I too want this to sell well but fuck you Nintendo. So many things wrong with this image.

(bitched about this two days in a row now soz)

Honestly feel that if the wii U weren't as big of a bust as it was they would be charging less for this since more people would've played it. It doesn't even really have the advantage of sporting any significant changes or additions outside of what is essentially easy mode, heck MK8 at least came packed with all its dlc and had some reworks and additions to make the price justified again so this just seems even more strange.

The extra 30 pounds is for Funky Kong  :v

tho real talk, and you didn't hear this from me but... full price for a standard 2D platformer nowadays is always a turn off imo. especially one released 4 fucking years ago.

  3. Selling Tropical Freeze on Switch for £50 is some pure scumfuckery if I've ever seen any

    1. MegasonicZX

      MegasonicZX

Yeah, I guess they figure since no one bought these games on Wii U they can just charge the same price and in all honesty Nintendo always sell their games for the launch price long after the initial release (save for like, third party games) so its to be expected at this point.

    2. The Deleter

      The Deleter

Oh no worries, we can just sell our old Wii U copies and make back more than half the price, since Nintendo's major titles never really drop in price muc-

*Tropical Freeze Wii U often sells for under $10 on eBay*

      HERESY

    3. Chili Dawg

      Chili Dawg

It sucks cuz in theory Tropical Freeze is good enough to warrant it but when they didn't even sell it for that much when it was new, that just gets douchey.

@The Deleter Legit forgot about the fact that the game is a Nintendo selects game.

I remember them doing it during the holidays. It was in its final hours when I was thinking about it and literally snatched that shit up on my phone instantly (I was out in the middle of palm desert at the time) XD. Good stuff.

  5. Sonic Mania sold a million copies? Does anyone think that's... Slightly disappointing? Compared to Gens, Colours and Unleashed anyways

    1. TheSilverFanBoy

      TheSilverFanBoy

I mean it can be disappointing in a business context but Sega is a rather rich company that has other games they make money off of.

    2. Bergamo (Ogilvie)

      Bergamo (Ogilvie)

I wouldn't be surprised if proportionally it has a higher profit margin considering the likely lower production value, though.

    3. Dejimon11

      Dejimon11

Not really. After the last few installments bombed and how this game had a cheaper budget and now SEGA is milking the hell out of Mania I'd say it was a success.

    4. Biggs98

      Biggs98

Not sure about higher profit margin due to the lower budget given it was also only 20 bucks. Then again lots of assets were reused so maybe.

Maybe lower sales can also be attributed to the fact the game was only digital? And maybe the sales figures for unleashed etc. came out after a full year or so on the market. It did say "over" a million as I reread... So it might break 2 million in a few months. Scratch that, it probably will given mania plus

  6. What music are you currently listening to?

Sonic CD on Spotify over and over whenever I need to work
  7. We know spider no pusspuss but does spider have peepee??

  8. Not even subscribed to premydaremy on YouTube but I constantly get notifications from him and he's in my subscription feed. What's the fucking point of subscriptions then?

It's a basic machine learning algorithm, YT will offer you suggestions based on what you watch.

However, if you start to watch more of X, then it will offer you less suggestions for Y until it no longer offers you those.

But subscriptions will always notify you regardless of watch history.

      Real life example.

I started to watch a bunch of Oliver's Movie retrospectives and got a load of suggestions for them... but then I started to watch 'What Culture' and suddenly... no more Oliver.

But... I still always get a notice for Ashens whenever he uploads something.

Same thing happened to me with Cryptozoology news and newsupercris on YouTube, it was suggested or recommended notifications. I just disabled those notifications.

  9. I'm so tempted to get a PS4/Pro. Never thought I'd say that. Has so many exclusives to justify a purchase now I reckon. Gonna start saving!

  10. God the RE1 remake is soooooooooo goooooooood. What a beautifully crafted game. As a modern RE fan who honestly never properly understood the appeal of the classics even after playing them... this game is pure art.

Motion sick? from the camera angle shifts right? That's interesting

  11. What game are you currently playing?

Currently playing the Resident Evil Remake. I don't have much experience with classic RE - I've only invested literally a handful of hours into the PS1 versions RE1 and 2 on our old PS3 and I never got round to beating them. To be honest I didn't find them that fun or scary, though decent - my first RE game was RE4 on the Wii and my next games were RE5, RE6 and RE Revelations after that so I guess they were a bit too different for me. Capcom have a Humble Bundle sale on so I picked up the HD remaster of REmake for Steam as I've been meaning to play it for a while now. So far I really, really like it. I initially played about an hour or two on the "hiking" difficulty, multiple times with some googling on in-game items here and there, which is something I tend to do for a lot of games when I first play them just to experiment, get a good "feel" for it and know what I'm doing. I was unaware of the difficulty settings for the game at first thinking the "hiking" mode was equivalent to normal but it's actually easy mode (which I sussed out after a while given I was loaded with ammo and herbs), so I bumped it up to the higher difficulty. I gotta say it's a beautifully designed game, and a really dynamic one at that, what with certain pathways changing and becoming infested with new creatures, almost like the designers *knew* you were gonna go back with fresh inventory space to pick up those herbs you missed out on the first time - or Wesker restocking the safe room. I particularly like the way zombies in certain rooms will burst out into the hallway if you didn't deal with them the first time. I must say, I'd heard a lot about how this was the scariest RE game and to be honest... I don't find it that bad at all. It's certainly a bit scary, but honestly not as much as 4 and *especially* 7. But that's not a bad thing in any way - in fact it's nice just to play a horror game that isn't ridiculously scary because that's just exhausting and it allows you to appreciate the actual game more, of which I'm really enjoying. No doubt it will pick up a bit later on but I doubt it will be quite as unsettling as 7. It's certainly (and obviously) less of a twitch shooter than 4 onward but it's not devoid of action; there's just more emphasis on being a bit strategical on planning out your routes and clearing rooms optimally before dashing back to put whatever you've acquired into the item box. I absolutely love the defense item mechanic as well which wasn't in the original game, gives you an extra incentive to explore your environment and save ammo. So overall, I'm loving it. If you're more of a modern RE fan like me this is the game to get you into classic RE (along with maybe 7 as well, there are clear design similarities between these games). More excited for the RE2 remake as well now.
