      Wait seriously...?

Yeah, I'm with Edd on this. I think you might wanna get a doc on the phone since if it's a big vessel it could cause a lot of damage.

@SenEDDtor Missile Didn't anyone tell you the last bloody thing you should do in an emergency is panic

I would go to the doctor just to be sure. Alway better to be safe than sorry.

Go to the doctor ASAP to get a proper medical assessment.

    8. Failinhearts

Yeah, go to the doctor. Make sure this isn't serious.

      I sure hope it isn't...

My advice, seek medical attention right away.

Agree, get your local doctor and hope it’s nothing too bad.

      Get better.

I can only echo what everyone else has said, better safe than sorry.

I do agree with everyone else.

Even if you think it's not serious, it's still blood flowing out of place and worth checking before it evolves into something serious.

    13. Osmium

I should say to clarify that it's your own choice to get examination of you believe it is serious enough, I would do so myself.

Glad to hear it, thanks for taking our advice, even if it turned out to be nothing in the end.

I would definitely get it checked out as soon as possible if you haven’t done so already. Our health is just one of those things you shouldn’t take chances on as it is better to be safe than sorry amid uncertainty. Just too many things can go wrong by one simple thing abnormally happening within our bodies.

Hope it’s nothing serious and you’ll be okay.

Whoa man, glad to hear you're ok. I wouldn't take something like that lightly in the future.

Glad you're okay. Things like blood vessels rupturing need to be taken seriously as you might not know the true extent of the damage without a professional examining it.

Okay I really need to refresh pages before making replies to important statuses like this...In my defense I wanted to express my concern for you right away as the situation seemed urgent enough.

I totally missed the message that you were okay and I was going to send you a PM to see how you were doing. Was checking my email notifications this morning and context-wise learned that you were okay. Glad and relieved to hear that.

You just never know with these things with our health so it’s better to be overly cautious as opposed to nonchalant any day to possibly avoid and prevent serious problems.

I appreciate the concern, thanks guys. I honestly wasn't expecting this sort of response when I made the status to begin with.

What happened was I'd been coughing really badly over the last few days, and last night I coughed so hard that I made myself throw up, within which there was an eggcup's worth of a bright red substance that I could only assume was blood (I hadn't eaten anything red that day), after which the back of my head felt sore.

The paramedic confirmed that I had simply burst a minor blood vessel in my throat and there was no cause for alarm.

I've had this cough for quite a while however, so I'm going for a chest x-ray later this week.

    24. Failinhearts

Glad you're fine at the very least. I've been to too many hospital and clinic visits recently for my liking, so I'm glad things won't come to this for you.

    25. Kiah

What can I say? Issues and rifts aside we’re like family here as we care and make it a point to show concern when the time calls for it often. The majority of the responses here I think really reinforces this.

Glad it was nothing serious. I guess have an automatic paranoia when it comes to blood vessels bursting as I had one and a tumor developed on my right hand as a result last year. Thankfully it was benign but to say I was terrified is a severe understatement.

But you’re okay (with the blood vessel at least. Hope you can get that cough cleared up soon) and that is what is most important here ?

    26. Ryannumber1gamer

Just seeing this now, happy it ended up being nothing in the long run, but still it was good to check and be sure that it was nothing huge.

I do hope that cough leaves soon. Having a violent cough is the worst and if it was enough to cause this in the first place, that can't be very pleasant. Just take good care of yourself and try to relax.
