  1. I'm super infrequent here and never get reacts bc I never post or do anything but by chance I logged in today and happened to have gotten three reacts on different posts from months ago from different people in the span of a few hours all at once. I get giddy about little things. but thanks ❤️

Hope people had a good Christmas.

  2. I think I'm in the minority on this but that early Sonic movie concept art looks even worse than the poster. Prefer the ripped arms and legs to those ones. He just looks like an off-brand cuddly toy in the concept art

  3. ok I haven't posted here in a while and I semi-defended the movie here a few months ago and all I've come to say is i'm sorry please forgive me oh god

  4. Jesus how many more trailers does Spider-Man PS4 need?

  5. Don't know whether I'm more excited by REmake 2 or DMCV. Capcom is killing it 💓

    1. Sean

I'm excited for DMC5 but the proof is in the pudding when it comes to DMC for me.

  6. I'm betting it'll be badniks. As said previously, Sonic is short, the production team seem to be Classic Sonic fans, and honestly, though this is slightly cynical, badniks are more marketable and "iconic" than Egg Pawns. Never liked Egg Pawns myself, but remember, Sonic isn't just a series for children - it was loved by kids in the 90s who've grown up. This film has to appeal to those people too - many of whom will have kids. They could very well have both though, ala Forces and Lost World. I think something closer to the Egg Robos than Egg Pawns will show up if that does happen.
  7. who are Koch Media and why are they associated with Team Sonic Racing? All I know is they have a publishing arm called Deep Silver who has published Sega games in certain regions. Are they publishing TSR in Europe or something?

    1. Tracker_TD

Most likely, yeah. AFAIK they handle pretty much all of SEGA's distribution in Europe.

    2. Biggs

Gotcha. Seems like this is a recent thing, just looked up they handled the Switch versions of Forces and Mania Plus too, had no idea.

    3. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

Yep but only the physical version because Sega no longer have the facilities to do something like this and has been around for the past few years. Digital version is still Sega Europe though. Codemasters and Square Enix also use Koch Media for their physical releases too.

Wasn't the first time that Sega used an outside company to publish/distribute their games for Europe. They used Virgin Mastertronic until 1991 for their Master System games (and early Mega Drive games) and at the end of the Dreamcast era they usually used Infogrames or Acclaim to publish their stuff.

  8. good sales = good reception though. Of course they're making Mania the face of their IP, it's the better received game and pushing it instead of Forces is just common business sense.
  9. I just can't get enough of Green Hill Act 2 in Mania. I just can't. It's too good. It's too fucking good.

  10. Because who isn't listening to this right now 💓
  11. Don't you just hate it when you're about to sit down on the toilet but forget the entire seat is up so your ass cheeks kiss the cold, hard edge of the bowl and now you feel humiliated by your own fucking toilet

  12. Love it when I clock out of work at 10:45, belt it over to the nearest petrol station to get some food and a drink, only to find they closed 5 minutes before they should. The lady in there clearly saw me running towards the door but fucking locked it anyway and just went out back. Nope, nothing highly frustrating about that at all. Ah well

    1. Patticus

Get a takeaway. It's the only choice.

  13. Okay this is epic

  14. From what we've heard I reckon Ben will sound kinda similar to Jason. Loved Jason in Unleashed.

  15. I work in a hotel and there was this wake afterparty that stayed up till half 1am and got absolutely wankered. I didn't clock out till gone 2am lmao. What a shift 😂 Got a couple of free pints out of it though! And a lot of hours :D

  16. Never been myself tbh

  17. god I do love Sonic and the Black Knight's whole aesthetic and music and whatnot, and its menus were pretty cool and trippy

    1. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

The music focuses too much on butt-rock, but it's not without some good tunes. I love Shrouded Forest, Misty Lake and Deep Woods.

  18. just remembered Barry Chuckle died and saw this on the Paul Chuckle's Snapchat page and now I'm sad again😢

  19. I must be the only plebian normie loser on this site that isn't excited for Smash

    1. shdowhunt60

No, you're not. I mean, I'll pick it up if I ever end up getting a Switch, but my attitude towards it is, is that Nintendo always has one of these, so why get excited?

That and Nintendo devoting almost their entire E3 show to it kind of soured my attitude towards it.

    2. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

You're not the only one at all.

    3. MegasonicZX

I guess if it helps any i'm sort of just neutral on it. Always been more of a fan of the original 2 than the ones that came afterwards. I am looking forward to this one though since it's taking a lot of good steps in the right direction for me.

    4. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

      Nope, you're not.

Liked the first two but for the rest the Internet is way more hyped up regarding Brawl and 4, well the hype is off putting with Ultimate repeating the hype and the talk for months. Smash 4 bored me after 20 minutes of play each time, I mean its solid enough and can't complain mechanically but didn't have much charm or soul, not even much of an incentive to keep playing.

For Ultimate, wait until it comes out and see if there's any way of trying the game. Too bad rentals and demos aren't much of a thing anymore, plus £50 is too much of a risk to try.

Good to know I'm not alone haha

  20. wtf since when was a PC port of Yakuza 0 announced yet alone released?! Damn it Sega, I just bought a PS4 for some of these games!

    1. Biggs

Turns out it was announced at the PC Gamer's E3 show. Mad at myself for letting this slip under my radar

    2. Polkadi~☆

I remember getting an email from SEGA,

"Remember to pre-order Yakuza 0 on PC for some bonus content!"

and that was the first I ever heard of the port. I then forgot about it, and it showed up on Steam...

This is a big announcement, and it's just sneaking out the door?!

  21. Alex Jones being banned is wholesome and hilarious

    1. shdowhunt60

I disagree, and as much as I dislike Alex Jones I fail to find it hilarious.

It's nice to see a man who has caused so much harm to people's lives starting to get his comeuppance.

I guess he lost the info wars.

    6. Jovahexeon Jax Joranvexeon

      Jovahexeon Jax Joranvexeon

      Who? And banned from what?

    7. Teoskaven
    8. Speederino

The other day I actually saw someone driving around with an Info Wars bumper sticker and lost yet more faith in humanity. This has helped me regain it just a little.

    9. shdowhunt60

Again, why? Why does a bunch of corporations colluding to simultaneously ban someone on almost every single platform seem like a good thing?

Is it because you don't like Alex Jones? Because I don't like Alex Jones. And I still find that to be a scary precedent, because who's next after Alex Jones? Is it gun channels? Because Youtube has been making life hell for gun channels for ages now. Is it someone else who has the wrong opinion?

    10. Teoskaven

...why would you want to make a gun channel on Youtube in the first place?

    11. Badnik Mechanic

Well... If I had to guess... just a guess.

It's probably something to do with the fact he uploads videos of himself harassing the parents of children who were murdered in school shootings.

    12. shdowhunt60

Why wouldn't you? The whole point of social media platforms like Youtube is to be a place of self express.

I'm not sure what rock you've been under, but gun channels have been popular on Youtube for almost a decade.

    13. Badnik Mechanic

      Badnik Mechanic

I bet you really wish you'd looked into this more now eh.

    14. shdowhunt60

      @Mayor D

Citation needed please.Because as far as I'm aware, that was Alex Jones' fans. Not Alex Jones himself. And I'm sorry, but Alex Jones is not responsible for what his viewership does.

And even then, that reason was not what was sited by these companies. The reason why these companies sited to remove Infowars was because of "Hate speech".

Nevermind that you're still ignoring that all these companies decided to ban his accounts all at once.

    15. Teoskaven

No, i mean, what kind of audience goes on Youtube to watch videos about guns? If you're into that in the first place it's most likely you already know places like /k/ wich are more informative and have better images/videos. It's like if someone wanted to go on Youtube to go search for PG13 sex scenes, i just don't see the point of their existance. And considering the potential for abuse, similar to the cases of people making those horrible Spider-Man Elsa videos, i don't see what the loss would be if they were not present.

The harassment of people whose kids have been killed isn't hate speech?

Look mate, I can see where this is going and frankly I've got much better things to do than back this up when a Google search can bring up tons of examples.

Nevermind that you're still ignoring that all these companies decided to ban his accounts all at once

To that I say... so what? It's their platforms they can ban whoever they like if someone breaches their TOS.

    17. shdowhunt60

I don't know I think you're kind of underestimating Youtube's value as an information repository. Like if I really want to get into the historical details of firearms that aren't commonly available, channels like Forgotten Weapons and C&Rsenal are really, really hard to beat.

Boards like /k/ are great and all, but sometimes finding something specific can be a little difficult due to it not being organized all that well. I also disagree that the video or pictures are even all that good, not in my experience anyway.

Anyway, there are limitations when it comes to Youtube, which is why I still go to specific boards like arfcom or something like that, but I still generally prefer Youtube.

      @Mayor D

Don't worry, I have exceedingly little interest in arguing with you either. Don't change, Hogfather.

    18. Badnik Mechanic

      Badnik Mechanic

I find very few people do want to argue with me when I'm right so no loss there.

Just go ahead and Google Alex Jones and YouTube harassment. Bonus results awarded if you include Sandy hook in that.

You'll find tons of examples of his harassment.

  22. Ray is very much a character for repeat playthroughs or higher skill players to me. Hated him at first, love him now. It's true that his gameplay isn't distinct from or more advantageous than the cape feather, but in relation to Tails or Knuckles - who can also reach high parts of levels - he has a few niches such as being able to fly indefinitely if you pull it off right and said flight being able to carry much more momentum and speed. You know how Tails slows down every time you tap the fly button in midair, meaning he only gains speed in midair when he's falling? Ray is much, much faster and can clear further and potentially even higher distances as a result. He may seem slow at first but once you get used to dive bombing as an evasive maneuver to avoid being snagged by the level design, you'll then be rewarded with a crap tonne of speed and uplift. It does require skill and isn't easy to grasp at first but handling Ray right can be a joy. The game's all about maintaining speed and momentum so he's an amazing fit since playing as him makes you interpret those aspects of the game completely differently, beyond just looking cool. Ray has made the game totally refreshing to me.
  23. okay, this is epic

I'm all for teaching the evils of Ronald Reagan over the supposed evils of Vaporwave, sure.
