  1. And then they went had them brainwashed again in 215. Basically, it sucks to be a walrus on Mobius.
  2. What if the only reason legendary Pokemon can’t breed in the games is because they can only breed in the wild?

  3. Why do people hate that there are two Mewtwos in the Pokemon anime universe but don’t care that there are also at least two sets of Johto legendary beasts?

Also 2 Lugias with one having a...baby...

      Wait what? ...Pokemon whyyyyy

Lugia is easier to accept. Lugia is a legendary, yes, but there’s nothing in Pokemon lore to debunk the idea that there could be more than one.

Also, legendaries being unable to breed is purely an in-game thing.

Mewtwo is a scientific experiment. What are the odds that two people made an exact copy of mew to the tee. Only one of them known to have the ability to mega evolve.

It makes it more unrealistic to accept

The odds are VERY high, actually, considering how ridiculously easy cloning and reviving Pokemon is.

Depending on realism for an argument about Pokemon is outright silly.

@Tails spin there are ways to explain it if you’re willing to reach a bit far.

Maybe some of the documentation on the old Mewtwo survived and another group of scientists decided to recreate it.

Maybe original Mewtwo left a trace of DNA somewhere, and new Mewtwo is in fact a direct clone of old Mewtwo.

      You're assuming I don't care about that.

I don't care whether or not it's possible that a Legendary can breed - from a narrative standpoint, I find it cheapens the grandeur they're ostensibly supposed to have, and raises a whole bunch of questions especially concerning their first appearances (like, why did Team Aqua go to so much trouble to reawaken Kyogre when you can apparantly just go to Alola and drop a line to get one? And why is the Lugia in M02 so godlike in role and ability, while every other Lugia are just big birds? Is it some super-mutant? Are the others literally stupid runts?). It's especially galling for Mewtwo both due to his "No Plans, No Prototype, No Backup" origin, but also the fact that he's a Legendary Pokémon who was a character in his own right, and not a dumb Hulk Smash dinosaur like, say Groudon.

The games are at least less openly brazen about it, but I won't lie, the stuff behind Solgaleo and Lunala makes me wonder why anyone in-universe still considers them Legendary even after they learn they're just some strong guys from another world who are probably dime a dozen and not the least bit special there.

And then you have Meltan, who I honestly have to wonder why it's even a Mythical at all and not just a common Steel-type.

EDIT: Oh also the existence of multiple Kyogre raises the obvious question of why the world hasn't been flooded to oblivion fifty times over.

One could simply believe the Kyogre from Hoenn and the one in Alola are the same individual creature.

  4. Also from Babylon Rising. Totally obvious those are Tracey’s words, not Paul Kaminski’s.
  5. What should the next core series Pokemon game after Sword and Shield be: Sinnoh remakes or Let’s Go sequels set in Johto?

Sinnoh remakes would make my day, even as a non Switch owner.

    3. Ferno

I'd rather have Sinnoh remakes even though I prefer Johto over Sinnoh. mainly because I don't really like what the Let's Go games did to Kanto tbh.

    4. DarkRula

      Sword/Shield -> Sinnoh Remakes -> Staff

  6. Something to consider, concerning Vic Mignogna not being in TSR: the games voice recording likely would have been done months ago, before the games original winter 2018 release, and the accusations against Vic didn’t start coming until around late January or early February of this year.

This tells me that a) Vic wasn’t going to be in the game anyway, or b) he was, but his recordings were scrapped once the accusations came to light.

  7. That story was drawn by Ken, right? Sometimes I forget there was a time where his art was just immensely mediocre and not a full-frontal assault on the eyes.
  8. What I learned today: Sonic Lost World has a Japanese voice actor in common with the OVA.

Zomom and Old Man Owl are both voiced by Chafūrin.

    1. Thigolf

Gamma from Sonic Adventure and Zavok also share the same japanese voice actor.

  9. Blaze now shares a voice actor with Barbie.

  10. I’ve come to accept that the geography of Kanto in the Pokemon anime is a bit different from the games.

If the game map was anime canon, this is how Ash’s journey would look from afar:

  11. Worlds Unite: -Have act two be about gathering the Unified Army. -Put in some exploration of the unified world. A literal mish-mash of Sonic and Mega Man’s worlds and we spend most of the story hovering above it. -Leave out the Deadly Six. -This one may be waaaay too much to ask but: extend it. 12 issues really wasn’t even close to being enough for this thing: it could’ve used a fourth act. Or at the very least scrap the Worlds Unite Battles specials and replace them with something a bit more meaningful.
  12. Now that I’ve seen it properly via the manga, I can confidently say:

Mewtwo’s new armour looks fucking stupid.

  13. Rewatching season 1 of Tuca and Bertie. Two episodes in and I’m already noticing details that I hadn’t before, like:

a throwaway moment turning out to be a direct foreshadowing of Bertie’s childhood trauma.

  14. I just found out about this show

“What do you mean it’s been done?”

  15. Who are the rabbits meant to be reviling in horror at? Sonic in the doorway? Gemerl? Something else? xD
  16. Is nobody going to point out that Chocola’s finally getting his first appearance since Heroes?
  17. Twitter thread about EVOLUTION’s manga adaptation. Friendly reminder that the stuff shown here may not all reflect the actual movie. RIP Minnesota Vikings reference
  18. Reaction: Dreamworks live action remakes

    1. KHCast

Wouldn’t be surprised at this point.

    2. Ferno

the only one I could see working out and potentially being better than the Disney ones is Prince of Egypt due to its story and massive scale

But heck I'd kinda wanna see Road to El Dorado too

Look, the meme's were bad enough for the animated Bee Movie, we don't need more from a live action one.

  19. Spongebob’s renaissance era has some flat out bizarre episodes. Not bad, necessarily, but...Spongebob befriending a giant imaginary hamster?

  20. Ken really needs to stop giving his characters four fingers. There’s a reason they were invented for use on cartoony characters.
  21. Random observation: Chaotix’s office has moved from Westopolis to Seaside City.

  23. In an ideal world, before we got a Johto game I’d rather have a solitary third version update of Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee that improves on everything (add the Kanto Pokemon’s cross-generation evolutions, the Sevii Islands, etc.)

(This version would allow you to manually choose which starter you get)

    1. Ernest the Panda

      Ernest the Panda

Call it something like “Here We Go, Pikachu and Eevee!”

Something that’s a variation of “Let’s Go” at least.

    2. Celestia

Tbh I'm not a fan of the idea of the remakes getting third versions, if anything I wish they'd make just one version with the remakes in the first place, but...yeah, I know that's completely unrealistic.

    3. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

LGP/E are surprisingly great instalments. They could have improved in all the ways that you just mentioned, but it's not necessary. They work as they are. Having two versions of every Pokémon game in this day and age feels like nothing more than a cash-grab relic of the Game Boy days; I'd rather not add a third version of the remakes too.
