  1. There isn't a trailer for this (yet), but when it comes out (most likely very soon) this post will be edited to include it. The first two kart racers were...kart racers all right, but I heard the second one was decent. This sounds like a massive step up, though. The inclusion of voice acting, something that was infamously not in the other two, is such a huge thing...which is actually kinda sad.
  2. Review scores are starting to come in. Currently sitting at a Metacritic score of 80 for PS5 based on 15 reviews. PS4 is 70 based on 2 reviews. 90 for PC based on 1 review. No Switch or Xbox reviews yet. TSS review - they gave it 5 red star rings!
  3. https://blog.playstation.com/2022/07/14/introducing-playstation-stars-an-all-new-loyalty-program/ Not entirely sure if this is the correct sub for this, but this sounds like Sony's answer to MyNintendo in a way, while also being it's...semi-own thing? I'll have to check this out when it launches.
  4. We've got our first teaser of the mysterious PS3 title that "you won't believe" which will be making its debut at the VGA's this year, and it looks like it's not that Sony Super Smash Bros game. Don't know what to make of the teaser video myself, but I'm quite curious to see more. The game's website can be found here: http://www.lastofus.com/ There's a 14 second video of an insect on the website. Weird..
  5. By MattMakesGames (Matt Thorson), Studio Miniboss, Infinite Ammo (Alec Holowka), and Power-Up Audio. A one-to-four-player game, very fast paced and best played with controllers, only played locally*! Screenshots: How to play Towerfall: -Shoot arrows at people -Jump on people -Dodge and catch There are also powerups and a one-to-four-player Quest mode where you battle waves of monsters. You can also unlock some new characters (who all play the same) and new towers. This version is a huge step up from the original Ouya version, and absolutely worth the price if you have someone to play against. It doesn't take very long to learn (and even if your skill level is lower that your enemies', you'll still feel satisfied and find ways to success). And yet, the situations and the detail and the way the game builds on basic ideas is INCREDIBLE. It's a simple game, but oh-so-good. I've had uncounted hours of fun playing against family members, and I'm hoping to set up some competition in college if I can get more controllers. I heartily recommend this game to anyone who has either a PS4 or good controllers/gamepads for their computer. (Note: I prefer a Dualshock 3 with SCPServer to get Windows to recognize it) Steam store page! (*In case you're frustrated with the lack of online play, there's a good reason for it that boils down to this: It simply doesn't work because of the latency, and the lag, and any lag compensation would make it worse. This game is very precise and fast-paced and it's very clear where everything is, where as some games may slower-paced or vague on the details to cover up compensation. It's a shame, but that's how it is! Couch play is more fun anyway.)
  6. So, back at January 2014, you might remember PlayStation Now that is announced at the CES which would thankfuly bring back all of the PlayStation 3 games that many of us would miss on the PlayStation 4 and also be able to use on the PS3, along with the PS Vita and in addition to that, Sony Bravia TVs, Smartphones, and Tablets. Now, there's not a lot of games anounced, only The Last of Us, and a few from Naughty Dog, SCE's First-Party Developer. It's not here yet, Its on Closed Beta for now but it'll be released in the Summer of 2014 to North America and all others by around 2015 (starting with Europe). This question would ask... Will there be any Sonic Games to come to the PSNow. The Good news is that Sony's trying to get almost all of the PlayStation 3 game Libary, including games that you can't get on retailers (and on the PlayStation Store) which may include Sonic Unleashed (I don't know if the PS2 version will also be available but we'll see) Sonic 06, and a few others, along with thoes that are in stores right now (and on PSN). Any suggestions on which Sonic Game should be there?
  7. The DualShock 4 sports a new ergonomic design base on previous iterations of the DualShock, so while it does look much like the older models, it will probably feel nicer to play with. It appears to feature a more grippy surface texture, along with redesigned analogue control sticks and triggers. The biggest, most obvious addition is the addition of a Vita-style touch pad in its center, which may allow some Vita games dependent on touch to be ported to the PS4 (though its positioning suggests not, as it might get bloody uncomfortable to use for long periods). There is also a headphone jack on the back, a speaker (or is it a mic?) on the front beneath the touch pad, beside the charge cable input, and a Move-style colored sensor beneath them. A Share button has also been added, which is located up near the D-Pad, to allow players to easily record and distribute their own screenshots and videos of their games. To aid the Move-esque sensor, there is a Kinect-style stereo camera peripheral which will sit below the TV. Third pic down. Discuss?
