I agree it's why the ahoge point was kind of a meh one for me. Just a pattern I pointed out. The ones I had issues with were definitely story related. While me and my brother like V3, after playing DR1, we were kind of disappointed how close the storyline was to the first one. We had already watched the anime beforehand, but had no idea exactly how close it was till we played the game. I was even stunned that Kokichi acted almost similarly to Byakuya with some personality differences. The only plot twists that really shocked me were the ones concerning chapter 1 and a certain character that died in chapter 5. You never expect that plot twist since it plays with your expectations. As for the certain character, they experienced something that was never done in Danganronpa before. It made me sad, but imagine how much the impact would have been lost had that storyline already been used in the series. It would feel like you're only going through the motions.
Though on a side note, while my brother and I enjoyed the chapter 1 plot twist, at the same time we wished it didn't happen. Would have helped to make the game more different and interesting at least.

Well I didn't hate V3, but even I have to admit it didn't catch me off guard much. Really there was only two plot twists that caught me off guard and the were the ones in Chapter 1 and of course the reason for a certain character dying. Those things had never been done before. But other than that, there's been a very noticeable pattern among the games.
The main character always has an ahoge, the first execution always drags the murderer away with a chain, there's always a family motive, there's always two murders in the third chapter, a certain type of character always dies in chapter 4, there's always a Ultimate ?????, the character mostly seems like a murderer kills someone, and there's always a huge plot twist for the sake of it.
I don't mind the second and third thing I listed. The chain has practically became tradition and naturally family would be one of the first things that come to mind as a motivation. My real problems lies with the fifth and eighth patterns. Tackling the issue of a certain type of character dying in chapter 4, it becomes way too predictable. My brother was able to easily look at the DR2 cast and figure who would die in Chapter 4 since that character had the traits. Then there's the whole plot twist for the sake of it. There's nothing wrong with plot twists if they're done right. DR1 was very effective since it was the first and UDG shocks you with exactly what the villain was planning. DR2 was still effective with it's plot twist, but not quite as much as the first game. Finally there's V3 with a poorly done plot twist. It honestly didn't seem interesting at all and came off more as confusing. At I comprehend what had happened in the other plot twists; V3 felt like a message lost in confusion. Not to mention it almost copied the first game beat for beat. I think the reason why I don't hate the game is because many of the character interactions. It's why I choose to accept the ending as a lie. Otherwise all those interactions are wasted and I don't want that.

I don't mind the ahoge or the dragged murderer traditions, because they're trademarks of the series that, and I will emphasize here DO NOT AFFECT THE OVERALL STORY.
The mysteries these games focus on have nothing to do with the main character's design, or how the executions play out. Characters barely mention the method of how a character is executed, after all.
But when your mysteries, the core of the story revolve around the same damn thing over and over, it's not a cheeky tradition, it's a case of staying too close in your comfort zone that it becomes a detriment.

I hadn't thought about it that way. I can understand that feeling. Though I also think he probably was desperately searching for a plot twist. I can see his philosophy of "Taking the viewers on a ride" to be a bit of a double-edged sword. I can understand why our feelings differ on the ending. Then it's definitely true that the reason is simply because, I hadn't been with Danganronpa long enough. In truth I was drawn to the series because I heard how it was similar to Phoenix Wright. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the contrast between the two series.
Though if it does make you feel better...
But like I said, the ending is pretty messy considering I can't even fully wrap my head around it. Even I can wrap my head around DR2's ending. Eh, I definitely think I can pull off the ending theme much better than what the game portrayed. It definitely could have been told better.

Big news everyone. So it turns out the rumors of the Bumblebee movie filming being pushed back to mid-August was false. The movie has started filming right on schedule revealed by actress Hailee Steinfeld who will be playing a tomboy mechanic. The film is a prequel set in the 80's and will delve in Bumblebee's history before Sam. This will be the first film without Michael Bay. Instead the director will Travis Knight, the director of "Kubo and the Two Strings." So for those that didn't like Bay's take, this film may interest you.
The film is reported to have a smaller budget this time around, so that means there won't be that many Autobots and no IMAX computer breaking scenes that cost millions of dollars. The film is set it release in June 2018. Just like for "The Last Knight" I will be reporting the film's movie progress and news that come up over the course of the year.

I saw the movie and frankly I was disappointed with it. *sigh* At least he managed to exceed some of my lowest expectations. I think Peter Cullen might be regretting his decision to ask Michael Bay to stay on for the fifth film, considering it seemed Bay did everything in his power to make Optimus come off as a villain in advertisements. A fact that disturbed many children and is most likely one of the contributors to as why the film is doing so poorly.

In fact filming for the Bumblebee movie got pushed back from mid-July to mid-August. Something tells me that Hasbro is probably noticing the poor sales as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro decides they need a movie reboot and start looking for another company.

Actually there wasn't even that much explosions either. I think most of the budget got blown on all those Cybertron shots. He just had to be obsessed with the idea of a giant planet destroying the Earth just so he can break the computers again.
He actually admitted that's his goal with each film. Basically to break the computers so it'll encourage IMAX to constantly make them stronger. That's okay I guess but he really shouldn't sacrifice quality just to make a few computers crash.

So we got a new announcement concerning not "The Last Knight" but rather the Bumblebee movie aka Transformers 6. The director for the movie has been announced and nearly everyone is shocked about who is taking on the job.
The director for the Bumblebee movie will be none other than Travis Knight. This director was responsible for directing the animated 2016 hit "Kubo and the Two Strings." He was also an animation director for the movie "Coraline." So with Michael Bay not at the helm for this film and instead a director who has most experience in children's animation films, be prepared to notice a very obvious shift in tone for the Bumblebee movie. Also by picking a director that mostly has experience in animated films, this might indicate that there will indeed be a large amount of focus on Bumblebee which is good.

Okay sorry for the double post so quickly but some unexpected news actually just dropped. So apparently due to the extended version getting leaked early, Paramount surprised fans by revealing the Mini Dinobots. Basically a few months back, Mini Dinobots which are essential Baby Dinobots were revealed for the film. So yeah, Grimlock is gonna be a Daddy in this film. (So they better not kill him off!) But it's not only Grimlock who'll be a parent, Strafe which is basically the movie version of Swoop and Slug is revealed to have their own Dinobots. As to how the Mini Dinobots even appeared... I'd rather not touch that subject. But anyway here they are.

So does everyone remember this little guy that practically everyone hated and I said that it looked like his eyes could stare stright into my soul?

Yeah Squeeks, the little robot that we assumed would be the annoying kid appeal robot that would contribute nothing to the plot and would only serve as the comic relief. Well... that didn't turn out to be the case. So Hasbro will be revealing their TLK toyline tomorrow and because of this, Yahoo got an exclusive sneak peek at the RC Squeeks toy. At first it seemed like the generic kid appeal with it's whole dance function... but then you learn that is only one function. His other is actually Combat Mode. I am not making this up. Squeeks is equipped with a large blaster that's almost twice his size and his eyes turn red. He's a freaking death machine! In a way he's kind of like the movie version of Fixit from Robots in Disguise 2015 due to the fact he has a similar premise, kid appeal character that's capable of being an overpowered death machine.

You know this makes the fact I found Squeeks eyes frightening in the first place even more frightening. Anyway you can watch the video in the link below.

So the voting is over and Hasbro as revealed the final contenders for each of the rounds along with a Wild Card category.
The Winner for Honor Category is Ultra Magnus.

The Winner for the Chaos Category is Optimus Primal. (No Surprise there.)

The Winner for the Order Category is Star Saber.

Finally the character for the Wildcard option is Unknown Evil.

So yeah there's going to be no Megatron Prime.  Honestly I'm shocked, I thought for sure he would make it to the final round since me along with other people were voting for him. But nope he got beaten by Star Saber. Oh well guess I'll start rooting for Optimus Primal now, mainly because I want to see how his name will change upon becoming a Prime. Can't name him Optimus Prime since the name is obviously taken. XD Though in the end, I'll still refer to Rodimus Prime as the best Prime. I just like him too much.
Voting for the final candidates will start on February 1st, remember that the winner will be a huge change for this franchise and will most likely affect future incarnations. So who do you want to become the next Prime?

I might sound like a broken record for saying this but Transformers. Basically the whole franchise in general. I know it may seem odd for me to suddenly become this huge fangirl that constantly geeks out over the franchise these days, but I do so because how the franchise led to a chain reaction that helped me. Some time early this year, I had slipped into deep depression. I was desperately missing my deceased dad who died nine years ago. I was forgetting what he looked like, what he sounded like, and the things we did together; and it was deeply disturbing me. Because of my depression, I ended up waking up early in the morning before dawn. One day I was browsing channels, trying to find something to cheer me up. Then I saw the Transformers was on. I recalled mildly enjoying the movies and a few series and decided to give it a watch.
From the first episode I watched, I felt myself overwhelmed with joy. So I continued watching and watching, episode after episode each day. I starting learning about the characters, laughing at a few moments, humming a few notes from the theme song. The more I did this, the more I noticed that the show made me feel not just any kind of happiness, but I happiness I had with my dad as a child. I admittedly felt like my dad was alive again and enjoying the show alongside with me. It was then I decided to embrace that feeling. I began doing researching for stories, watching the many different shows, watching every movie, collecting the figures, and so on.
That's why 2016 is so memorable to me, it's because of how a franchise manage to help me pull myself out of depression. Now I can't wait for 2017 to see the movie and more.
