According to TSSZ (with another "a friend of a friend" type source), Classic Sonic will apparently have the Homing Attack ability in the 3DS version. Whether or not it's unlockable or available from the get-go, is uncertain. Also, the Homing Attack will not be available for Classic Sonic in the Console version. And Emerald Coast (as in, not Neo Green Hill) and Radical Highway are "confirmed" for the 3DS version.

What's with the bobble-head next to Iizuka?

Also the way he keeps looking about makes him appear really shifty.

EDIT: Radical Highway? That's an interesting choice, considering that Sonic didn't actually traverse that territory himself. It would make sense for Shadow to be a rival here, given it was his level originally. I can't help but feel they could have added something a bit different like Metal Harbour or an Ark level rather than another version of Speed Highway.

He shouldn't say it's confirmed, without it being confirmed lol.

I'd be ok with Radical Higway, though. Although, I'd rather have Metal Harbor.

Agreed, I think it's kinda weird that they chose a Shadow stage from SA2 instead of a Sonic stage. Metal Harbor was one of my favorite stages from SA2... Oh well. I like Radical Highway, so I'm okay with it.

EDIT: But now that I think about it, since the 3DS version seems to have the Classic Metal Sonic Rival fight/race in Casino Night, maybe Shadow's fought in Radical Highway?

Now just Silver fight location. Yes since Metal in 3DS reveal I belive 3DS Rivals are the same as in HD ver.

When was Shadow confirmed? And before you bring up Metal Sonic, we still don't quite know if he's an actuall boss or just there for 2 player mode.

Ok so it seems for the 3DS version we have the following confirmed.

STH - Green Hill

STH2 - Casino Night

S3&K - Mushroom Hil

SA - Emerald Coast

SA2 - Radical Highway

So that just leaves the levels from Sonic Heroes, Sonic Next Gen, Sonic Unleashed, and Sonic Colors. So if I had to take a guess on the rest of the levels I'd say these would be likely.

SH - Grand Metropolis. The reason for this choice is because we don't have a big power plant esque level and it would add some variety.

SNG - Kingdom Valley. My reason for this choice is because this is the only other place besides CC that I can see you racing Silver. (if that's the way the battle goes) Not to mention it's the only other level in SNG that has 4 different music tracks and is also from what I've heard the second most memorable level in the game.

SU - Chun Nan. I really don't have a reason for this choice other then besides Spagonia this level had the best music in SU. So really this is more of an I want it kind of thing rather then a this would be a logical choice kind of thing.

SC - Tropical Resort. This one is actually almost all but confirmed. The reason for this choice is because during what I believe was the japanese SEGA conference they played a few music tracks for Generations and one of them was a TR remix. Now since the confirmed Colors level for the consoles is Planet Wisp my only guess is TR is the 3DS versions level for Colors.

These are just my thoughts on what the remaining levels will be. So what are your guys thoughts?

Sonic Heroes is already getting representation through the Special Stages. There's only 7 Zones in the 3DS version, and 5 of them have been revealed. Also, it's been said that there might be some handheld representation, so there might be a Rush/Rush Adventure stage.

Only 2 levels are left for the 3DS version, since it only is confirmed to have 7 levels. Plus, Heroes is getting represented through the special stage. While I think that kinda sucks, my best guess is that the last 2 levels will be Water Palace from Rush (with a Blaze rival battle being there, since the Sonic 2006 and the Silver battle never took place on a Nintendo console and thus ain't that iconic in a collection of Sonic's biggest Nintendo games), and either Night Palace from Secret Rings or Tropical Resort from Sonic Colors. As for the bosses, there's 4 remaining slots after the levels, one's Big Arm and the other is Time Eater. My guess is we'll see the Egg Viper from Sonic Adventure and the F-Zone boss from Sonic Rush, piloted by Eggman Nega.

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think any games that were on 360/PS3 (and maybe even the Wii) will get any representation on the 3DS version. One of the main points of Generations is to re-imagine old levels and make them look prettier, but using levels from 06, Unleashed, and/or Colors would- graphics-wise- be a downgrade on the 3DS. This leads me to believe that the last 2 Zones to represent the "Modern Era" will be from the Rush series. I could be wrong, but it's just a theory.

That's the level select screen for the 3DS version, where you'll select the 7 stages and, presumably, 4 bosses (counting Time Eater and Big Arm)
