaned from previous information), we've learned that this particular season will utilize both the classic NY talent pool as well as LA VAs, greatly increasing the potential casting options and even bringing voices who've since moved to LA back on to the show. (For instance, Megan Hollingshead, original dub voice of Nurse Joy among other roles in earlier seasons, has been confirmed by the credits as an additional voice!) Last but not least, it seems like the little eyecatch games from the Japanese show will remain as-is in Journeys: Super excited to watch this next month.
  22. Looks like US dub premieres are moving to Netflix starting June 12, with new eps every quarter. Sakuragi will be called Professor Cerise and Go will be called Goh. (lol) Honestly really awesome news, as the anime is kinda the perfect binging show to me. Gonna have to finish Sun and Moon before then. (It'd be friggin' sweet if the June Direct hit that same week.)
  23. Switching up my profile for May with a Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers theme, chiefly because that show's elusive English dub has finally started to surface recently and I've been watching it. As an EMH fan, getting to watch another Avengers show with Colleen O'Shaughnessy as Wasp makes me VERY happy.
  24. ABT tweeted some clean versions of that cover:
  25. We finally got us a release date and gameplay trailer! Rehydrated will launch on June 23rd! It's really cool seeing finalized Robo Squidward.
