    I watched Sonic yesterday,

    It was the most fun I had at the movies in a long time, better than I was expecting for sure.

      Well, any thoughts?

      I think there were some things that were enjoyable enough but I still think the fact I ate about what, 3-4 liters of popcorn during that movie straight tells how not-intense it was... or maybe the other way around, I'm not used to going to the cinema that often, let alone buying that huge amount of pop corn, but there was a student discount and I decided what the heck, let's buy this thing for once in a lifetime... not regretting, but boy, my lips were salty even the next day still.

       

      Also hi there buddy, I'm back from the dead.

      Man, you haven't made it into an obsession 'til you've listened to basically 99.99999% of your music time just the one song... for three months straight.

      Last summer was a thing for me, there was this one anime opening and one listen led to another...

       

      Btw, this is a kickass song. In a good way.

    So, December is upon us, time to say Merry morning, afternoon, and evening, to eat panettone, and for me to regret yet again that it doesn't snow around here, well, with or without snow, Christmas is coming, and a whole new year not long after, and a much better one, God willing.

    I was putting this one aside for a while, trying to figure out how to put it together and the which images to use, now i managed to do it in a satisfactory way at least.

    So, yeah, we are already in November, and i missed October's wallpaper, last month was election month here, and i was mostly focused on politics than anything on my spare time,

    Ok, opinion time SSMB, is Unleashed still the best looking sonic game or not?

      Forces was better on a strictly technical level, but Unleashed had the better art direction and looked better for it overall so it still wins imo.

      If Forces had better art direction and it's cutscenes weren't so weirdly compressed, then maybe that one could have taken it's spot. Oh, and better lighting too. I don't know what was up with the lighting in Forces. And some of the textures in Forces was pretty bad too...

      It's an interesting tie between Unleashed/Generations and the Genesis titles (specifically CD, 3&K, and Mania).

      Former has the best production values, latter I feel has the best art direction. If we could marry the two and get a Genesis Sonic game with today's graphics (preferably a 2D game a la Rayman) it would easily be the best, no question.

      @Ferno Considering Forces' inconsistent use of textures (detailed realistic Generations graphics mixed with simplified stylized Lost World graphics) and a general use of low-quality textures (namely with the cutscenes) I'd say even that advantage is debatable. Unleashed and Generations may be lower tech but both games were smarter and more coherent with how they used their assets.
