  1. It's been confirmed by Jim Ryan that 99% of the pre-existing PS4 library can be played on PS5

      Enhanced or nah?

To my knowledge, the way it works is that 99% can work on PS5 at launch, no issue, while Sony are slowly gonna be going back and updating older titles to use the new boost mode.

So I think what it means is 99% of games can be played via BC normally on PS5 at launch, while the top 100 most played PS4 games will have boost mode support at launch.

Like you can actually put in a PS4 disc and play?

Yeah. It downloads the PS4 game to your PS5 (as confirmed by the existance of the PS Plus Collection).

So it's basically like Xbox One, when you put in a BC disc, it'll download and install, and then requires the disc to be inserted to play from then on.

How about if I have a PS4 game downloaded to my PS4 account right now. If I get a PS5 would I be able to download that from my library to my PS5? So I can bring Sonic Mania and Jurassic World Evolution with me when I eventually upgrade.

Yes. It basically just works like how the PSP BC worked on PS Vita. If you've got any PS4 games tied to your account, you'll be able to redownload them on PS5.
