  1. One thing I think Spider 3 did especially well with Venom compared to the solo Venom movie is how the symbiote moves.

It's so... alive and menacing just how it moves compared to the wiggling pile of barf that is in the new film.

Directors tend to forget that uncanny valley is not something you should avoid, but is instead a tool that can be used to invoke discomfort.

That's the difference between the two. One looks weird and out of this world, the other looks like something of our world that is not out of place.

I do like how Raimi's latches onto things and pulls itself along.

Which is an improvement over the comics too which was like in the new movie. Sometimes comic accuracy isn't for the best.

Yeah. It's also why I like the Black Suit in 3 as well. I feel like the comic look for the black suit does not work in the live action world.

It's too... lacking. It works in a comic, but not here.

What they went here fits the medium more.

The Raimi black suit is still a favourite of mine. Heck, once I found out you could wear it in the first Amazing Spider-Man game, I never took it off!

I also kinda liked what the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon did with its version of the black suit; starting off bearing a resemblance to the Raimi version, but eventually transitioning into the classic style by the end.

I always use the Black Suit in Disney Infinity, myself.
