Well, considering how long he waited to act on Sonic Mega Collection Plus, maybe he just hasn't realized it was happening until now?!
I think it would be hilarious if he was mad at Archie for not reprinting his work.
I would be very upset if this has anything to do with anything currently in the comics or Lost Hedgehog Tales, but I personally doubt either one, especially the former since I doubt he even keeps up with the comics, considering his reluctance to read them even while he was a writer. He sure does know how to ruffle people's feathers by being vague, though.
Penders is quite a sad and sorry fellow, really. Whatever meager attention he gets is entirely based on people either getting upset at things he says or laughing at ridiculously bad art and story bits he releases. He desperately wants to be relevant, but he just isn't.

Take a look at HifiHedgehog's comment.  Frankly, his educated guess fits like a glove from what I can tell.  http://www.tssznews.com/2015/11/12/ken-penders-i-will-be-pursuing-further-action-against-archie-for-breach-of-agreement/

Okay, I'm going to lay it down for you; back in December 2011, he announced that the Lara-Su Chronicles would becoming soon in 2012, which was jumping the gun a bit since the trial wasn't really over, and only finished in late 2012. After that he has been unclear as to when exactly it would come out, and earlier this year he insisted that it would be out in time to see a release for Comic-Con. So far, this has not manifested itself, and he is now instead talking about an App, the prototype of which he claims was a big hit, though he hasn't given any info about it or even provided a screenshot.
Earlier this year, he announced a prequel comic called 'The Storm', giving a preview page and then promising that more pages would follow within the month. They did not.
Basically it's all part of the same project, but the Storm was developed after LSC's production began, and thus far any and all announcements he's made regarding their release have not been seen through, and now he is claiming that SOMETHING will be ready during this year's winter period. Given his history, its unlikely that we will be seeing either The Storm or LSC itself released within this time.

Ken Penders: There is no escape. Don't make me destroy you.
    [beat]
Ken Penders:: Lara-su, you do not yet realize your importance. You have only begun to discover your power. Join me, and I will complete your merchandising. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the multiverse.
    Lara-su: I'll never join you!
Ken Penders: If you only knew the power of The Lara-su Chronicles. Ian Flynn never told you what happened to your father.
Lara-su: He told me enough! He told me you killed him!
Ken Penders: No. I am your father.
Lara-su: No. No. That's not true. That's impossible!
Ken Penders: Search the legal settlement, you know it to be true!
    Lara-su: [anguished] No! No!

    I can't wait, personally.

I believe he's calling it a 'sleeper hit' or a 'cult classic' or something now.
And since you so asked, here be a quote to his plea for customers to buy more issues of Knuckles.

Amazing that for a guy who regards himself as a businessman, which is largely concerned with cold hard fact regarding sales and the like, he sure seems to take an overly emotive view of how things are done, casting himself as a hero and his superiors as villains for not going the extra mile to sustain something that wasn't operating within the perimeters they set up.

I might as well say something myself. This place has changed me a lot despite me only being here for 5 and some months. I have to say this is probably one of the most pleasant groups of people on the internet. Everyone here is truly spectacular in their own way. Seriously I can probably say at least 5 or 6 good things about everyone I have talked to here and I think that is very impressive.
I remember my first time coming around here, and it was just by chance I guess. It was a topic about Eggman's eyes.

I spent a few years just lurking around reading topics, and getting a feel for the place. And for some reason I decided to join on Friday, May 8th. I think it was around 5:45 PM or something. I spent the first month just looking at topics and posting in The Green Hill Zone before I became more sociable with people in the status updates and it's all history from there. I wasn't really imagining I would still be here when I first became a member. I thought I would just makes a few topics, talk in some and then disappear after a few weeks, but I stayed (as you can see. ) I guess I have changed in those months a bit.
I'm not the kind of person to make lists of everyone I find awesome, so I will just say thank you to everyone here. Like seriously, from the bottom of my heart, thanks guys.
    Oh, and happy 15th, SSMB.

Welcome to my world. In retrospect, I think I actually liked the ideas more than how they were really depicted, and got so into things because ultimately I was projecting something deeper than was actually supported in the text. I'd always thought the big point of everything was that the Brotherhood and Legion were both screwed up and that it fell upon Knuckles to put an end to the whole feud. Re-reading it though... yeah, that was all in my head, and while basic concepts that Penders introduced might have had potential, he really, really squandered the potential uses of his ideas (and then bitterly resented Flynn for going forward and exploring the ideas he set up rather than just preserving the status quo).
Yeeeah, trust me, you were not missing anything in 25YL. At all. That thing was, if not the absolute nadir of Penders writing and the entire tumorous storyline he'd developed for Knuckles, then at least deserving of the number two spot... it's hard to decide, between that or the last batch of stories he did for Archie before deciding to leave because he couldn't handle actually having to do stuff that the company wanted. That miserable storyline is just one slow, agonizing look at the future of only a few characters really, in which we see their offspring act like spoiled brats and stereotypical teenagers while Sonic engages in a mid-life crisis. Oh and the best part? You wanna know what the big payoff would have been? Sonic going back in time, but as a kind of time spectre unable to do anything but observe. I am deadly serious. THAT was where he was going with it.
Looking at his bibliography and reading up his page on the Star Trek wiki, I can verify that he really did just luck out. You look at the various other things he's done, and he hasn't done even a year's worth of work for any of them. His work on The Next Generation was several issues, he bounced around as an inker and colorist (jobs he doesn't deem as neccessary as a writer or artist), and his vaunted 'television work' is similarly limited. While he tries to hype himself as a kind of everyman, and technically he has worked for many companies, the reality is that Sonic (and Knuckles) was the only thing he's ever had a real career in, and that the environment at the time was the only thing that really allowd him to thrive. His Star Trek wiki even mentions that they had to get another artist in due to quality issues and lateness, and while his take on things was that he was fired due to office politics (he got a new editor who 'didn't care for his work'), given how incredibly dishonest he is about his own work ethic and skill, it doesn't take a lot of effort to guess that he just wasn't up to snuff, and it's likely he just didn't really have what it took to last in a *genuine* professional environment.
In a way, I think he kind of got spoiled; so used to getting his way and for his shoddy, sub-part writing and art being 'good enough', that he never really bothered to even try improving. His work after leaving Sonic is pitiful, despite what he likes to claim; storyboarding work for two King of the Hill Episodes and the Bratz Movie, a CGI Cartoon with no information anywhere, and 'The Republic', a TV Movie/Web Series with no info, no reviews, and nothing else but an IMDB page with a suspicious rating score.

I guess you meant "african languages" . In Portuguese there are a single word for both "tongue" and "language", which is "língua", so I see where you are coming from . However in English those are completely different things, "tongue" refers only to the part of the body.

It's a homage. It's okay when he does it. We're just being picky and unfair because we like Sonic and that colors our judgement at all periods of time. We're not capable of thinking out things objectively and putting aside our biases.

That said I've been thinking about how our perceptions of people can change over time. When I was a kid I just knew him as the guy who tended to be behind the stories I disliked and the 'really bad' Knuckles comics. Then when I got older and he left Archie, I thought of him as "that one writer that did a lot of weird shit and didn't seem to have any feel for Sonic. Glad he's gone". Now my opinion of him is "I don't know if I should feel sad for him or angry at him". Time, maturity, and information brings you a lot of places. I've never really been fond of him but to be honest I feel bad for people who liked him and his work only now to despise the man.

Fresh Thread since I've beat the other until it got vague.
To catch everyone up, I accidentally created an OC mother for Tails that's an Immortal (as in from Highlander, this is a crossover so far as it's an AU where Immortals exist in the Sonic-Verse of the games) and I've been developing their relationship and such.
I basically wound going way back and and writing a short one-shot taking place when he was five years old and she finally forced to explain to him what she was. Take not that no prior knowledge is required because I wrote this assuming the read didn't know A THING about Highlander and so there's plenty of subtle info-dumping about immortals in this and the other stories.

I've heard it said that the Sonic series actually sells more than the in-house Archie titles by a significant degree, so it's unlikely Archie would ever allow anything to happen to the Sonic comic. They'd probably drop Archie himself first xD
