  1. These fries from McNasty's are disgusting! I order you all to now call McDonald's McNasty's and while we at it, call Burger King Vomit King, and Wendy's Blandy's!

PS: You do not really have to call them that

Double PS: Sorry for illegally posting before my other post drops.

Everything served at a fast food resteraunt is of exceptonal low quality. Whod've thunk

    2. TailsTellsTales

Wow it dead everywhere. It dead on here, amino, discard, my text messages, and irc for almost hour. See why I hate we--ends? It times like these I begin to think about jumping off the Royal Gorge Bridge. It is a very beautiful place.

Edit: Oh wow some life. Yeah I know if I am being paid minimum wage then you are gonna get minimum wage quality. But it was really bad fries though.

PS: On 70 minute dinner break at work. The most boring and hardest part of the job.

You can handle this in a more suitable manner, you know.

If you really don't feel like staying in your dinner break, can't you request to return to work earlier???

    4. TailsTellsTales

No because of a state law that says associates must take a lunch that is over one hour if they work more than 5 hours. If work less than 5 hours then you can take shorter lunch. You might be right but I have no idea of how to handle it in a better manner. I just start to lose it when nobody says anything to me after long time and I have no idea what to do about it. I kind of out for options. I did went over posts and gave some "reactions" but then silence.

Kinda ironic how phones have made us more disconnected than ever before. Anyway back to work I go!

    5. MightyRay

Tails, instead of whining why don't you support some local diners or something if they're around your area. There has to be at least one decent local take away place where you live. Sure it may cost more but you'd do a better job sticking it to the big guys then telling SSMB the obvious.

    6. Blacklightning

We've had enough of your suicide baiting shtick in the status updates, TTT. Because you keep refusing to heed our warnings, we've decided you're not longer allowed to have them. Enough is enough.

  2. Hey since I'm a weather geek/nerd/freak whatever you want to call it, I would like to know what y'all weather is like currently? I start. It nice and warm here with ZERO clouds!

I also have fancy weather thing that shows me detailed current weather from almost everywhere except the poles. It's so cool!

    1. PC the Hedgehog

      PC the Hedgehog

It was pretty warm earlier, mid-60s and sunshine, but the temp is supposed to drop like a rock tonight. I didn't dress up nearly warm enough for my evening walk.

  3. Does anybody remember the y2k panic of the coming 2000 new year? Here is funny commerical about how people thought it was the end of the world.

    1. TailsTellsTales

Those were some good crazy times. I remember people were so freaked out and preparing for the end of the world. Lots of panic.

    2. Speederino

I remember going to bed on December 31st thinking I might wake up in a world where every electronic had stopped working. First thing next morning, I turned on the Dreamcast and played Sonic Adventure just to see if it would work.

Needless to say, it did 😛

    3. RedFox99

Remember when people thought the world would end in 2012?

My dad, who's a programmer, told me about working to fix glitches during that time. I was too young to remember much if anything from 1999 or earlier.

      Mr Loopone

It was a thing but not as big as it made out to be. It really only applied for old computers and the newer ones got updates on the "Y2K bug". I think older ones went to 1900 instead of 2000.

Actually people were looking forward to the new millennium including myself. If only it was as good as the hype...

@Mr Loopone ain't that the truth!

We have an old home video where our family is celebrating the new millennium. I wonder where our home videos are at...

    8. TailsTellsTales

My family played Prince song 1999 during the 1999 New Year's Eve since we thought might as well end the world with style.

  4. This place used to be so active and now look at it. Here are two pictures of how this place used to look like. This was during 2015 back than.

    1. tailsBOOM!

      Those days look fun

  5. This picture describes me very perfectly.

  6. Begin day 1 of 4 for working in the depths of heck! Why do I have to announce this? Because I have nobody else to scream this to. Anyway have yourself nice Friday and I will be serving the devil here in heck by providing very hard work with little pay.

    1. Cobalt_Bolt

As a former employee for Amazon and Target I can say it was the equivalent of working for Satan with others trying to sabotage you in order to advance their own agenda. Screw their managers and HR as their chickens have come home to roost in recent months.

    2. TailsTellsTales

@Cobalt_Bolt I am shocked you worked at Amazon before. People be doing crazy things. I am glad the store I work at has nice fair management.

    3. Cobalt_Bolt

You're lucky in terms of management. Both management teams that I was under had a penchant for deferring maintenance/letting the other shifts handle the mess made earlier. That was on top of the issues that I've had to deal with mentioned earlier.

  7. Friday is the worst day of the week. It the start of me working 4 days in a row and of course I woke up from nightmare about the same job. Feel good to get that off my back. I look forward to the day that I never have step foot in wa--art and then I would be truely free person.

    1. tailsBOOM!

      Sorry about that man

    2. TailsTellsTales

It's okay most people can't stand their jobs.

  8. I think mobile phones are going to end civilization. Seriously all I do is mess around with the evil thing. I wish could go a week without mobile phone but that is unfortunately impossible since I need the phone to use for uber and because frankly mobile phone is my ONLY method of talking to people. When is the last time you went a week without using mobile phone?

    1. tailsBOOM!

      Don't have one so today

    2. TailsTellsTales

      Wow. You are lucky.

    3. tailsBOOM!

I actually want one... Having a phone is an important thing in this day and age if you want to get a job, need a ride, etc.

    4. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

Around 11 years ago was the last time I used a mobile phone and that was to get me home.

Said phone stopped working shortly after.

  9. Anybody here in COMMUNITY college (Not University!) made any luck with meeting people in college? I just need to prove that it's impossible to make friends in college especially since they are always on the phone including myself.

    1. TailsTellsTales

Wait a second! OMG ssmb is slowly becoming dead place too! That is surprising. Well than I not sure what to do or think about that. Like wow that is unprecedented!

    2. Crow the BOOLET

      Crow the BOOLET

I made a few friends during my college days. However I'm not really in touch with any of them sadly. I miss those days.

I'm just lucky I hanged out where the nerds hanged out and snuck in game consoles to troll everyone with. I suppose I'm just easy to talk to.

    3. Zaysho

Do you not, like, ever talk to people in your classes/on breaks/whatever? I didn't have many close friends in college, but I usually had a few people I could hang out and talk with, and they were normally people I just happened to sit next to in class and would end up in a conversation. And if not, see if there are extra activities or meetups. Can't really expect people to just come up to you all the time.

    4. Kiah

Luck has nothing to do with meeting people. It’s all about how you present yourself, being observant and taking the initiative to interact and try to get to know people.

That pretty much goes for any setting whether it’s a college or a Sonic the Hedgehog forum. These things don’t randomly happen or fall into your lap.

    5. TailsTellsTales

I am going to disagree and say that as a kid, you can literally do nothing and people come up to you. It was horrifying as a kid because I would always try and hide from new people trying to interact with me but then somehow they manage to "get me" and then boom friend! Sadly getting older that does not work. And now you all saying that I got to go up to these people instead?! Have y'all lost y'all minds?! I get intense anxiety and start freaking out trying talk with people and I not exaggerating either. I have actually done this before and it was intensely very hard.

@Zaysho I work and do not have time for extra activities.

    6. Kiah

You need to go back and read what was said. No one said this was easy as that is the case with a lot of things in life. Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone in order to make things happen.

Trust me as I deal with anxiety and shyness but I fight against those things as companionship is a need in life and is definitely worth it.

You can make excuses all you want to but nothing will change and they definitely won’t get better. That said you can consider the suggestions you have been given in order to possibly change things for the better and do something about your loneliness even amid the challenges or you can leave it and continue to be alone and miserable to be completely honest with you. Your choice.

  10. About to start school here. I only got English I and looking forward to vacation in Alabama! Though sleeping in Alabama very hard since they keep the heat at 75F / 24C roasting degrees where I keep my heat at 65F / 18C and you know it hard to sleep when hot.

  11. There is a day when Puerto Rico will become a state. That means we will have either remove a state or combine two states into one to keep it even 50. Which state would you like to remove or which two states should be combined?

    1. tailsBOOM!

      I don't think they'd do that.  There's nothing saying we can't have 51

    2. TailsTellsTales

It says in the Constitution that there might be 50 states and only 50 states. Okay yeah I making that up but still 50 is nice number.

@dbzfan7 You and my sister have the same birthday xD

  14. Help! youtube is down! I am almost home from my 80 minute bus trip and I need youtube since I am too broke to afford comcrud tv. Somebody call 911 right now!

PS: Do not call 911 over this!

I heard about that!  Maybe watch Twitch instead, like I do!

  15. Today marks 26 years since Lord Tails came into our world to bless us with his existence. We honor this great character with candy mints and french fries as well another statue in his honor. Let us talk about why we like Tails so much.

I originally liked Tails as little kid because he could fly which to me at the time was the most greatest coolest thing I ever seen in video game. There are many more but that will do for now.

    Happy Birthday Tails!

  16. Because Tails is so awesome I am going to give him another Happy Birthday wish! Let us begin the pledge of allegiance to Tails in his honor!

"I pledge allegiance to the fox of Miles 'Tails' Prower. And to the glory of Tails for which he flies. One world. Under Tails. The Greatest character to ever live."

    Happy Birthday Tails!

  18. IMPORTANT! How do you unscrew a screw from a wall without screwdriver? I trying get the AC out the window but there are two screws preventing me from doing that and using fingernail clippers, tweezers, and key did not work. Any other things you can use?

    1. tailsBOOM!

What about a credit card?  (Don't know how much space you have).  Or a thin nail file maybe?

    2. TailsTellsTales

I actually just read about that when asking google and unfortunately I did try every thing on google and credit card will break since the screw is that tight and the best luck I had was with tweezers and it did not budge no matter how much force I used.

Unfortunately I am going to have retape the AC wood board and call maintenance to remove it. I spent 20 minutes removing all that tape and here I am putting tape back on.

    3. tailsBOOM!

Sorry about that man... hope it goes well

I'd just go buy a set of screwdrivers when you get the chance. They're useful things to have around. Not sure what else to suggest though...Sorry.

  19. I am really lonely here. It not just loneliness being painful and how nobody has the guts to admit they are lonely because of stigma but it also makes you feel worthless and dead inside.

  20. That feeling when you go to get bread and all the bread is completely raw. :(

  21. Why is it really hard to get one inch of snow here?! You think living in Colorado this not be a problem but every snow seems to be only pitiful dusting. I want big snow where you need a yard stick to measure it. Also on my dinner break.

    1. Emperor Robrainiac

      Emperor Robrainiac

It hasn't snowed that much there?

Dang. I'm going there tomorrow, and I was hoping to see some snow. Oh well, hopefully I'll at least see some snow falling during my stay.

    2. SurrealBrain

I'd kill for the snow to be like how yours is; it isn't snowing yet, but I dread the day when it finally comes.

  22. Happy first day of the week. Yeah I am bored here on break.

    1. TailsTellsTales

Wow Sundays are dead online. Guess the only thing to do is scream.

    2. Bloxxerboy

Today’s the last day of Fall Break for me.

  24. What do y'all think about a phone with a keyboard? I know many of y'all probably really miss those. Here is drawing I made of what it could look to have keyboard phone.

What do y'all think of it? Basically like your standard iphone block except with another block with keyboard and this would be a sideways flip phone than.

    1. MightyRay

Nice drawing, I'd rather you do stuff like this than be obnoxious about your travel schedule.

    2. TailsTellsTales

@MightyRay That is one interesting compliment... I'll take it lol. Thanks.

    3. CrownSlayer’s Shadow

      CrownSlayer’s Shadow

      Looks like a Sidekick 2.0.

I remember they actually made a phone like that drawing, but probably fell out of favor once the first iPhone came out with its touch screen

    4. Ferno

I wish this came out in the west. (So many potential shortcut keys in drawing apps for example.)

    5. TailsTellsTales

There has only been one phone I seen that flipped open sideways and it was the greatest phone I ever had. It was awesome typing messages without looking at the phone. Beautiful buttons, those were the good days.

@Ferno That actually looks really nice.

I think should say that I hate touchscreens and wish they made phones like the one in my picture. I know it would sell crazy well too.

    6. Kiah

That was a combination of a compliment and most importantly sound advice that @MightyRay gave you. Sound advice you should seriously follow.

I would like to see what else you could come up with in your drawings in general as that one of the phone was nice and something that I agree with you on wishing it existed today.

  25. Is it depressing seeing everybody always on the phone everywhere you go? Should we ban phones to bring back civilization and normalness? Even the children do it. Think about the children!

    1. Ferno

My phone is basically a moble extension of my PC whenever I have go to work/ anywhere else. If it weren't for it, I wouldn't get even half of my art-related work done, especially when I'm neck deep in art commissions, etc. Technology is awesome.

    2. MightyRay

I use my phone as a glorified MP3 player on the bus, and waiting for one when I cat sit my Aunt and Uncle's two cats. I do believe too much phone time is bad for your eyes and brain, but the way you voice your concerns, is, to be frank, really bad.

    4. Ryannumber1gamer

Are you really going to use a "think of the children!" argument to prop this up? Because that isn't good, as Mighty says.

No, getting rid of mobile phones is not a good idea. Despite the hindrances that come with them, mobile phones and by extension - tablets - not only allow people to be a lot more productive and complete work anywhere, but they also act as forms of entertainment, either throw playing games, watching movies/TV, or listening to music. Not to mention that said phones allow children to remain in contact with their parents and contact them in the case of emergency.

    9. Blueknight V2.0

      Blueknight V2.0

@MightyRay That's pretty much all I use mine for is an MP3 player (hooked to a pair of speakers via an auxiliary cable), since it really serves no other purpose. Except for playing Bejeweled Stars like once a month and recording audio for my videos about 2 or 3 times a week in maybe 4-5 minute sessions depending on the video. That's why I limit phone usage for when I play Bejeweled because of the bright light (this can happen even after adjusting brightness to low) having an effect on the eyes after long enough exposure.

    10. Kiah

Maybe we should ban obnoxiousness to bring back civilization and normalization first.

Real talk though you are making a big deal out of nothing. Sure there are pros and cons to phones as is pretty much everything else but the pros I feel outweigh the cons by a lot and I’m not the only one that thinks that per the comments here.

With phones you can keep in touch with friends and family, do a whole ton of things on a productive scale, have some means of entertainment and can even be a means of saving lives.

I really wish you would think before making these kinds of statuses. They are disruptive and they really don’t give you a good look at all.

    11. TailsTellsTales

Glad y'all had fun with the post however kinda surprised nobody longs for the old times when everyone wasn't constantly on a phone 24/7. Also people who use tv and computers are not taking it with them everywhere they go. Also we have record people who wear glasses which could be result of constant phone use.

Also friendships are much harder today because everyone is always on their phones which means we don't observe our world. Go back and remember the time when you did not constantly go to phone screen. Remember those days?

Hey @Kiah, was not purposely being as you say obnoxious, however I was expressing a concern I have. There was mix of humor in there too but perhaps you can the way it was worded could have been better.

    12. Supah Berry

      Supah Berry

People could also be wearing glasses because their eyes get weakened by constantly staring at a TV or PC; at least a phone isn't as big as those. The reason people got into phones in the first place is because they asked what if they could take their TV and/or computer everywhere they go. What if you wanted to talk to people in the same room and they were all but you attached to the TV all the time? Smartphones wouldn't be an issue to you if it weren't for how TV and computer abuse became an issue to others, for the same reason.

And chances are, anybody who does use phone could be talking to their friends on there, so don't be quick to assume that people who use cell phones are loners who don't get out and "observe the world" much. If you believe people who are friends online but never met in person is not a real friendship, then I respect that. But there's more to the lack of in person friendships then just people being distracted.

    13. TailsTellsTales

I respect your opinion. All I can say is that I grew up in a time when phones were something that was plugged into the wall and computers with internet was not commonly used. I don't believe you can compare phones technology as new thing like computer was or how tv was when it came out or when the newspaper came out. It is very great point but it ignores the fact that phones today are causing a great unforeseen crisis that is only getting worse. I not saying that to be "obnoxious" it's based on my years of experience and seeing how the world changed. I am certain that even my own phone use is causing negative effects. I no longer see the world the same way.

    14. Kiah

Your track record of status updates says otherwise but whatever you say. Especially since I nor anyone else saw anything funny with what you said there on top of you complaining about this subject several times previously in the statuses.

    15. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

Phones can be very useful especially if you do the thing that they were originally designed for such as talking to people (whether it is talking, texting or these days various online services). Smartphones have also replaced many of the old single use devices such as music players, cameras and yes, people even play games. Some even use them for tickets and allsorts. If you told me 15 years ago that phones would end up like this, I wouldn't have believed you.

The problem is that people rely on stuff way too much depending their entire lives on it. From literally getting them up in the morning to falling asleep at night. I have seen people nearly get killed because they were glued to the phone. Ban phones, no way but at least educate the dangers of using them as well as cutting down use of them when you don't need to.

Also I wear glasses. Not because of phone use (I am perhaps one of the few if not the only person here that doesn't have or use a phone, have a guess why) or the old excuses such as TV but because of genetics. My vision started getting bad during my teenage days and I wasn't on the TV as much or the computer when it started.
