On graphic signals

Recommended Posts

Is there any way that letters with graphic signals, i.e. a "U" with umlaut, or currency symbols like the Euro or Dollar (not to mention cyrilic or greek script characters, although those are barely used), can be written without turning into a (question mark)? Sometimes it doesn't happen instantly, only after edits or when someone else quotes it.

I'm only asking because I remember in the old forum it didn't happen, from what I recall. It kinda bugs me, and it prevents people from writing some messages and quoting without getting some messages "bugged". You have my thanks.

Gah, I thought this was a problem with my browser. A couple people told me my posts were looking glitchy a while back, I guess this is why.

I seem to get around it by avoiding the quick edit function at all costs and refraining from using quotation mars (

I see it as nonsense in his original post, but fine in your quoted post. Sometimes they show up weird, sometimes not x.x

Weird thing is that when I filled in my location, it turned out just fine. Wait, let me C/P it...

I've had this issue when coding websites for some people, but I can't remember how I got around it...
