  1. You American's may be jealous of the UK Cartoon Network and its more diverse schedules, but you still have the superior Boomerang...

However not a lot of people have boomerang....so you still win....crap

    2. FriendBot

Yeah, all 187 000 people who actually bother to watch that channel

    3. KHCast

I forgot it existed until members here started talking about it cause sonic

    4. Tara

Even that is debatable when US Boomerang is now essentially becoming the Con's metaphorical trash can.

Your Boomerang airs stuff from CN's back catalogue doesn't it?

    6. FriendBot

There's gonna be an online streaming service for that, making the channel even more pointless.

It airs older shows really late at night and sprinkles the same damn Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry shorts throughout the day, but for the most part the station is where shows that weren't immediately popular go to die.  As well as copious amounts of Gumball, Teen Titans Go, and PPG2016.

If you looked at our Boomerang without any prior context as to what the channel is or was in other parts of the world, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was just another kids channel with no connection whatsoever to CN.

Also our Boomerang doesn't even have Boom anymore. It made its UK debut on the channel, aired on it for a few months and then disappeared completely, all before your Boom airings moved to the channel at all.

As of now, Boom doesn't air on UK TV at all.

Boom's an odd one, because it was extremely successful over here, even managing to beat out Wabbit and Be Cool Scooby Doo in their premiere months IIRC

    11. FriendBot

Yeah, seems like Boom might have a good chance of surviving for another season if the ratings it's getting on Boomerang stay in that range.

I don't think we even had the entirety of season 1 air on TV here. Instead we just got what was left on DVD.

Also I don't think Boom S2 hasn't aired in the UK, has it?

I know it just started airing in France a few weeks ago so yeah.

I want those DVDs so bad

We did have the entire series air I think. I remember recording them on Sky as they came out.

Hasn't aired here yet, but it did take til June for Season 1 to air.

I don't recall ever seeing the Shadow one on TV.

Still, they decided to air every episode out of order for some reason, so it may have aired earlier and I didn't notice.

    16. FriendBot

Actually, I think how the episodes aired in the UK is going by the production numbers.

Wasn't it confirmed that the UK is getting boom season 2? The date isn't mentioned though.

A loooooooong time ago, UK Boomerang was a good companion to Cartoon Network as in that it played the older cartoons (usually from the HB library) while CN played the newer Cartoon Cartoons. It even had Danger Mouse. Now its the same stuff on a loop [some Mr Bean cartoon even though they did put the live action version, Tom & Jerry, Scooby Doo, some secondary cartoons] and no way of knowing what episode you are watched on the rare time they put something new, not as extreme as Teen Titans Go on a loop though. Similar thing to Cartoon Network actually and why I haven't watched them for years (excluding the brief time regarding Wabbit). Oh and their on demand service is very half hearted (when Sky had their free box sets offer, they only had the 1st 20 episodes of Batman: Brave and the Bold and a very few shows).

It also has some poor marketing for shows that aren't Adventure Time or Regular Show. Like I watched the first 20 episodes of Wabbit and enjoyed but then it repeated the series on a loop and logically stopped watching, didn't know a Season 2 came out since I thought they only aired the first 20 instead of 52 of the first season and whatsever for Season 2. I didn't know Boom and Justice League Action aired on those channels, especially the latter as I would have watched it.
