  1. Oh, hello there! Didn't expect to see you here! No, sit down, sit down-- you need something to drink? Eat? You sure? Ah, okay, wanna get down to business, eh? I can appreciate that. So, uh, anyway, here's my thread where I will post stuff I make. Whether it be fanfictions I'll probably never finish, silly pictures I rarely make, or shitty videos that feature my disgusting voice Self deprecation aside, here's some links for ya: http://www.fimfiction.net/user/grimchi3f This is for all the fanfictions I've made, all but one of which I've never finished... woo https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRZHYDyq5ugDKcdJrt7jbDA And that's my Youtube channel. I just recently got a capture card, and a microphone, so I'll be uploading videos more often. There's some older stuff on there, and some videos I did for class, but for a newer taste of my channel, here's a video: Hopefully I'll have more to post at a later date. Anyway, enjoy!
  2. Hi SSMB! I am ClassicGamer76 and I am new in the forums. I just wanted you to know that I recently did a remix of "Green Hill Zone" from Sonic the Hedgehog 1. It features elements of both the MegaDrive and Master System/Game Gear versions of the game soundtrack. I'd really like to have your opinion about this piece so feel free to tell me what you think of it Thanks and see you soon in the forums
  3. Here's an interesting one. Shogakukan's Sonic the Hedgehog began life in 1992 in the eponymous magazine, a publication for young students. Written by Kenji Terada and drawn by Sango Norimoto, the manga starred Nicky: a kindhearted, cowardly hedgehog who transformed into the cocky, hot-blooded Sonic a la Jekyll and Hyde to thwart Dr. Eggman's villainous schemes. Though the book focused primarily on Sonic's escapades with sidekick Tails, Nicky had a sizable supporting cast made up of his family members Paulie and Brenda (pop and mom respectively) and little sister Anita, his best buddy Little John, and his girlfriend, the debuting Amy. Other than these facts (along with the additional tidbit of there being six issues, or one for each elementary grade), very little is known about the manga. It has never been reprinted since its publication, and as such only a scant few people have access to any issues. It's another unsolved mystery for fans of Sonic, but what's there provides us with an opportune look into one of the more removed takes on the franchise. Any thoughts or information?
  4. The Sonic series has been rife with intense battles, witty dialog, and compelling plots. But there have also been moments that hit the softer side of our emotional response: Those moments that are simply cute, precious, uplifting, or some combination of the above. Simply, they're those simple moments that made you as a viewer go "Aww..." in response. For me, the absolute top of my list goes to Dr. Eggman at the end of Sonic Adventure 2. "As a child... I looked up to my grandfather for all the great things he accomplished in his life... He was my hero! And I wanted to be a great scientist like him. But... Did he really mean to destroy us?" As simple a scene as this was, it was the first time we saw Eggman express any sort of emotion to the heroes beyond "MWA HA HA! I'LL GET YOU THIS TIME!", and it was really interesting to see Dr. Eggman actually open up to someone emotionally, and to one of his arch-enemies at that. Everything from the music to the uncertain tone of Eggman's voice set the perfect mood for this moment; One really gets the impression that Eggman is having to reevaluate everything he once thought was certain. The "goodness" of his grandfather, the very foundation upon his own inspiration to go into science... He was clearly shocked by the truth. Sure, Eggman's not such a good guy himself, but the scene certainly indicated that perhaps he respected and admired Gerald's good intentions for the world until this point. Tails's response seems almost too simple here, perhaps, but Eggman's equally brief "You're right" actually sets the perfect mood to this scene. In the end, it doesn't matter what Gerald did; Eggman, along with the others, just saved the world. And it was time to look forward to the future, not to dwell on his grandfather's past. Also, the visual image of a young Ivo looking up to and imitating the then-living Professor Gerald is kind of adorable. Anyway, now it's your turn! Post your favorite heartwarming moments from the games, cartoons, comics, or anything else Sonic-related that you can think of! Share with us, will you?
