  1. Oh trust me man. I get exactly where you're coming from. That said, I wouldn't say this is a symptom of Balan Wonderworld necessarily being more targeted than more scummy games, but also a look into the scope and setting of each little. That being said, in some ways it is unfortunately worse than those examples you listed. On the basis that they at least do function properly. Balan is an outright bonkers experience. The story is incomprehensible half the time, the gameplay isn't fun in the slightest, and the way the game was actually meant to function is ass-backwards. Now, one could argue that on the merits of the moral values behind other games that yes, things are much worse, and hey, if anything, quite a few GAAS games have been seeing their just deserts for shoddy performance as well there, but I do get what you mean with how it can be frustrating that other games don't get to see pummeled as much as certain others. I suppose with other cases, there lies some hope that they'll get better. Unfortunately with Balan Wonderworld, the very foundation of the gameplay was rotten.
  2. Huh. Well that was unexpected.

So basically it was a really slow news day at FOX News.

  3. It's unclear if the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be available physically in America.

      Dejimon11

Only on Switch. The combined collection of OG trilogy is digital only

  4. It's so nice to see life once again, being pumped into this thread. Now, if leak was anything to go by, apparently more ports of other games would likely be determined by the sales of these games and the supposedly upcoming Ace Attorney 7.
  5. Hmmm. Seems like we're going to see some major hero team action in play.
  6. Regarding Falcon and Winter Soldier's finale:

    Spoiler

The show better not just swipe all the shit Karli did under the rug and give her a pass for it like with the WandaVision finale.

I don’t think Wanda got a free pass. I think she’s technically a wanted fugitive. There’s a reason why she flew out of town right when the cops showed up. Plus the town hates her.

      Jovahexeon The Undyne

Ehhhhh. There's really nothing to suggest that she's a fugitive really. And honestly, with how OP she is now, she probably couldn't even get punished if people wanted to do so.

That she doesn't even say sorry to the townsfolk, try to make amends or even acknowledge how much she fucked over their lives was disappointing.

And the "They'll never know how much you sacrificed for them" line was all kinds of wrong.

If the show was trying to showcase her suffering any consequences,  it certainly didn't feel adequate.

  7. Oh boy. He's finally about to get to work with Jill and Sheva.

    1. The Master

      The Master

He's been so fixated on getting Leon in the bloodline, never thought he'd finally do things himself...

I think you both completely missed what he actually meant but I'll just let you guys have that one. lmao

    3. Jovahexeon The Undyne

      Jovahexeon The Undyne

Oh, I know exactly what he meant, but I prefer to see it as him finally turning to his "good close friends" for assistance at long last instead.

      So....thanks.

      Waveshocker Sigma

What would be REALLY hilarious is if things spiraled down even further by Chris getting payback on Leon. Chris does in fact finally get busy with a lady to continue the Redfield Family bloodline himself.

      The catch?

      Spoiler

      It's Ada.

      The Master

TBH haven't watched it yet, just made a statement on the rest of the series.

  8. Seriously though. If they really wanted to sell Balan Wonderworld at $60.00 and have the story not even be in the game, the least they could've done was sell a copy of the novel with the game. Jesus Christ.

Now do you see why I wasn’t puffing smoke when I said everything of this game feels like a Sonic Team game of the early 2000’s? Great character designs, interesting lore, bunch of wasted potential?

    2. Jovahexeon The Undyne

      Jovahexeon The Undyne

It still feels worse than their output honestly. Whatever they pumped out back then, realized way more of its potential than Balan did here.

    3. Dejimon11

      Dejimon11

Do you think that this was originally meant to be a mobile game before somebody at square was like “let’s put it on consoles”?

    4. Jovahexeon The Undyne

      Jovahexeon The Undyne

It certainly feels more meant to be like a mobile game honestly.

  9. Could be a sign that they're planning to walk back on such a promise.
  10. The Spider-Man Raimi trilogy definitely still holds up to this day. Not just as silly camp affair, but as one of, if not the best translation to live action for Spider-Man. Topher Grace notwithstanding, the casting was on point for it, and even at its worst in 3, it still does provide thought provoking character work and writing.

      Azure Blue Tori

Despite the camp, I remember as a kid being impressed at how grounded the main storyline was. It was basically a teen drama with superpowers added to it. I honestly still prefer Raimi Spider-Man over Marvel's take because despite the cheesiness and melodrama, there's a sincerity in Raimi's take that's missing from the more sarcastic, quippy modern incarnation (doesn't help that Tony Stark replaced Uncle Ben).

    2. Dejimon11

      Dejimon11

The first 2 hold up. They're not what I want in a spider-man movie but i won't lie and say that I don't have fun watching them.

  11. No Way Home is looking pretty interesting.

      TheOcelot

      This is the pick-me-up I needed :)

Would love it if they make a reference to Bully Maguire in No Way Home.

  12. Things we have to thank Ken Penders for:

    Uhhhhh. @Blue Blood's avatar.

    1. Dr. Detective Mike

      Dr. Detective Mike

The Lara-Su Chronicles thread of course. It's the most entertaining thing that's been birthed from Ken Pender's existance.

    2. Supah Berry

      Supah Berry

Scourge; I guess he still has his fans, among other characters he made that people still like.

Though I guess we've him to "thank" for taking them all away and deny them a chance to live better lives.

    3. Shaddy Zaphod

      Shaddy Zaphod

The word is "blame", not "thank"

    4. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

Someone on Retro isolated the eyes and mouth  from the render and made the creepy smile. I just added a shitty background and claimed it as my own creation.

      Just like Ken Penders
