Yes, it’s dated and minimal but it’s still a thrill for me to enjoy due to how simple it is and growing up with it.
Plus it had the best hit sound effects, period.

The two worlds thing still makes me want to rub my temples. Even though Sonic X did something like that, I never once thought about it with any of the actual games growing up.
Even looking at it as potentially their way of hand-waving their own inconsistency with the games' locales, I still don't see it as something that even needed hand-waving in the first place, and I don't see how all of it would make any less sense as one world in a series like Sonic. I loved that post-reboot Archie treated it that way and I thought Ian did a great job tying everything together. I'm sure he'll do a great job fleshing out the two worlds thing as well, but... eghh.

There's a new Nendoroid BotW Guardian... and it comes with a translucent Game Over screen.
    This is amazing.

Been replaying inFamous 1 and 2. Even though I really like Cole MacGrath in both games, I still can't shake the feeling that the changes they made to him (voice, appearance, etc.) in 2 make him feel like a different character.
Don't get me wrong, they're good changes, but I just have a hard time picturing inFamous 1's Cole in 2's story and vice versa.

I'm super happy to see all of these Archie artists reprising their roles with IDW, but I also feel like I haven't seen enough hype for Matt Herms returning for colors. I still remember when his work debuted in StH 195 and I was blown away. That issue (especially along with 199 and 200) was total eye candy.

I didn't think Tomy would make any modern Sonic figures past Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, but now that they've shown they're committed to continuing the line, I kind of want them to keep going. It would be cool to see them eventually reach the character selection Jazwares had, and maybe even ones like Rouge and Omega which they never got to make.

Can I just say how much I appreciate how each new 3D Mario game adds features to Mario's basic moveset that feel totally organic? Stuff like jumping out of a Ground Pound and long-jumping out of a somersault already feel like things we would try to experiment with naturally even if those extra moves weren't there (if that makes sense). And then additions like turning the somersault into a full-on rolling mechanic make him even more enjoyable to play as.
I loved what 3D World added to Mario's moveset, but my one main issue was that the time limit and the course-based nature of the levels prevented you from experimenting too much. But now with Odyssey, we can screw around with these new mechanics for as long as we want and it's amazing.

One of my most memorable Sonic moments...is when Live & Learn played the lyrical version for the first time during the final boss. The same riff that you hear throughout the entire game occurs, except it's more bombastic and then lyrics kicked in and my eight year old brain could barely process it all.

I like when games do that, take a recurring riff and remix that shit.

Now that I think about it, I actually think it would sound better if the music for the first and second phases of the Perfect Chaos battle in SA1 were switched. It would fall more in line with the modern arrangement of playing the traditional dark, sinister music first and the inspiring main theme after.
