  1. So is that boss in the Phobos gameplay Hayden?  Regardless I'm curious as to why Doom Guy's got the Crucible now.

      the three finger dude?

      No, those are Arch-Viles.

On one hand I don't think it's Hayden because of the fact that Slayer has the Crucible, meaning he probably encountered Hayden and won the fight.

But on the other hand, I'm not sure if this demon was in classic games or not. Cyberdemon was easily recognizable at the end of Doom 2016 E3 demo. This? Not so sure. His build is somewhat similar to Hayden.

Granted, I haven't played the classic games, so...

EDIT: Welp, the answer above shows how little I know about the classic games...

These guys could resurrect other demons and were a pain in the ass to deal with.

But they look sick as Hell pun intended.

Whether he turns demon or not, I hope they don't waste Hayden as an anti-villain.  He had some really good set up in the last one and it'd be a shame for him to wind up as some early boss to kill off.

For all we know that Crucible thing might've been just for the demo and isn't even ingame.

      Isn't unheard of.

That did cross my mind.  A weapon like the Crucible feels like a big endgame goody than any early days weapon, so the demo might not tell the whole truth.
