Status Updates posted by Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

  1. Maybe Far From Home was just all one big illusion.....is what the retcons will probably be.

  2. 30+ updates. I see the news of Spider-Man got out.

    1. Thigolf

Yes, because the MCU did so badly without Spiderman

    2. Balding Spider

      Balding Spider

@Jovahexeon Ogilvie Maurice I mean there was already a roadmap without Spider-man in it. *sigh* Well at least the games are safe.

    3. Ferno

they HAD to have that cliffhanger at the end of far from home

    4. Balding Spider

      Balding Spider

How is this story going to work if Peter can't hero worship the MCU's greatest villain?

    5. Jango

Fuck, I was reading about this right now. Sigh... This is exactly what I didn't wanted. They gonna put him in Venom 2, aren't they? Ugh.

    6. Zaysho

I don't really follow or care about MCU, but it's just really funny to me that Disney can't even control their own IP.

    7. Balding Spider

      Balding Spider

You know this sort of helps destroy the illusion of them having all this planned out, especially given where FFH left off. I mean why have it end like that if the deal could fall-though so easily?

    8. Ferno

kinda sad that we wont get an MCU spidey on the interesting take exploring a world where everyone knows who Spider-Man is.

Instead its probably gonna be a thing where its implied/ mentioned once or twice by other MCU Avengers that Spider-Man was more or less "defeated" when his identity was revealed and that he retired from hero work altogether or something like that

    9. Milo

"Led by Tom Rothman and Tony Vinciquerra, Sony just simply didn’t want to share its biggest franchise. Sony proposed keeping the arrangement going under the current terms where Marvel receives in the range of 5% of first dollar gross, sources said. Disney refused."

lmao OF COURSE Tom Rothman was instrumental in derailing the MCU/Spider-Man deal that was being negotiated. His track record with Marvel properties when he was at Fox (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Fant4stic 2015, and having zero faith in Deadpool) speaks for itself.

    10. Wraith

That's what Disney gets for getting greedy. They can get fucked

  3. I've officially begun a playthrough of Batman the Telltale Series. Want to see what all the buzz is about.

  4. Peeing Simulator - A Kojima Production

  5. Oh boy oh boy. X-Men comics sure had an insane retcon this past week.

    1. AlphaRuby

      In a good way?

Or in a "I am so glad the writers aren't doing the MCU films" way?

    2. Teoskaven

Let me guess, they pulled the same shtick the Ultimate universe pulled in Ultimatum.

    3. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      @Teoskaven,nah check this out:

It turns out Moira Mactaggert was a mutant all along

Oh and not only that, but she's a mutant capable of living multiple lives in different universes/outcomes.

      @AlphaRuby Eh. Hard to say.

    4. Teoskaven

      Wow. Fucking seriously.

  6. It's scary how accurate the Activision speech was, especially given recent developments.

    1. Supah Berry

      Supah Berry

      - "Yeah, Mario? About that invitation letter you were gonna surprise Crash with?"

      - "Nevermind that. I'm giving Microsoft a call so we can we talk about it."

  7. So, @Perkilator. Feeling perky as usual?

    1. Perkilator

Yep! In fact, even more than ever after Sora won the Guinness World Record.

  8. bta6x1wpjaf31.jpg

Well, bully for us if that means we'll get that Twinsanity remake.

    1. AlphaRuby

Plot twist, turns out to be either Crash Bash or Wrath of Cortex

  9. No matter how unsurprising it is, it's still depressing how Activision took a beloved classic, made it into a microtransactions fest, all while prioritizing microtransactions over fixing the very real issues with that game.

    1. Perkilator
    2. Ryannumber1gamer

It depresses me more to see how many people will just support and defend it now.

  10. Well,  I saw Lion King today with the fam while on vacation. Surprisingly, I actually found it an enjoyable time.

It's not quite as good as the original (and for every thing I feel they improved on, there did feel like there were a few down grades. They definitely weren't all

prepared for that "Be Prepared" sequence.

That said though, overall the voice talent, visuals (facial animations notwithstanding), music was wonderful.

Story was sure faithful alright, with some few changes. Pity they left out

the stick and "It doesn't matter.  It's in the past"

    scene though.

But yeah, at the end of the day, it's a good movie.

    1. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

I'll admit,  I wasn't expecting to enjoy it. I can see why it's garnered its following despite its flaws.

  11. Smash news today was keen. Crash news today....well.....

I pity anyone who  didn't see this coming. The writing was on the wall from the start

    1. Supah Berry

      Supah Berry

Tune in next week for another hype game of:

    2. NegaMetallix

Well, at the very least, CTR's giving us some good reaction images...

    3. tailsBOOM!

      Told everyone TSR was better.

    4. mayday2592

yeah no.. Atleast CTR can be fun.

    5. tailsBOOM!

I haven't heard any non-Crash fans say that.  And I've had plenty of fun with TSR and have known others that did, too.  At least SEGA didn't push a half-finished product out the door with bugs galore and monetization for in game items.

    6. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

Honestly, both TSR and CTR NF are fun in their own respective ways. But it can't be denied that the latter is becoming more of a drag thanks to Activision's practices.

    7. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

And yeah, @tailsBOOM! is right about CTR NF lacking polish where it counted upon release in comparison to the competition (and it still has plenty of those issues too).

    8. mayday2592

No theey made  a "new" game  where half the courses are rehashd, the other are bland and forgettable. Awfully written story made that made the characters annoying with terrible missions and irittating power ups. Not mention a terrible roster. Need I go on?

    9. TCB

Dont worry y'all that new Garfield kart game will right the kart racer ship that MK8 started

    10. Supah Berry

      Supah Berry

Just watch as Mario Kart Tour mop the floor over all of them with its gacha gimmicks.

      ...What's keeping that game, anywhere?

    11. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

@mayday2592 Debatable.  I can see you don't find it fun and I respect that. But given the subjective nature,  I don't really agree either.

I'll say this. If CTR NF didn't have all its problems, I'd find it to be the better game. But as things are the way they are, I find TSR the better experience overall from start to current phase.

    12. DanJ86

Oh, I was indeed waiting for this. Expected it sooner actually. Activision is Activision.

  12. I'm giving this update to ya'll while underwater.

    1. Sonic Fan J

      Sonic Fan J

      Try to stay dry.

    2. tailsBOOM!
    3. Eurisko

      Thats actually kinda cool.

  13. Invisible beakers. Masks hitting from meters away. Not getting Nitro points as promised.  Horrible hit detection and the works. Oh boy. CTR's online is at it again today big time.

    1. Harkofthewaa

I especially love it when the game goes back to the lobby without bringing up the results screen, and you get nothing (which happened to me TWICE yesterday), even more so during Wumpa Time.

    2. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

Combine those with invisible walls and you've got a recipe for ick.

  14. Please oh please, let that new "Nights" trademark mean what I hope it means.

    1. Dejimon11

      A pachinko machine

    2. Menace2Society

Honestly, judging by the name, it sounds more like some weird attraction title instead of an actual game, so I couldn’t really care less about it, unless I’m wrong.

And I hope I’m wrong cuz a new Nights game would be nice right about now.

    3. Jango

It's gonna be a pachinko and you know it.

    4. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

@Jango that's a dubious claim to make if you're being serious. Hopefully not.

  15. 1 British Bandicoot. 1 Japanese Bandicoot. 1 Italian Bandicoot. 2 American Bandicoots. Not a bad combination, I daresay, Beenox.

kinda wierd we don't have an Australian bandicoot though.

Well, I guess we have Crash himself....

    God help us.

    1. NegaMetallix

      "H A A A H ! ! !"

    2. Perkilator

      C A S H B A N O O C A

    3. PC the Hedgehog

      PC the Hedgehog

Weird to think that Carlos Alazraqui voiced both Crash and Spyro at one point.

    4. Jango

I would pay real money for a "voice pack DLC for Crash" with quotes from this.

  16. 1 Australian Bandicoot of course. 1 Japanese Bandicoot. 1 Italian Bandicoot. American Bandicoots. Not a bad combination, I daresay, Beenox.

    1. NegaMetallix

I thought Liz was meant to be British.

    2. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

Is she? She sounds Australian. Then again, she does mention "biscuits".

    3. NegaMetallix

I'm pretty certain she's British. Liz was originally named after the then-PR Manager for SCE Europe, and her voice actor in Nitro-Fueled (Victoria Atkin) is also British.

    4. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Ah, okay then. She's British.

    5. NegaMetallix

Funny thing is, even though Liz is the Brit of the group... she's also probably my least favourite member of the Nitro Squad. Maybe it's her personality, or her taunts. I dunno.

You have a favourite and/or least favourite?

    6. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Hmmm. That's a tough one.

  17. I haven't gotten this new Twitter layout. Judging by Mr. @Zaysho's reaction, that makes me one of the lucky ones.

    1. TheOcelot

      The new layout is rubbish.

    2. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon
    3. tailsBOOM!

I've had it for two weeks.  It takes some getting used to.  Here's what it looks likeimage.thumb.png.d3de9dc8924438057380a9d8dcbb61bd.png

    4. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon
    5. NegaMetallix

Huh. Looks different from the layout I currently have.

Guess I've also got the old one for the time being.

    6. Ellipsis-Ultima

      Yeah I saw that too.

This is why I use mobile.

  18. Crash Tag Team Racing sure has quite the obsession with Uranus.

  19. Should I ask what they think of me? Ah, what the heck, today's been good to me for the most part do far and I'm ready for the worst possible scenario. Bring it on.

What do ya'll think of moi?

    1. Dejimon11

The annoying brother I never wanted but for some reason grateful to have.

    2. tailsBOOM!

You're a very cool guy.  Your nerdy/geeky interests often align with mind (Even if I can't get into Phoenix Wright and you Golden Sun), and you're fun to talk to in general.  I always look forward to what you have to say.

    3. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

@Dejimon11 Heh, I'll admit bud. You're like the second younger sibling (brother, cause I've already got a "little" sister) I never had too.

    4. Emperor Robrainiac

      Emperor Robrainiac

I like your upbeat attitude, and I've had fun interacting with you whether it be RP business or even just talking in general.

Hopefully we'll get to work together on something in the RP like we planned at some point... What it would be, I don't know, but I'm sure we could come up with something good!

    5. Polkadi~☆

Ohoho! Ready for the worst possible scenario, are we?

You’re definitely a, shall I say, keen fellow. You shamelessly show off your interests, enough that I know that there’s someone else out there who acknowledges that Mega Man: Star Force is a thing. You can also be a bit bullheaded, sticking steadfast to whatever thoughts and opinions you have, for better or for worse.

    6. Failinhearts

No doubt a dedicated, well articulated man with positivity to spare. No doubt a strong presence I appreciate here!

    7. Ryannumber1gamer

      "Oof, so much history here"

      "Well, here goes nothing..."

Good lord, where do I even start with this, there's so much to go over. Long-time friend, eternal rival, ally. It seems like no matter the situation, it just meshes well. You're one of the members I've known on here for what must be the longest. We've worked on tons of projects together, let it be RP related, Game Night, or what have you.

Hell, usually when we team up in Smash, let it be Link/Cloud, or Bowser/Ridley, it usually results in the always sweet to hear victory music. You're got a lot of interesting things to say, and as you said on my status, we're interested in a lot of the same franchises, which usually tends to mean we're sharing thoughts on them at some point or another.

It's been a fun few years, and here's hoping to a good few more.

    8. Ellipsis-Ultima

The way you state your facts and opinions reminds me of the way Phoenix Wright operates in court. You're a keen fellow with a way of words.

  20. Nash is essentially a living, breathing Austin Powers reference.  Props to anyone who gets that reference and can explain it.

  21. That new MCU Taskmaster design is quite...........the YIKES.

  22. Looks like I'm on the winning team for this final Splatfest.

  23. So...they resurrected Cottonmouth to be Blade. That's a win.

    1. tailsBOOM!

Plus Fantastic Four is back (And hopefully good this time)

    2. Tails spin

      Tails spin

If the f4 fail with the MCU then its a cursed franchise

    3. Dejimon11

      You mean the Prowler? ;)

    4. Perkilator

An absolute win, as Professor Hulk would say.

    5. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

@Dejimon11 Oh yeah, he was in Spider-verse too, wasn't he? Albeit Cottonmouth is who he was before in the actual MCU.

  24. Gee, how nice of Fox to provide a clip to one of the most despised reasons that Dark Phoenix stinks.

    1. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

That they consider this a highlight is hilarious.

    2. The Tenth Doctor

      The Tenth Doctor

Wow, that line is worse than I thought. It came out of fucking nowhere!

    3. AlphaRuby

Maybe Disney is trying to sabotage the movie's home video chances?

It's the only reason I can think of that they released this clip.

    4. KHCast

Meh, I get what they were going for, but it had no context or lead up to it. It comes off random, but I think it could have been more badass had they actually put it in a good movie

    5. Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

      Nina Cortex Jovahexeon

@KHCast Considering the context of that line doesn't even make blipping sense considering it contradicts the facts that there's not some stupid gender ratio of who saves who, let alone the fact that X-Men isn't even a gender-based title to begin with, even in a good movie that scene and line would be terrible.

Besides, that's far from the only problem with that scene.

@AlphaRuby Or, Fox just legit thought it was a good scene. Not that they haven't done stupid crap with their franchise before.
