  1. Y MEN GREAT TIL DEY GOTTA BE GREAT

  2. Welp, all the stress I've accumulated over the past few weeks, between trying to squeeze in all my work hours around a 3-day trip to St. Louis, having to drive in St. Louis, and the busy season at my other job, has caught up with me. I have a fever. Blech. Apparently stress fevers are a thing. Staying home from work tomorrow to actually recuperate.

      Oof. Hope you feel better.

  3. So weird living in a world where Shadow the Hedgehog is rated E10 and A Hat In Time for Switch is rated T for teen.

    1. SupahBerry

      SupahBerry

The E10 rating's first few years were just as awkward as the PG-13 rating's. The original Indiana Jones were what led to the PG-13's invention back then, when today they'd still obviously be giving an R rating than a PG rating.

Same could be said for ShTH. SEGA outright stated they made last minute changes when they first learned about the E10 in the west, but even after the censorship it's clearly still a T game.

I say a more surprising comparison would be with Hollow Knight. Release only eight months before, still gets an E10.

      PublicEnemy1

You think E10 is bad for Hollow Knight? Try PEGI 7 in Europe, as I detailed in my last rant.

    3. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

Rush Adventure is 12+ in Europe (due to Marine saying "knackered" and "bugger"). Or at least it initially was. Later revisions are only 7+, but I don't know what exactly kit changed to see the rating lowered.

  4. That whole "smacking the sides of your face with your hands to help you focus" thing they do in anime really works.

    1. SupahBerry

      SupahBerry

The "Robotnik Biography" fan video claims that it "brings blood to the mouth." It may be more to describe the strength of the slap, but I see at getting blood flowing in the mouth for production's sake.

    2. Polkadi~☆

      Polkadi~☆

That’s not just in anime, I see all kinds of media do it.

      It’s a universal thing.

    3. PC the Hedgehog

      PC the Hedgehog

@Polkadi~☆ Really? I've legit never seen anyone outside of anime characters do it. Ever.

    4. Polkadi~☆

      Polkadi~☆

The application may be different (for instance, smacking the forehead), but the result is the same.

  5. Cruising down the road on a Sunday afternoon with Crush 40 blaring. I needed a day like this.

  6. "NOW I know who you are! You're that government spy Rouge the Bat, aren't you?"
What was your first clue, Shadow? The fact that her name is Rouge the Bat? Ya nitwit.

    1. Ferno

      Ferno

shadow's been awake in the future for like 2 seconds how did he even know of any well-known people in the present time

writing was all over the place

      The Tenth Doctor

Rouge took spy training from Ada Wong. Rule number 1: Use your real name as an alias.

    4. Wraith

      Wraith

Doesn't the game say that he went out of the way to look her up prior to this scene

    5. Ferno

"i googled you rouge. after 67 pages of questionable material i found out you do spy stuff"

This is actually a translation error situation, but it's still hilarious to poke fun at.

  7. "Well, we're already rushing Sonic 06 to market. Anything else we can do to insult everything that fans love about Sonic?"

"Let's bring Masato Nakamura back and ruin his most successful piece of music with Akon's rapping."

They must be dead by now.

      Destroy what's left of them.

    2. PC the Hedgehog

      PC the Hedgehog

Like, legit, when I heard they were going to bring in the song that served as inspiration for the beautiful ending music for Sonic 2, I was overjoyed. Then the rapping started, and it was like, "Why, Sega? Why do you insist on hurting those who love you?"

    3. Ernest the Panda

      Ernest the Panda

“Also, let’s make the worst fucking port of Sonic 1 ever to exist”

    4. SupahBerry

      SupahBerry

      @Ernest the Panda

What's that? Why make it for the GBA in 2006 and not the DS?

But any GBA game can be highly success late in its lifespan!

      Just ask Mother 3!

  8. Ooh, that's why they call the level Mad Space. Because playing it makes you mad.

  9. Hey Arnold, Legends of the Hidden Temple, All That, and now Rocko...Nick has been totally knocking it out of the park with every single one of their revivals so far.

  10. In the immortal words of almost every NPC in Sonic 06: "Ey."

      Well...how about that.

I guess I need other people to critique me properly.

  12. I'm just saying , notice how we've never seen Tails and Miles Prower in the same room at the same time.

    1. SupahBerry

      SupahBerry

"Look, its a talking fox with two tails!"

"Silence! I am Miles Prower, the greastest scientific genius in the world!"

      "Whatever you say, Tails!"

  13. So Jim Cummings is gonna be the villain trying to take down Sonic in this episode? Dude, there HAS to be a reference to SatAM Robotnik at some point. You have the actor in the recording studio doing a Sonic-based episode of a show that knows Sonic lore backwards and forwards, you HAVE to take advantage of it. Either way, this is gonna be great. I've been grinning like an idiot with every clip I've seen.
  14. With the creativity and craftsmanship of fan levels in Super Mario Maker 1 and 2, where do you think the 2D Mario games can go from here?

    1. PublicEnemy1

      PublicEnemy1

      Hand-drawn, sorta like Rayman Origins/Legends.

Also, a COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE Super Mario Maker, but that's just wishful thinking.

    2. Vertical Snoop [D.K.]

      Vertical Snoop [D.K.]

Expectation: A true modern 2D Mario in the same vein as the Donkey Kong Country Returns games.

Reality: They'll probably just either A) keep rereleasing Mario Maker/NSMBU so they don't have to put effort into 2D Mario's anymore or B) make another NSMB game.

    3. SupahBerry

      SupahBerry

      @Vertical Snoop [D.K.]

      What's the difference, anyway?

  15. I want a Mario game featuring time travel. Oh, and a crazy dystopian city ruled by Bowser Jr. in the future.

Speaking of, would Bowser Jr. look pretty much identical to Bowser grown up?

    1. SupahBerry

      SupahBerry

My idea for a time travel series would be a sequel to Odyssey. Basically be the Mario's Time Machine to that game's Mario is Missing. I'm also inspired by this Paper Mario fan fic.

The first level is prehistoric just like Fossil Falls, but bigger and with more trees, like Steam Gardens. It's there you will meet a green T-Rex, implying that it's the distant ancestor of Yoshi. (I was thinking of have a DK ancestor thrown in too)

Another level will take Mario to the Lighting Kingdom, the heyday of the what would soon become the desolate Crumbleden from the first game. You can hatch a baby lighting breathing dragon and fly it all over the town.

The dystopia ruled by adult Bowser Jr. could possibly be connected to 3ds Neo Bowser City. It features all mechanized enemies in the same design as the Steam Wiggler and Torkdrift, giving the graphics a muddy FPS vibe. Jr. looks like this.

    2. PublicEnemy1

      PublicEnemy1

Mario game featuring Time Travel, you say?

looks at Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time

    3. Menace2Society
    4. SupahBerry

      SupahBerry

      @PublicEnemy1 @Menace2Society

One is a non-Nintendo made educatinal game based on real world history.

The only thing the other game has to do with time travel is Mario Bros. and Bowser meeting their past selves. All the non-Peach Castle levels wouldn't feel any different if they took place in the present, nevermind how we never even see them in the present.

We're talking Super Mario 3 Warped, people.

    5. Menace2Society

      Menace2Society

Both still involve time travel, tho

    6. Crow the BOOLET

      Crow the BOOLET

      Mario's Time Machine IS canon

    7. Teoskaven

      Teoskaven

So basically, you want Mario 06.
