Yeah pretty much I just feels if everybody is going out of their way to nitpick the hell out of this for one reason or another. I think the game looks great my only problem is Crash's face can look a little bit off and I do wish that the game was a little bit more vibrant than saturated but besides that it's not ruining my experience or anything like that

CrashRatchetFan got a reaction from Dee Dude in What's the best you can expect out of a Crash Bandicoot reboot let alone new game?
I just want to see the meltdowns that occur IF Naughty Dog is developing it. People have this BS theory that if ND made a platform game again it would ruin their reputation of being "Top class storytellers".
If Retro Studios can go from the gritty Metroid games to something lighthearted like Donkey Kong, what's stopping ND from doing the same?

The things is, they can't just go around doing this. They ABSOLUTELY need approval from Activision since they own the IP. Sony owns the distribution rights but Activision OWNS the IP license.
Remember how years back Activision prevented ND from having Crash in the 30th Anniversary contests? Something must have been rectified in the past year.

Hear me out, I NEVER grew up with the shows so I hold no nostalgic value to them. But seeing them now, they both just come off as completely dated (doesn't help for the fact that they shove in a Clinton joke every second) and annoying. The more they tried to recreate what the original Looney Tunes did so well the more they fell flat.

Same for most part. Never really cared for Tiny Toons. The animaniacs TV movie wasn't too bad though.

CrashRatchetFan got a reaction from Milo in Probably in the small, SMALL minority but I believe that Crash has/had a better track
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of this. With this being a Sonic Forum, I'd thought I would get shitted on for my different opinions on such matters ESPECIALLY with Sonic.
@Gabe My thoughts exactly. I believe that Crash has more clout now than he has before because of the series in limbo. With Sony surprising fans with the likes of Shenmue and FF7, people are hungry for Crash to return after nearly a decade of no new games. Sonic nowadays is just a rollercoaster with his reputation and track record.

CrashRatchetFan reacted to Milo in Probably in the small, SMALL minority but I believe that Crash has/had a better track
He has gotten a better track record, I don't even know why that would be considered a minority. Nothing in Crash's series has touched the leagues of Sonic 2006 or Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. The closest thing you can point to is Crash Boom Bang (which was developed by Dimps....go figure) and even then that's a relatively obscure spinoff.
Also, due to better franchise reputation as well as being put to rest for a while, people genuinely want a new Crash game. Everytime a new Crash hint / rumor appears, Crash fans go nuts. Sonic in comparison hasn't had a proper break and for quite a while, and combined with thepolarized / negative reception to the mid-2000s /recent games, people are just sick of Sonic by this point. It doesn't help that so far there's relatively nothing concerning his 25th anniversary known so far, outside of Fire and Ice, some birthday events, and a bunch of Big the Cat memes tied in with cryptic numbers.

CrashRatchetFan reacted to Dr. Crusher in Someone mind giving me a quick recap of who Ken Penders is?
Some guy who used to write for Archie Sonic, was controversial for a number of reasons, is now making his own not-very-good comic using the characters he took with him following his departure from Archie Sonic.
I'm admittedly not the biggest source to go to for this, seeing how I don't really keep 100% track of what Penders gets up to compared to other members here, but I think that's the basic jist.

CrashRatchetFan reacted to The Tenth Doctor in Someone mind giving me a quick recap of who Ken Penders is?
Wrote for the Sonic Archie comics for many years (had bad art skills and bad story writing skills but SEGA didn't look at the comics so he got away with it). When SEGA began to limit his crazy echidna fueled stories, he left. He then thought Sonic Chroncles ripped his Knuckles with wigs characters off so he sued the comcs and SEGA. No one won but he has custody of the crappy characters he made, thus his spin off book "The Lara-Su Chronicles" which he has been writing for way too long to care any more.

CrashRatchetFan reacted to Gregzilla in I'm probably one of the few people who owned a PS1 and didn't play Final Fantasy 7 :V
I played through it recently, on the PS4 port that adds some features like fast forward and turning off random battles.  Basically I really enjoyed the story, characters, music, and world building, but the gameplay was absolutely horrible.  If it weren't for the PS4 version's new features I never would have trudged through it.
I generally just don't like the JRPG genre though.  If you do like JRPGs then I can recommend it for its good qualities.

CrashRatchetFan reacted to JaidynReiman in I don't know about anyone else but do you guys think the NX is too soon? It could be
The big problem with NX isn't so much the possibility of it cutting the Wii U short. The big problem is Nintendo cutting the marketing short. They've always given a significant amount of time for a new console to sink in before just up and releasing it.  And that's after giving out an official announcement of what it is.
When they mentioned a new console was in development last year, they had no intention of even bringing it up. They only did so because they didn't want fans to think Nintendo was abandoning the console market. That and the fact they're waiting until E3 to even talk about the NX would normally indicate the console isn't seeing the light of day until next year at the earliest.

The rumors, on the other hand, mostly indicate a release of this year. Some even as early as June (which is COMPLETELY ridiculous, there's no way in hell its releasing that early). Of course, said rumors first started... just after the first time we even knew the console existed, and not a moment sooner.
The only real rumor to have any possible leeway so far is the one that listed the 2016 3DS lineup in addition to saying Zelda NX in 2016. That one rumor is the first to have any real backing, because they got the Pokemon 2016 code name right and got Disney Art Academy. Of course, its also missing some things as well, so its entirely possible the Zelda NX part is right, but not the part about it being n 2016.

I totally agree on the NX being too soon. Not necessarily for the Wii U being cut short, but because based on everything we know for a fact and Nintendo's usual deal with consoles, the rumors of it releasing this year are just ludicrous if its a home console.
