  3. Jeesh, Resident Evil 5 has aged horrendously. Sheva is more awful than I remember

  4. Being a bit of a consumerist moron and going against what I previously said I gave in and bought Tropical Freeze. Currently on World 4. As hollow as I feel inside from the initial purchase... god fucking damn this is a brilliant game and I begrudgingly hope it sells really well. Obviously this is how they're getting away with selling it at full price since it's the only way to play it for the many folk who missed out the first time. Market forces are the work of the devil
  5. £18 p/a is a good price. Just getting NES games is a mild disappointment, but with online functionality sounds interesting. But for all of it to be truly worth it they better sort their infrastructure out. IDK if it's just Splatoon 2's netcode but like every 1 out of 4 games someone gets dropped. MK8D isn't much better.
  6. Girl next room has bf over. Like when I'm over at gfs we're asleep by like 1 at most. But these guys literally talk all night. Chatting and giggling through dawn, literally all night. And sometimes other shit. Fair to say I'm not a fan of uni hall life ?? two weeks to go thankfully ?

  11. Iizuka on asked about a sequel: "We did all we could for the Mania project"

It's almost as if Sega are actively trying to kill this franchise

    1. Teoskaven

It's most likely a PR response, especially considering Mania Plus has not yet properly released.
Give it a year, you'll see a new game like that.

    2. Blacklightning

An IIZUKA PR response at that. You might as well be asking a monkey's paw because he's notoriously unreliable despite his position.

    3. Bobnik

It's almost as if they just have no future plans for Mania project right now.

It's almost as if Iizuka doesn't want to milk the hell out of "neo-Classic" subseries cuz the same thing is what made the franchise the way it is.

It's almost as if you're overreacting and don't really know how things work in the company.

This is from the same interview where he explicitly said how Mighty and Ray were previously in a state of "we are never ever going to use these characters again" but then went back on it.

He can't say yes there's to be a sequel, he can't say no there won't.  All he can say is things that ARE true, and "We've done everything for Mania" is a correct statement, since there won't be any additional content for that game after Plus.

    6. Biggs

Bit condescending Bobnik. My initial comment was hyperbolic, so I apologise if that upset anyone. So I guess I should have expanded.

I thought his response was very iffy simply because Iizuka's been much more candid in the past, even when it comes to SA3 - at one point he said "if there's demand for it" then it may happen. His response here to a direct question about a sequel to a clearly very successful game is, at best "there's no plans" which is guarded. I don't know about you but it's likely a year since Mania went gold, and it's likely pre-production would be underway be now if it's going to happen. I just feel surely SEGA would at least be more ambigous in response to questions like that, get a bit of hype going, it's just PR common sense. Hearing about what some of you said about his communication skills that does relieve me a bit.

Also @RedFox99 im not demonising Iizuka one bit or endorsing some conspiracy about the Japanese team being salty. Never thought he was a bad guy like a lot of ppl do

    7. E-122-Psi

But apparently we haven't had nearly enough of Colours and Generations rehashes. :P

  12. Resident Evil 6 is so much better than 5 imo. On a Resi binge and honestly this is one of the most mechanically rich action games I've played. It has its problems but I love it.

  13. I always look forward to a DigitalFoundry video by John Linneman. Such a superb content creator

  14. Sonic Adventure 2?

more like Sonic Adventure Poo lol

  15. Honestly I think the most offensive thing about Forces was its nonsensical controls and physics. Level design sucked but actually playing the game feels like a chore. I mean what the fuck happened to the in air control, why does jumping start out floaty and then drop like a rock, why does the homing attack only work when dead in front of something (rendering it almost useless at times), why does Sonic accelerate so weirdly and unpredictably (apparently due to being built of Lost World code that they were too lazy to properly modify), why is Sonic's turning radius wider than a bus and why does he just cancel all momentum if you turn the stick too quickly, why can't I drift to mitigate high speed cornering, why does the air boost do that annoying arch when at the peak of a jump... I could go on.

    1. Bobnik

The air boost I actually like in this game more, cuz it acts as sort of another small jump and it makes you go down a small bit slower. At least I like it more than Generations' air boost tbh.

But yeah, everything else is trash when it comes to controlling the characters in this game.

  16. Sonic Forces is shit dude

I think a more fitting term is mediocre

  17. Decided to play through mania again, absolutely loving it ofc. In Flying Battery 1. Got to this point where I accidentally found some movable spikes, was like "huh". Followed through with that and it dropped me down to a big ring I've never noticed before. My jaw dropped. I then walked out of the ring room and got propelled by one of those dash thingies onto a rotary spinning thing that launched me upside down into a hidden room I had no Idea existed with an extra life in which I was magnetised to the ceiling.

This game is honest to fucking God the best 2d platformer I have ever played.

    1. DanJ86

The movable spikes and big ring were in the original too.

...I understood a few of those words...

With no visual indication of the secret location, I've not the slightest clue what you're talking about :\

    3. Biggs

huh, I never knew that! @DanJ86 Will check it out next time I sit through S3K

  18. Beat Resident Evil Remake. Really enjoyed it. I still do think there are a handful of antiquated design choices here and there which downright hamper the experience and I never found it to be mindblowingly scary as a lot of anti-not-shit-camera-angles fanboys (I KID I KID) laud the game as being but that's not a negative thing at all, I don't want to be constantly having a heart attack - I want to be enjoying myself because... you know, it's a video game. Nor did I find it terribly difficult even on the higher difficulty, ended up with well over 100 handgun bullets and a shit load of healing items in my inventory and constantly around 30 shotgun shells on me throughout. But that's because I played as conservatively as I could and I feel rewarded for doing so. The game definitely shifted my perspective on classic Resi games at least and makes me appreciate them a whole lot more. Very well balanced and crafted and paced throughout.

@goku262002 They're both two of the biggest supermarket chains in the UK. If the merger goes through, that would put them in control of a roughly 30% share of the country's grocery market.

    3. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

In a way hope the merger doesn't happen. I don't want the prices of Sainsburys with the low quality Thai chicken in almost everything and the target market of ASDA. It's a nightmare...

Look Sainsburys you already have Argos, putting up the prices and closing stores. Just don't go full Thanos on the delicate retail market. If done wrong its like the disappearance of Safeway.

@goku262002 Well you probably know ASDA as Walmart as they are owned by the same company, a bit like Lay's to Walkers with terms of potato chips. Except ASDA is more food focused. Sainsburys is a grocery chain, one of the oldest going. They are not the most expensive like Waitrose or M&S (does the US have any department stores that have food sections or its own supermarket?) but certainly not cheap like Aldi, Lidl or even ASDA. Closest would be like Morrisons except higher quality ingredients, pricier fruit/veg and have smaller stores or a larger Co-op. Tesco is the most popular in the country except where I live isn't as popular as the others that I mentioned, a bit weird. For it to have a merger, it must mean Walmart is struggling more than I thought.

    4. goku262002

      @Space☆Yeow - Thanks!

@King Koopone - Alright now you're speaking my language, seeing as I work for Walmart and all. I heard about a UK version of Walmart for awhile but I heard it wasn't doing too well, this solidifies it. I know they exited out of Germany about 10 years ago. sounds like though they will still own at least 42% of the company.

    5. Biggs

It did well initially but in the past 5 years they've slipped behind due to discount grocers and the fact that their strongest areas are in economic dire straits, while Sainsbury's has bounced back and has a strong presence in affluent southern areas

  20. Literally arguing with edgelords in a Facebook group who think mocking a clearly autistic boy is funny and using excuses like "he should get off the internet if he doesn't wanna get bullied".

To be fair, maybe he should. And you could also stop being a fucking cunt while you're at it in the first place. Mindblowing!

    How depressing.

    1. KHCast

Guys like that are assholes that won’t change no matter what you say. They like the attention, and like “edge humor” that offends people. I know a guy like that in real life that thinks as long as he makes it clear he’s joking, it’s okay. I don’t say it to him cause he’s a co-worker, but he’s a privileged asshat that doesn’t get why that shit isn’t okay

    2. DanJ86

As somebody with Apergers, which some consider a high functioning autism. I can't possibly agree that staying off the internet means not being bullied. I didn't have the internet to get bullied with when I was a kid.

So, yeah. They deflect blame from themselves and direct it towards the victim. People like that aren't worth wasting your time on. They clearly have their heads so far up their own asses to hear any common sense you could impart on them. If the masses could learn to boycott the clearly ignorant people like that, maybe they'd eventually workout what a total horrible piece of shit they are. *shrug* (Although I doubt it.)

    3. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

As sad as it seems (and from a bit of personal experience), he'll get bullied no matter whether he's online or outside just because he's different. It might even be worse because he might get seriously hurt with physical violence especially if he lives in a rough area. People don't seem to have much respect or manners these days especially when it comes to people who are outside of "normal society".

Those types of people "the edgelords" (or chavs) have no remorse, they like their sarcastic mean spirited humour and will never change unless something really happens to them and mean really happens to them. Then again it's Facebook so it's probably more common that you get people like that and well get away with it. Also while I do agree with Dan's last point, its the masses who are actually silently agreeing with those types of people...

  21. I wish Sonic Generations had mouse support. It would be so much more natural to map the jump/homing attack and boost to it

  22. c7xgrHs.png

I too want this to sell well but fuck you Nintendo. So many things wrong with this image.

(bitched about this two days in a row now soz)

    1. MegasonicZX

Honestly feel that if the wii U weren't as big of a bust as it was they would be charging less for this since more people would've played it. It doesn't even really have the advantage of sporting any significant changes or additions outside of what is essentially easy mode, heck MK8 at least came packed with all its dlc and had some reworks and additions to make the price justified again so this just seems even more strange.

    2. Strickerx5

The extra 30 pounds is for Funky Kong  :v

tho real talk, and you didn't hear this from me but... full price for a standard 2D platformer nowadays is always a turn off imo. especially one released 4 fucking years ago.

  24. Selling Tropical Freeze on Switch for £50 is some pure scumfuckery if I've ever seen any

    1. MegasonicZX

Yeah, I guess they figure since no one bought these games on Wii U they can just charge the same price and in all honesty Nintendo always sell their games for the launch price long after the initial release (save for like, third party games) so its to be expected at this point.

    2. The Deleter

      The Deleter

Oh no worries, we can just sell our old Wii U copies and make back more than half the price, since Nintendo's major titles never really drop in price muc-

*Tropical Freeze Wii U often sells for under $10 on eBay*

    3. Chili Dawg

      Chili Dawg

It sucks cuz in theory Tropical Freeze is good enough to warrant it but when they didn't even sell it for that much when it was new, that just gets douchey.

    4. MegasonicZX

@The Deleter Legit forgot about the fact that the game is a Nintendo selects game.

    5. The Deleter

      The Deleter

Oh yeah that'd do it wouldn't it
