Looks like Sonic Mania is GOTY again lads.

Is that heat wave effect in Lava Reef Act 1 new? If so is it an Encore mode change or part of the 1.04 update?

I really hope Angel Island is a full playable zone but I get the feeling It might just be a short transitional stage for Encore mode.

Looks like I'll be buying this game a 4th time.

I find Forces soundtrack to be entirely forgettable, much like the game itself. The music in the classic stages is just intolerable though and doesn't even suit the theme of the stages, with Death Egg being the worst offender. The only song in the game I actually enjoy listening to is the White Jungle remix, and I can't even give Forces full credit for that one.

Did I miss it or was there not a Metropolis stage for Classic Sonic?

I wouldn't say hyped but I was intending to buy it once it was revealed because I thought it would just be an improved Generations. I think I will just buy Mania again after this stream though.

There are going to be people unironically calling Mania a rehash while claiming Forces is a brand new experience™. You're still going back to Green Hill in this game by like the 20th stage.

Who knew the true ending to Mania was actually the bad ending.
