Uh, going by the menu screen we got a little while ago and the fact that there are 8 stages shown on the site, it would make much more sense like this:

7 stages- 1 emerald each

Randomly places rival acts, like in the console version. Metal Sonic is in Casino Night here, remember

Boss acts being treated as separate stages

8th stage is just the special stage

I think he meant HD ver. And actually this s how I see it too!

If that's the case then shouldn't those previewers have had more than two Chaos emeralds. They made it to Seaside Hill and even if Sega has now lumped it in with the Dreamcast Era those guys should've atleast had three due to the second rival battle with Shadow.

Nonononononononono, HD version, bronik. There was an emerald counter on the top right of the hub, and since we know there aren't any Special Stages, it would be likely that you earn them by defeating bosses.

The problem with this is that you're presupposing that you progress in a linear fashion. It's more likely that within an era (ie; Classic) you can complete the 3 levels in any order you choose, but you can't truly progress to the next era (ie; Dreamcast/Adventure) without defeating both bosses (collecting both emeralds?), hence why they have 2 emeralds and are able to make it to Seaside Hill without a 3rd or 4th.

I wonder if having 2 emeralds is important. In Sonic 2006, we learned that you need at least 2 emeralds to travel through time... however this would result with one discrepancy: if you can transport to any time period with just 2, why would you need to collect more to do something you already have the potential to do?

My guess is either because Time Eater messed things up, Classic Sonic's not too good at Chaos Control yet, or it's just a game and I should stop overthinking. tongue.png

Does it suck because it's shadow or does it suck because it looks bad? If you mean the latter then I don't see it...

lol what made you think I'd dislike Shadow's model because it's Shadow tongue.png I like him

It's not that the model is of crappy quality, I just don't like the style. He seems a bit too... cutesy to me. I liked his appearance in SA2 more. But I'm just nitpicking. Don't mind.

Can anyone upload on Youtube a slowed down version of this trailer? I cannot grasp the true awesomeness of the scenery with my turtle eye reflexes.

Download here, and then open it up with your video player and lower the speed. Most video players have support for this very easily and if yours doesn't then you should probably get VLC Media Player. :)

I have VLC and I'd do everything myself if my interent wasn't so freaking slow today. It'd take ages to download that trailer. D: It takes ages already to load it on Youtube on the lowest quality.

But I guess I'm content with just pausing the trailer.

Dont worry! He IS Next. Since Rivals were revealed before their trailer appearance (And he will appear in Modern Era Trailer for sure) We should expect his annoucment soon. Like this or early next week soon.
