  1. Switch emulation is here, and I can bet you that Nintendo is not happy.

I think this is the quickest I've seen emulation of a Nintendo console aside from Dolphin. And I can bet you that this is entirely the fault of Nintendo using a cheap off-the-shelf option.

I think it was quite... ehm... predictable.

But this quick? That's honestly a surprise. We still don't have legitimate emulators for either the PS4 or Xbox One.

People keep saying that jail breaking won't be an issue to the general audience.

      To that, I say HO

Hell, we still don’t have reliable emulators for either the PS3 nor 360.

Nintendo fans are scary when it comes to this stuff.

(tho personally if they could hurry on up with the 3DS emulator so that I can play Uprising without the stutters that’d be grand)

Nintendo fell down when they released Wii. And I believe Switch has also quite trivial structure to the PS4 or X1. Or... maybe the guys making emulators are "adapted" to Nintendo consoles.

      On other topic...

06 and Forces had similar start (starting with question to port or to not port to Nintendo console), but... you know how it ended. And both the consoles are successfully emulated after a short period of time.

RPCS3 is getting there, recently there's videos of the Uncharted games and Sonic Unleashed being posted on Youtube running on the system.

I don't know about Xenia though, I think that one's been definitely slowing down.

Sooooooo BotW mods on Switch when?  :3

Probably not till a long while lol.

I don't think the Switch emulators really have any sort of 3D acceleration going on right now, it'll be a couple years till games are really going to be working.

There are two Switch emulators going on at the moment, both trying to 1 up each other in progress. Well Nintendo consoles usually use either off the shelf parts or reusing something that was already used and people seemed more interested emulating them than the others. Except the N64 where that one is still not quite right but better than before.

Oh and the fastest Nintendo console to get emulated was the GBA. It was emulated even before it got released. I even remember Day 0 emulation and in the case of Sonic Advance 3 months before release.
