No more shall I be tormented to use my iPhone as a recording device! No more shall it take forever to get a decent quality, or fail doing so! A joyous day for productivity and music!

Now, when I said it was a Sky Troops arrangement... I lied. c: There is indeed truth that Sky Troops, from Shadow the Hedgehog, is the focus, but there are three other tracks which lie within! And they are...

-Collision Chaos Present JP from Sonic CD;

-Chun-nan Dragon Road Day from Sonic Unleashed;

-I Am (All of Me)/Never Turn Back (whichever, I suppose!) from Shadow the Hedgehog!

Though I've had this song done for the past week or two, I haven't thrown in Chun-nan until just recently!

In any case, don't go too far now, because this won't be the only tune you'll be hearing this week! Hell, with recording being a million times easier, you'll see a LOT more piano...

You know that feeling when you wake up to the first morning of winter? That's what I thought of when I made this. A very nice feeling, I say...

So it was towards the end of the podcast GameFuel's 100th episode, an episode which aired nothing but Ice Cap Zone remixes, and SilverSonic of RadioNintendo then said the following:

"If there's two Sonic songs I would love to hear mashed together in some remix fashion, Ice Cap Zone and 'At Dawn.'"

Sooooooooooo... TADA! What a surprise, huh?

And if you watched straight to the end, then you all likely noticed that clustercoloured poster! This is one of my submissions to the Sonic Paradox Remix Shorts, an upcoming album by the musicians down at Sonic Paradox due out on the 25th of August!

People of all musical talents are welcome! The condition though is that your song (up to 3) has to be between 30sec-2ish minutes in length, and my previous Above the Storm was /really/ pushing that limit, but I guess it got in? Maybe? I think it did...

I suppose I'll try my hand at one more song and see if I can wing it into the album as well... Darkspeeds mentioned the Sonic 3 Data Select theme? I suppose I'll try my hands at that...

In other news, since when is winterstruck a word? Starting now, that's when!

Wowow, Vizard, productivity, eh? Nice stuff done in such a short span. :3 I just got to know that any musician can join in the project from you but I don't think I will anyway (I'd love to but that wouldn't be a very good idea, as I can't pump out any very good stuff right now). I still think that what you said will be wonderful news for many other musicians. I hope people like DJ EAR, Dashy (man, I find it so hard to right Dashy instead of Wolfy), Carbo and all would consider joining it for more musical goodness! :3

[COLLAB] Riptide Resort ~ Paradise Remix

A non-Sonic piece? Blasphemy!

Now this was definitely one rocking collaboration! First one for me too, and holy cow, was it ever fun! LET'S DO IT AGAIN!

As some of you may know, I have a bit of a nasty habit in picking up music by ear and then giving it a whirl on the piano... So, one fateful day, one of my musical pals wanted in on this habit o'mine!

Aptiva and I have done some music together in the past, as we have both poured our resources into what later became The Sonic Stadium Music Album 2011! Recently, however, Apti had heard me play bits and pieces of some of his band's material. He praised me for my tributing, but here's what I didn't expect: he wanted me to collaborate with his group!

Naturally, I reacted how any sensible fellow would react to such a crazy question:

"COUNT ME IN ON THAT SWEET DEAL!"

And so, I, along with other notable talents, trekked out west to the mystical land of Riverside City, Saskatchewan, and a partnership with Freen in Green was born!

This song is a retake of one of my personal favourites from their repertoire, Riptide Resort, from "This Album is Green", and it's been an honour to help breathe new life into this track! This is one of many remasters for their upcoming "Parallel World Remixes" album!

Double update since I forgot to put Havoc Harbor last time. First: the newer song!

Shattered Departure ~ Sonic 2 Bad Ending

Now this is a track that definitely doesn't get enough love in the remixing field. Props to Foreversonic on RadioSEGA for premiering this on his Random Hour show!

Composed by Tomozou Endo for the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the original ending theme plays when Sonic has not collected enough Chaos Emeralds by the game's supposed final zone, Scrambled Egg Zone, and fails to rescue Tails as a result.

What enforces it as the game's "Bad Ending" is the implication that Tails dies. Yes, then-4 year-old Miles Prower dead. Not a happy thought right there...

So, I put together an arrangement of that theme. The name Shattered Departure is inspired by the failed chance to get to the Crystal Egg Zone (the true final zone should all Chaos Emeralds be attained) and save Tails' life from Eggman's grasp. A crystal shattered into shards! As for the word "Departure"... well, take a guess.

Rumbling HWY... for Mission Street (by the brilliant Jun Senoue) from Sonic Adventure 2 has been added to my piano remix as well. Cannot wait for the HD rerelease in October!

Last few notes are inspired by Daniel Ingram's BBBFF (Big Brother Best Friend Forever) from the cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Sorta makes sense seeing that Sonic and Tails are brothers...

Havoc Harbor ~ Metal Harbor

Special thanks to FiG's Aptiva for the mastering, the waves, the seagulls (dunno how he caught those things, and I'm afraid to ask), and the title idea! Havoc Harbor has a nice ring to it!

With Above the Storm and Winterstruck Dawn, this marks my third and final entry to the Sonic Paradox Remix Shorts! And with Riptide Resort ~ Paradise Remix with Freen in Green, that's four songs within the past freaking month! PRODUCTIVITY, YES!

This is also my second four-handed piece, with Checkered Emerald Path ~ Green Hill before it almost one year ago! Gotta make some more!

This time around, to celebrate the upcoming HD rerelease on the digital market, Metal Harbor from Sonic Adventure 2 gets the Vizard treatment! And it's about damn time I've honoured my first Sonic game (and its music)!

And a shout-out to Elson Darkspeeds Wong: You wanted to hear me play the Data Select theme from Sonic 3 & Knuckles? Well HERE'S A LITTLE SOMETHING SOMETHING EXTRA!
