  1. Going to sleep now. This was a good birthday. A little quieter than usual, but good.

    Have a great night everybody!

Happy BDay bud! Sorry I missed it

  2. IGN posted their segment from the livestream yesterday, so here it is if you don't want to dig through the whole thing: ...yeah, that AI definitely needs to perform more competently in the final build or Single Player could get really frustrating. I do like how this track looks though! Artstyle nitpicks aside, it's always fun to explore Planet Wisp's wildlife and luscious trees.
  3. You know what's funny?

My New 3DS XL has been giving me trouble since early last year, not reading my cartridges. I've been trying on and off to try fixing it to no avail. All the while, my dream handheld arrives in the form of the Nintendo Switch.

Today, on my birthday, I decided to tinker with the 3DS again. Other devices were being slow, so I figured I'd kill time. Lo and behold, I managed to get it to work on a whim! So while the Switch may take a little longer for me to get, at least I have a birthday present in the form of my old New 3DS.

You have turned it into a New Old New 3DS!

      Also, happy birthday!

  4. I'm usually scared to come back here because I've been gone for so long. Don't want to unintentionally burn bridges by not talking to people, yet that's exactly what I keep doing.

...huh. Guess I've been awake for too long. G'night everybody!

You’re speaking as if you cause problems and that’s not the case. Taking breaks and lengthy breaks from here is totally understandable. Remember that the only way one is unwelcome here is if they are banned.

That said no worries and it’s good to see you again. Good night!

    2. Zaysho

I wouldn't worry about it, bro. Sometimes people just drift away, interests/priorities shift. But you shouldn't feel like if that happens you'll hurt your standing with anyone.

@Kiah Really, being welcomed here isn't all it's cracked up to be!

@Zaysho Implying I don’t know this already...wanting to get banned isn’t just some thing we joke about you know! 😉

@Kiah @Zaysho  Thanks a bunch guys. You really know how to raise some spirits. 🤗

  5. Being an optimist and a realist is hard. The talent behind this movie that we know of so far has actually done pretty good work. Marza always knocks the CGI out of the park. Marsden and Sumpter are big enough names to draw in folks like my parents who wouldn't otherwise care. The writing staff does seem to have a pretty decent sense of humour, and the directors have experience with fast paced action. But all of that talent would be for nothing if the story doesn't carry the spirit of the property it's handling. This kind of story isn't inherently bad, but the description doesn't feel like a good fit for Sonic's character. I see enough conspicuous writing on the walls to be concerned. Here's hoping we get more positive news regarding this movie soon...
  6. So...

Square was underwhelming, Sega snuck in some ports, Crush 40 is back, Ubisoft threw a curveball, and Sony marched to the beat of their own drum.

    Anything else?

I'm stuck in kingdom hearts hell.

Playground Games & Turn 10 invaded Great Britain with Forza Horizon 4 with no road-works to be seen (praise the sun for that.)

  7. Oh man, we had some great fights in the Archie comic. You've got your classic "Endgame" slobberknocker between Sonic and Eggman, and the various clashes of True Blue and Rad Red (special shout out to Mecha Madness). The Good The Bad and The Unknown four parter was pretty interesting, if not a little messy. And there were a ton of other little skirmishes that also deserve mention for being pretty great. But if we're going into favourites? 160 - 200 had some of my absolute favourite moments in the series, period. Heartwarming scenes, great points of tension, and payoff that was a long time coming. Sonic, Shadow and Scourge v. Croctobot was an unexpected trip down memory lane. Darkest Storm was an insane clash of wills, gracing us with some insane looking stills. M and Sir Connery will be missed. Order from Chaos gave a better send off to Tommy Turtle than he probably deserved, as well as having a great clash between Super Sonic and ADAM. I Am might not have had the most spectacular fight, but all of its elements were really enjoyable. I love the premise, and I feel it was a great way to adapt Shadow the Hedgehog...without actually adapting Shadow the Hedgehog. Snively's hair-trigger temper, the reveal of Nicole's holo form, that heart to heart with Professor Gerald and Maria, there were some really stand out moments here. The build-up to Knothole's destruction were peppered with some great developments, Antoine and Bunnie's marriage definitely being adorable. ...which made the utter decimation of 175 all the more heart-wrenching! While it may not have lasted very long, Eggman's total victory over Sonic was a jaw-dropper. 177 as a whole was a satisfying return to form for the Freedom Fighters, but Sally's symbolic haircut and the ending speech from Sonic made me a giddy man. The Enerjak Reborn Saga was delicious. It was only a few issues ago that the status quo was turned on its head, and then this happens. A lot of great quips, action a plenty, and a surprising amount of drama. It even managed to make me shed a tear for Locke. Poor Knuckles. Mammoth Mogul asserted himself as a dangerously genre savvy strategist thanks to Mogul Rising. While not necessarily a fight, it was a frightening race against time. Dripping with tension. Bonus points for leading into a fun side story involving the Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad again. The King Scourge Saga was another great romp, with an even better climax in the form of Hedgehog Havoc. Everyone v. Super Scourge was a very unnerving concept, and it had some pretty decent character development for Moebius as a world. The conversation between Scourge and Jules I feel is a very underrated side story. And all of it culminates in a glorious two day assault on the Eggman Empire. From tying up loose ends left with the Council to taking down the Egg Phoenix, day one was no slouch. But day two...my word. Stopping the Doom Laser in Universe #2, the final push in #199 and the duel between Sonic and Eggman to end it all. Issue 200 felt massive because of everything else that had come before it. And I will never forget the feeling of breathlessness I had after it was over.At last, true payback for the devastation of Knothole. I could go on, but I think I've made my point. I love this series.
  8. I'm really happy that SSMB decided to do the sing-a-long again! I was there for Pumpkin Hill and was hoping something like this would happen again. This was a lot of fun to do, so much so that I went a bit overboard with how many recordings I made. I've decided to stick to Fist Bump and Theme of Infinite for my contributions: Fist Bump Theme of Infinite Doing all three was the ideal situation, but I wanted to wait until I completed Forces and heard Light of Hope in context. Semester projects haven't left me much time to devote to the game, and I intend to be as spoiler free as I can be until they're done. In any case, Fist Bump was a blast to do. I've been trying to sing Infinite's theme every now and again since its initial reveal, so I was happy to finally learn it proper. Man, the finished product of all our singing is going to certainly be something. Bring it on everybody!
  9. A Sonic free running event?! It's about time! You'd think that they would have done something like this for Lost World's release considering the parkour, but whatever. I follow these guys on Instagram, so I'm pretty hyped to see this in action. Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  10. Neither. I actually didn't mind the levels themselves. They were rather bland, but nothing terrible. It's just aggravating to play a bland level running at what feels like 10 FPS and watching real time cutscenes stutter constantly. ...wait, the PC ports crash at the 3rd level?! If that had happened to me, that would have been a rage quit right then and there! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  11. I bought it. Preordered it for PC, as I don't have any of the other platforms yet. And I realized too late that my laptop can barely run it. Pitiful framerate and input lag galore, even at the absolute lowest settings. I tolerated it until the third stage, and put it down. So until the extra RAM comes in, I've been deaperately trying to avoid spoilers like the plague. I'll reserve full judgement until I can get the blasted game to work properly. Definitely looks and sounds gorgeous so far though. Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  12. It's funny because no one can Blaze it Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  13. Nice! Not as colour heavy as I thought, but it's pretty clean. I'll snag it. ...is it wrong that this reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist? The Phantom Ruby in 2D seems an awful lot like a pomegranate Philosopher's Stone. Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  14. Well, if it is an illusion, that would explain the lyric from his theme. Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  15. Nice! This is probably my favourite Custom Hero track so far. The drum and bass reminds me a bit of Aquatic Time from Zero Gravity's OST, and I can't wait to see how it'll complement the level's pacing. On a side note, I have a small theory about when this level takes place. The description mentioned that you're navigating the burning forest. In Infinite's reveal trailer, we see Infinite preparing to attack the forest from above with some sort of explosion. Perhaps after encountering one of the Sonics (not sure if it explicitly is Modern or Classic) in the ancient ruins, he lays waste to the area. The resistance then sends in the Custom Hero to investigate the freshly burning forest pathway. I could be wrong, but just a thought. Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
