  1. The Wisps in Sonic Colours were for the most part awesome powerups that added a lot of variety and strategy into the gameplay. It's only in subsequent games where they've been out of place and functionally questionable
  2. let's be honest, Sonic R's OST is incredible

literally everyone. You can pick any random Sonic R review from YouTube and I guarantee they'll roast the soundtrack

I love the Sonic R music. But it's true the music doesn't feel "Sonicy."

The Sonic fandom has criticized the Sonic R soundtrack for over 20 years, though I think the majority of fans have warmed up to it over the years.

Go back to, say, 2001, and defenders of Sonic R's soundtrack were hard to find.

I've always liked the soundtrack, both vocal and instrumental. Much of the time, the songs just hit an accord to me. Some of Richard Jacques best work along with Metropolis Street Racer, that kept a similar vibe and even had a vocal to blooming Green Grove from Sonic 3D. I don't recall people criticising the latter game...

Guess people don't like 90s Brit pop...

  5. haha I'm so screwed for these exams 👌 👌 👌 👌

  6. Think you're a fussy eater? I go to Subway and order toasted chicken tikka subs with absolutely no toppings, salad, cheese or sauces, without shame. Anyone on my level of blandness?

When I order a pub burger, it’s just the burger and the bun without tomatos, lettuce, etc.

Same. Bread and meat is a solid combination as it is, no need to tart it up lmao

I do still add ketchup though.

I love ketchup but even then I only tolerate Heinz.

I order the parmesan bread with lettuce, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and vinegar.

I'm not at all a fussy eater and as someone who used to work at Subway, your order always perplexed me as how it could possibly be enjoyable (isn't it like, super dry!?).  That said, as you can imagine from me saying as such, it was something that people would occasionally order so you're not alone lol.

Anyway, despite not being a fussy eater, unsalted/unseasoned crisps (as in potato chips for any america peeps) are super delicious to me.  I'll buy Salt n' Shake crisps and just throw out the salt sachet.

Incidentally I usually order all salad on my subways coz like... it doesn't cost any extra, get your money's worth and fill up on the parts that are actually good for you lol

P.S. If you do order all salad while both customers and staff alike are encouraged to put lettuce on first it actually makes it easier to close the sandwich if you put lettuce on last coz it kinda holds all the slippy bits (cucumbers, tomatoes etc) in place.

    Your Sonic Desert Island Discs

Surprised at the lack of love for Sonic CD's OST. I'd also bring Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Mania. CD and Unleashed have both energetic and relaxing tracks that make them varied - the past, good future and night tracks are so beautiful. Mania has most of my favourite classic tunes remixed as well as banging new ones.
  8. Whatup Invaders, Chris here wishing you all a Happy Mommy Makeout Day 😍😍😩👌👌

  9. I might be insane but I think Assassin's Creed Unity is one of the best games in the series, only totally upstaged by Black Flag. It's been patched to hell and back and runs downright nicely nowadays as well (PC version ofc.)

What music are you currently listening to?

I forgot how incredible Resi 5's OST was. Definitely my overall favourite in the series for sure. It's bombastic and epic and isn't very unnerving but it's so good.

What game are you currently playing?

Being a bit of a consumerist moron and going against what I previously said I gave in and bought Tropical Freeze. Currently on World 4. As hollow as I feel inside from the initial purchase... god fucking damn this is a brilliant game and I begrudgingly hope it sells really well. Obviously this is how they're getting away with selling it at full price since it's the only way to play it for the many folk who missed out the first time. Market forces are the work of the devil

    The Nintendo Switch Thread

£18 p/a is a good price. Just getting NES games is a mild disappointment, but with online functionality sounds interesting. But for all of it to be truly worth it they better sort their infrastructure out. IDK if it's just Splatoon 2's netcode but like every 1 out of 4 games someone gets dropped. MK8D isn't much better.
