    I love these edits.

Typically I'll get up close and start dropping bombs on his laser launchers to whittle them down, and then switch to using my standard shot on the bottom few (though they can be hit with bombs using the right momentum).

This is just reminding me how badly I need my Pi4 case to arrive so I can finish this new Retropie build. Persona 2 is a game I've been dying to get to.

Mighty and Ray alone make it easily worth the $5 imo.

If you want more playable characters and harder special stages then yeah. Ray's the second most fun character to use after Sonic.
It's also necessary for some mods if you're going to look into those.

I never got it cause I didn’t play Mania itself much after completing the game a few runs through. I eventually will get it, but mostly for the multiplayer aspect, as having more local multiplayer games on PS4 is always great for me

Encore Mode is probably the best way to play the game if you haven't for a while and felt you had your fill of the regular mode before (always end up taking the same routes etc).
It also has the perk of a much better checkpoint bonus stage that doesn't feel like a horrendous interruption when you decide to go into it, as well as an extra mini act and an completely new layout for Mirage Saloon Act 1 that all characters share.  I feel like some new areas were added to other acts too for Mighty and Ray to find but can't remember if they were just for Encore or whether they were added to the base game too. Might be wrong on that last one. Also yeah, as mentioned the Special Stages are also completely new tracks for Encore Mode.
The only downside is that the shifted palettes aren't always as appealing as the original looks for the stages, and you can't access Egg Reverie, so it's not the definitive way to play the game.  But definitely worth at least one playthrough.  Personally I also enjoyed it most as a self-imposed challenge where I never allow myself to manually switch characters - just have to adapt to who I'm given.

To me, Encore Mode is more valuable for it's character swap mechanic and life system than the pallette and level design changes.
Mighty and Ray sweeten the deal of course, as does 4 player racing. It's worth $5.

Yeah, once the next Sonic game starts being teased the forum will get busier again as we'll have something to talk about.

@Indigo Rush Sonic Lost World happened in 2013 and the forum was pretty active around that time

It's definitely a lull period. Don't worry too much about it. After 2012 the forums got kinda boring up until Sonic Boom became a thing, then another lull until 2016-17 for obvious reasons.

DiamondX got a reaction from Haalyle in I think the worst thing is I keep confusing PS5 and P5S around all the time.
Don't people just call it DeSu?
I'm not sure how to feel about the not-mainline SMT games having SMT in it. Persona is a spin-off that had Shin Megami Tensei: Persona in the title until 5 but in Japan it was always just Persona (or Megami Ibunroku Persona for the first one).

DiamondX reacted to Blue Blood in When you guys pre-order a game physically, does it usually arrive on the day it launc
It really depends on the country, your region within the country and the retailer and shipping. In mainland UK, games arrive on (or before) launch day around 99% of the time. Retailers always say "pre-order for guaranteed delivery by launch day". I've only ever had one game arrive a day late.

For me it's usually better to not pre order, most shops in my area sell games 3-5 days prior to release. The only exception of that was MediEvil, probably because it released on the same day as the last CoD. Nobody knew it would be coming out, lel.

Yeah I got MK8 Deluxe late too when it came out. Must have been some sort of distribution problem there.

The only two games I've ever pre-ordered were Smash 3DS and the Crash N-Sane Trilogy. Both were through Gamestop, and both times I had to drive to the store and pick it up. Which is a half hour drive and out of state, have I ever mentioned that I live in the middle of nowhere? Don't ever visit southern Illinois, there's nothing here but corn, deer and people who think they're rednecks but really aren't.

I usually get games day one from pre-orders on Amazon but that's most likely only because I have Prime.

Honestly depends on how close you are to a shipment facility as far as Amazon is concerned... for the most part. Usually I get some sort of notification the night before about it being in the facility and then, sometime in the morning, I get an "out for delivery". I imagine that this is less of a norm the farther away you are from one.
So far, I've only had one game arrive late (MK8 Deluxe) which took an extra full 3 days and I still don't know wtf happened there.
Though keep in mind that I still usually buy a game straight from Best Buy nowadays if I'm dying to get my hands on it. Really, ordering online has always been more of a convenience thing for me.
