  1. Did she actually say you can do very little in a short space of time and then go on to say you can build a website in an hour and learn to code in a day?? I think its a good idea to give kids a bit of knowledge beyond using Word and Excel but I do have a bit of a problem with all this. Going by the evidence I see in my daughters secondary school I really think they should concentrate on actually teaching kids to be able to read, write and add up the cost of the items in a shopping basket first. I suppose they'll at least be able to hack the school network and change their English and Math grades!!
  2. Its on right now but not seen much news from it. Anybody here lucky enough to go or have you heard any news of our blue hero? Spotted somebody I reconise in this image that has appeared on CNET Here is the full link http://news.cnet.com/2300-10797_3-10019462-18.html
  3. You all must have your Sonic pumpkin carved by now. Everybody must have done this??
  4. Its a shame to see it go but seriously, the last time I hired something from a shop it was on Betamax tape or Atari 2600 cartridge. Sent from my GT-S5830i using Tapatalk 2
  5. I quite like the statement from the developer saying it only lasts a couple of hours a day for two to three weeks. Presumably that's twice a year, early summer and late summer. Death and destruction for six weeks a year. Its only London. I can live with that.
  6. I'm sure I caught on the news this morning that they were reducing the price of the Wii U already and something about a 2DS being released for the younger gamer. Nonetheless, I'm sure the 3DS version of Lost World will way outsell the Wii U version. We'll have the 3DS version at least
  7. When I saw this post I immediately thought about Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga!! I'm going back to about 1989 I think, those 3D rollercoaster like tracks and multiplayer races were a revelation for me. I spent hours and hours continuously playing this game. Also went on to play it on the PC and have played it ever since. Have it on DOS BOX now so I might do a few laps over the weekend
  8. Thanks for the replies. Was thinking of having a wander down to their store in Newcastle at the weekend. Been years since I was last in Forbidden Planet. Never heard of them before, thanks for the tip. I'll have to check their online store when I get in from work today. I'm in Glasgow now and again. I'll have to make a point of finding them.
  9. Can anybody out there recommend a good reliable UK based comic seller? Basically, somebody that isn't going to rip me off!! Google is fine but I'd much rather go by the experience of others
  10. You could try www.ebuyer.com as a price comparison. Wish i had those specs on my desktop. Also wish I had my glasses so I could see what I was typing on this phone:-) Damn you failing eyesight.
  11. Ticket..........check. Train booking..........check. Bags packed..........check. Know which direction London is..........check. ..........check. Time to start heading in a southerly direction
  12. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Muddyfingers (there's an obvious reason behind that name) and I appear to have found myself here some twenty odd years after playing Sonic the Hedgehog. Yes, I'm old enough to remember the first game in the series. In fact, in 1991 I was rapidly approaching my twenties and with far more important things to do than play Sonic games. To cut a long story short....leaving home, university, first job, wedding, first baby!! And that's where it all starts again. My daughter is now approaching her eleventh birthday and is mad keen on a certain blue hedgehog. We've been going back through all the old games and having good fun. She found this site, discovered SOS for the first time and here we are. It's been a lot of years since I was last on a forum like this but hopefully both of us will be here for a while. We're both very fortunate to be attending SOS2013 so we'll see you all there. Be sure to say Hi
  13. I really wish everybody luck on Sunday. I'll have my fingers crossed for you.
  14. Holy ticket sales Batman!! I think I've broken the refresh button on my keyboard thats for sure!
  15. Well hello everybody. I can't believe I've just been successful in bagging a couple of tickets . Can't wait to meet you all. Those tickets went super quick. Anybody know exactly how quick?
