3DS Stages

The lack of love for Levitated Ruins makes me sad. Not only is the stage imaginative (flying manta ray ruins!) but it has one of the few non-vocal tracks in the game, and it is beautiful imo.

Dino Jungle on the other hand is a bad stage with one of the worst tracks in Sonic history (Chronicles excluded).

If there's a Secret Rings stage, it's most likely the last stage in the 3DS version. While Levitated Ruin is an excellent stage, it's just not final level material.

The way this game is combining levels together (based on what you guys have been saying. I'm dodging visual spoilers so havent watched any video's or looked at many screens) it's not impossible that some Levitated Ruins aspects could make it into HD-version Sky Sanctuary. I think a point in the stage where the giant manta fly by and get you from one part of sky sanctuary to the next would be awesome.

Staying on the topic of 3DS version stages, I would be pretty fine with getting a couple of adventure stages on the 3DS version over advance. I can't think of any advance levels which stood out over the similary troped stages in the clasic trilogy.

Apart from Ice Paradise maybe. Ice-cap is great and all but I love the asthetics of Ice Paradise (onoes, City level).

I can honestly say that I would be kind of glad if none of the storybook things made it in. This is just my personal preference, but I never really liked to think of any of the storybook adventures as main cannon, more like an excuse to use a poorly-executed gimmick with the Wii-mote. But yeah, regardless of the fact that I like Majin Buu Erazor Djinn just a liiiiittle bit, I would prefer anything affiliated with him or King Arthur to stay out of my Generations. Again, this is just my personal opinion

ok serioulsy does anyone think that the pic of emerald coast is neo green hill zone?cause my friends thinks it is

Yes, some people "serioulsy" do. By the way, please try to make an attempt at making your sentences a little more readable, not everyone is fluent in English and we should be more curtious to them. But back to the subject at hand.

Honestly, Neo Green Hill was a mix of Green Hill and Emerald Coast, so I see no reason for Neo Green Hill to appear, since we already have Green Hill.

I agree with what SpookyMulder is saying, it's possible Secret Rings could get some representation due to its appearance on Sega's timeline of the "13 biggest main Sonic games". Plus, since Iizuka said that the 3DS is "meant to cover pieces of Sonic's history that didn't make it into the HD version", my guess is we could see Sonic Rush and Secret Rings in it, as they are the only other big titles Sonic Team mentioned that aren't referenced in the HD version. Plus they're some of the biggest Nintendo games, although Sonic Colors was as well.. but hey, it just came out, and perhaps its only reason for being referenced in the HD version was to partially appease people who wanted to see it appear on the 360 and PS3 (although it's a very very shallow way of doing it, given how it's just one level). Anyhow, here's my guess at the stage list:

-Green Hill

-Casino Night

-Mushroom Hill

-Emerald Coast

-Metal Harbor

-Altitude Limit

-Night Palace

(Heroes is represented by the Special Stage)

This would be a list that I'd be pretty happy with myself.

Btw, for people wondering what E3 booth we're talking about, I'm referring to the 13 games that appearing around here:

  • 2 weeks later...

After hearing the tropical resort remix in a recent video, I have a feeling colors will be represented by this stage. So now I'm actually thinking that we won't get a rush stage and that rush will probably get represented with a boss (possibly blaze) I could be wrong though.

Following all of the discussion of a possible Secret Rings stage making it into the 3DS version, I must say I want it to be true so very very much. While Secret Rings wasn't necessarily brilliant all of the time, I adored its atmosphere and some of its stage designs were top-notch - particularly Night Palace, and it would make for excellent final level material. Of course, there's the question of how it would come into the timeline as it technically takes place in a different universe to Sonic's one, but I suppose with reality collapsing it's quite possible, and Night Palace's dimension-hopping sections would suit nicely with the idea that Time Eater is completely screwing everything up. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey an' all that.

Oh, and I want to hear a remixed Unawakening Float. Awww yeah. Heck, throw in an Erazor Djinn boss fight too and I'll love it forever. But I imagine the "modern era" boss fight for 3DS will be Blaze as previously suggested, along with a Rush or a Colours stage before it. Ultimately I'm pleased with the stage list for this version so far and if Night Palace makes it in, consider me one very happy bunny.

Here's a screen shot I just found. I think those dots are meant to indicate stages and there are eleven dots. I think we might be getting more than 7 stages.

I would personally love to see 11 stages, but i agree that it'll only get 7 stages and 3 bosses

Seeing as we know that Big Arms is the Classic Boss, and Blaze potentially is the Modern boss, who will be the Adventure boss? (I'd love to see one of the gizoids, but I highly doubt it at this point. Maybe the Egg Viper, or Egg Emperor)

Hmmm would love if it indeed gets 11 stages, but its prolly 4 bosses... we got big arm confirmed and... metal sonic? dont remember if he was confirmed for 3DS too. Probably Shadow too, since hes pretty much the second most famous character and he would represent well the adventure 2 area. So...any news on Emerald Coast and Radical Highway being the real deal?

I wonder what bosses the 3DS version will use for the Dreamcast and Modern eras. They seem to only be using final bosses (or close to final boss if you don't count Egg Dragoon since he isn't the final final boss) so that gives us the Biolizard, Solaris, Dark Gaia, and Egg Nega Wisp Armor.

Personally I don't care which monster they use since Perfect Chaos (my favorite monster of the week) is already used in the HD version. I hope they use the Nega Wisp boss for Modern Eggman representation though.

Edit: Oh it seems people were having the same thought as me as I was typing this up.

My guess on the last 2 stages? Well, my guess stages from Sonic Rush, Secret Rings, Unleashed, or Colors. I say this because those are all pretty big Nintendo games that appeared around Sega's booth as the 13 big games referenced in the Generations booth. Tropical Resort's been all but confirmed thanks to the remix (*sigh* shitty choice, but whatever), so my guess for the next level is Water Palace from Sonic Rush. Going by the fact that rival battles take place in levels in the 3DS version, and I'm betting Blaze will be a rival in the 3DS version, given how Silver's battle against Sonic in Sonic 2006 never even happened on a Nintendo console, my guess is we could be seeing Water Palace.

Still, the list is so unpredictable that I say anything goes. As for the bosses? My guess is, given how in the HD version, we got Modern Eggman, Classic Eggman, and a mythical creature, we could see Big Arm, Egg Viper, and Erazor Djinn (possibly giving Secret Rings its only representation). Just a thought tongue.png

Now don't ask me why but I have this suspicion that the boss of the Adventure Era will either be Egg Viper, or that Big foot robot.

Normally I'd doubt it as the only time Sonic faced the Biolizard was as Super Sonic in Final Hazard. And as we all know Super Sonic must only be used against the final boss, if you're talking about just the standard Biolizard you could be right. We don't know how the 3DS version is going to handle it bosses.

Well we have perfect chaos in the console version. In sonic adventure sonic faced Chaos in his super form. And a lot of people are puzzled on whether Perfect Chaos will be fought by Normal or Super sonic now.

But if biolizard does end up making the cut, it has a high chance of being the normal version
