Sonic Generations Japanese site UPDATE

Cant help but notice that Time Eater looks quite a bit like Eggman would in FRENZY! mode.

Heh, it would be cool if Eggman was exposed to all that 'Nega-Wisp energy' he was using at the end of Colours and it caused him to turn into this monster. Another generic MotW with zero personality would be pretty lame, especially for the 20th anniversary.

That's not Eggman or Wario, that's a fucking Subspace Monster. Did any of you people SEE that shit that Taboo did to the worlds in SSMB? He captured them, tore them apart, and put little pieces where he wanted to, to piss the player off with the Subspace Maze thing at the end. JUST LIKE THIS TIME

HE SEEKS VENGEANCE

SatAM Robotnik is free from the Special Zone and he's ready to bust heads and take names.

Seriously, that's what it looks like to me. Damn low-rez images.

Seriously? THIS is the Time Eater the game has been building up too? It looks like a face someone carved out of a friggin' JACK-O-LANTERN! XD Hopefully this isn't the entire design of the Time Eater...

EDIT: @newvideo Either classic Sonic has the Homing Attack in 3DS version or someone forgot to turn off the HA indicators.

Wat?

...and all you guys said that Metal Sonic fight JUST couldn't be in Chemical Plant. This goes to show that certain rival battles are gonna take place within certain levels, rather than in their own contained area. Weird, but whatever. Perhaps when Modern Sonic fights the rivals, it'll be in a different location then the one for Classic. Like, in the HD version, what if Modern Sonic fights Metal Sonic in

Sky Sanctuary?

Also, yes, Time Eater DOES look a bit like Eggman in the face. But notice how it just seems to be a big cloud of mist in the shape of a monster.. what if it's what's IN the mist that's the biggest surprise? Whatever it is, it looks like the freaking devil. I'm sure it'll beat out Dark Gaia and Metal Overlord in the creepy monster looks department. But what exactly it is.. I dunno. Anything goes right now. Maybe it's Walrus Eggman from the fake Unleashed ending

Or it could go to show that the 3DS version has multiplayer... or that the 3DS version, due to data constraints (it already has 2 less levels than the home console version) wanted to keep rival battles, but had to compromise in some way to keep them in the game.

The HD version of Sonic Generations has the rival battle with Metal Sonic take place in Stardust Speedway, which will probably be accessed from Chemical Plant, we don't know how bosses will work yet. But there's a difference between a boss taking place in a level (Casino Night) and a boss being accessed from a level and taking place somewhere completely different (Stardust Speedway from Chemical Plant..)

The new 3DS footage also shows Classic Sonic using a homing attack. Sure they've been talking about customizable skills since they began talking about Generations, but that doesn't distance my point that not everything will be as it was, but it doesn't mean that other things will be. I seriously have no idea why people are still insistent that the Stardust Speedway race takes place at Chemical Plant, having SEEN the photos. The fact that they have a dark sky and were announced the same day means nothing. And the fact that you're using the handheld version of a game, with no context, as credence towards you being right... no.

Chill bro doubt SEGA is going to remove that anytime soon its apart of the site after all. as long as it didn't leak anything or wasn't spelled right they have no reason to touch the site again until the next reveal.

It's not the multiplayer. Look at where Metal Sonic is: he's floating in the space next to Classic Sonic, just like in the HD version of the fight.

You might have a point there, but I still say it takes place in Chemical Plant, just with Stardust Speedway elements. I say this just based on what we've seen so far, with the Metal Sonic fight in the 3DS version taking place in Casino Night. Unless that's Stardust Speedway somehow, too.

The 3DS version is not the HD version. It's clearly Stardust Speedway in the HD version. This is clearly Casino Night. Double disappointment on that one, having the same Rivals as the HD version and not even in their correct areas >_>.

Google translating Sonic's profile, I think he's gone bonkers:

Anything goes love, hate is a large curved. There is also a little impatient but I have also had tenderness and some people can not leave trouble alone.

The fastest hedgehog something as jitter can not help anyway.

The mysterious enemy suddenly appeared, should be a fun birthday, the worst day ...?

No need to tell me Google translates funny. It's a joke.

You don't see the difference between something that looks identical to Stardust Speedway and something that looks absolutely nothing like it?

Note my sarcasm. Also, note the numerous Chemical Plant elements IN Stardust Speedway, as well as proof that now, rival battles take place within certain levels. Yes, I agree, it's Stardust Speedway, it has the fucking overhead lights and road trumpets (or whatever the fuck they are), but it's also Chemical Plant. The buildings, skyline, and certain views of inside the level look just like it. AND now we see Metal Sonic racing Sonic in Casino Night for the 3DS version, which is Chemical Plant's replacement for the 3DS. Put 2 and 2 together.

The 3DS has multiplayer races, remember?

The bottom screen even has <Name> vs <Another Name>, so thinking that the picture shows a rival battle is a bit of a jump in logic.
