  1. Man, it's depressing me how the earlier arcs of Tom King's Batman run had a lot of fun or likeable moments, and at this point, it's divulged into a bunch of drawn out boring crap, or waxing philosophy.

It's one of those things a good adaptation could probably fix down the line but for now I would just tell people to read up to 50 and stop

I'd argue maybe Issue 54/55. I think Cold Days, and that one issue where it shows Bruce raising Dick was all pretty good (ironically, I think the moment where Nightwing got his brains blown out was about the time both Batman and Nightwing's comics went down the toilet).

Its good, but the ending alone makes it a pretty bad place to stop reading because you'll want to know what happens next, so I just said forget it.

That's also true. It's also a shame that there's no real good ending to what comes after that, since it's pretty much straight after where Batman completely self-destructs his life, and his relationships to everyone.

I think the thing that put it in perspective for me was Rules of Engagement, which is the final arc I had to read to catch up, and it had a lot of lighter back and forth with Batman and Catwoman, and especially the stuff with Damian and Nightwing. Then you jump ahead to know where basically everything that made the run good at the beginning just got thrown out the window for no particularly good reason.

  2. I don't know about Kirby, but to my knowledge - outside of Fully Charged, which was a hot garbage fire, Mega Man has never had an romantic interest. Outside of FC, there's been one occasion, which was in the Dreamwave comics, where Rock (named Rocky there) had a crush on a girl called Chelsea, but that only lasted a grand total of four issues, and nothing actually came of it. The only other major, and arguably "good" time it's been done was in Archie Mega Man, where Roll was the one trying to ship others (whilst ignoring Ice Man's own feelings towards her). She tried to hook up Quake Woman with Mega Man. However, since Quake Woman was currently recovering from having her personality wiped, meaning she has to learn emotions all over again, and Rock not really understanding the point of relationships, they just agreed to stay friends. Other than that, the only other relationship off the top of my head explored is it was Vesper Woman teasing Quake Woman over a crush on Proto Man. However, since the same issue was one of the final issues of the series, and Vesper Woman was designed to be an annoying little sister to try jumpstart Quake Woman's emotions again, we don't particularly know one way or the other. So all that to say, Mega Man does not really have this at all? There's three spin offs in the oceans of various Mega Man products that played with it. Fully Charged is shit, Dreamwave died after four issues, and Archie didn't explore it much at all. Kirby, I have no idea. I don't recall anything Kirby related where Kirby fell in love with anything.

  5. There's so much about this I disagree with, but I will not have anyone slander Sonic's good name. For the record... ...Sonic's got a house. Yeah, I agree with Tara on this, I don't mind a romance in the series, per say. Although I'd add that right now, I'd settle for making the stories actually good as opposed to concerning with who's gonna get with who.
  6. Man, this still gives me chills

Oh man this gave me goosebumps. But this is the hypest scene in history. I was estatic.

  7. I can't believe this, Cell is actually gonna hijack Tokyo's big screens to announce the Cell Games themed celebration coming to Dokkan Battle. This is unreal

I'm honestly really glad to see the game grow. Back during the 2nd Annversary I never would have never thought we would get this far.

  8. You know, thinking about it, I'm quite surprised there's yet to be an Ace Attorney trial where Phoenix is the one initially framed for the crime, and has to defend himself in court in order to find the culprit. The series has toyed about with the idea before, on three different occasions off the top of my head - Turnabout Sisters had Redd White accuse Phoenix, but at that point, he'd already concluded his investigation for the day, and was basically prepared for a full defence.

There was Recipe for Turnabout, where Tigre framed Phoenix technically, but instead of for a crime, he posed as him to make Phoenix look incompetent and subject his fall person to a guilty sentence. Finally, we had Phoenix getting disbarred in Apollo Justice for unwittingly giving in false evidence despite not knowing.

But despite all that, we never got a proper trial where it starts with Phoenix being framed, and having to work his way throughout the entire trial to show his innocence. Like, for example, if we had a trial where Phoenix would do the court sections, but would be locked up during the Investigations, meaning someone else like Edgeworth, Maya, or so on would have to handle the investigation portions for him, and exchange the information at a later time right before the trial.

Interestingly enough, something like this was the original idea for Turnabout Sisters, back when Phoenix was a detective instead of an attorney, he would've been framed for Mia's death to begin with and have to prove himself innocent...

Turnabout Trump is the closest we got to that IMO since:

      1. Phoenix is considered to be the culprit from the beggining until the end of the case.

      2. He helps Apollo during the case and is providing most of the evidence.

He is more or less defending himself but he cannot do it without Apollo as he also needs him to "awaken" his power.

I actually forgot about Turnabout Trump. Granted, probably because Phoenix is so heavily out of character in that case, but still.

    3. Ryannumber1gamer

      Ryannumber1gamer

Granted, you could also technically throw in Turnabout Memories, although Mia was the one defending him there, as opposed to a self-defence.

      well...

is not phoenix but Naruhodou should be QUITE the answer to your question.

  9. God, I hate Wendy Oldbag with a passion.

Sure, but she adds something good to the games she appears in.

Knocking Edgeworth down a few pegs?

    3. Ellipsis-Ultima

      Ellipsis-Ultima

Oh I'm not the only one. Her obsession with Edgeworth is kinda creepy.

    4. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

Just generally kinda funny to see her antics. She's fucking awful and totally annoying, but she brings something to all the cases that she's involved in. Although I'm glossing over the Investigations games because I hardly remember them.

  10. After months, I finally went back to finish Big Top Turnabout in the PS4 version of the AA Trilogy. Honestly wasn't as bad playing it on a TV as it was on a handheld/tablet.

Buuut now it's time for one of the best cases, and this'll be the first time I've replayed it since I first finished it on the 3DS port.

I’m convinced the Ace Attorney Trilogy is just going to be one of those games that exists forever and ever simply because it gets ported to damn near every console.

  12. Enter the Florpus was great, really hope we might see a revived Zim series at some point from it.

  13. Time to watch Enter the Florpus!

  14. Apologies for it being a bit late, but it's now officially a wrap on Sonic Musical Spectacular 4. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel this year's celebration video, but the event itself went off without a hitch. First things first, here's the intro made by @Polkadi~☆ Here is some of this year's stats as well - This year was the longest of all years - a ten hour playlist compared to last year's record of 9 and a half hours. 34 members took part in the event this year! 5 new song categories this year Mania, Forces, and TSR tied for most songs individually Smash was the first crossover category to get as many song requests as the newer games So, already the forth year of the event has passed (time certainly flies, right?), and this year was quite a bit different from last year, with the Motobug crew aiming to try change things up a lot more, compared to previous years, not only for the simple convenience of everyone, but to allow a lot more games into the running this time, especially ones with a strong connection to the Sonic series in some way. We were pretty iffy about doing crossover stuff to begin with, wanting to keep it strictly main series, but I think in the end, it all worked out. As for the event so far, we've heard the feedback in regards to how we ran this year's event, which I was pleased to see such a positive reaction to the changes. The two day split for the event in particular was one of the best changes in my opinion, making it easier to run the event, allowing a break between days so it isn't a marathon, and more importantly - allowing us to shift the format of the event by allowing four requests per person, as opposed to the previous years' 3 requests. Plans for another event next year is still pretty uncertain, but we're almost definitely going to keep sticking with this format of splitting the event between two days, and potentially looking into other song categories to add. In general, how things progress from this point onwards for the future of Sonic Musical Spectacular is anyone's guess. All that said, the event itself went absolutely swimmingly, with many members from SSMB tuning in to listen to the music live, talk about random stuff, and throw out some good times the whole day throughout, and in general, provided a very relaxing, and very chill atmosphere, which IMO - is the perfect kind of atmosphere for tuning into a music marathon. Unlike previous years where I usually get pretty wordy with these finale posts, I think this year I'm gonna try to keep it short and sweet, for risk of repeating myself, but as I said before, as the event host for the fourth year running, it really does surprise me just how much the community on SSMB comes together for it. So many people coming together to enjoy an event based around one of the best aspects of this entire series, lending their contribution to the event. From art pieces from @DanJ86 and @blueblur98, to the excellent intro video provided by @Polkadi~☆, to the Motobug team that spent so long helping me prepare the event and host it this year, to all the SSMB members who came along to the event and listened to the music for an hour, a few hours, a day, or even the whole event, and even those who popped in with their contributions in this topic, and gave us some of the best beats that Sonic has to offer. Sonic Musical Spectacular isn't a one-man event, nor is it even really an event that's made by just a small team of people, it's an event that involves many people from this community coming together to throw in their contributions, to have a good time, and to make the event in general a reality, during the good times, and the bad times this series runs into, and personally, I think that's pretty special. In a way, Sonic Musical Spectacular is only so much of a fun event because the SSMB community makes it such a fun event, and for that, I can't thank everybody enough. Massive thanks to the Motobug crew who pulled together to make this happen, a huge thanks to @Strickerx5 for sponsoring the event this year, and of course - a massive thanks to you for contributing and making the event as fun a time as ever. With that said, myself and Strick are currently in the middle of discussing badge distribution, so they should hopefully be with everyone soon enough. Until next year SSMB, stay cool!
