I like the Super Sonics only in the Final Boss, that was my minus point of Colours Wii.

This is an awful post and you should feel terrible about it.

Also I was aware of this (asked in a PM) and now I'm no longer in a hurry to get this game...or a 3DS for that matter.

I'm a little dissapointed that Radical Highway Classic is being redone in the same manner as Speed Highway Classic, and I wonder whether or not the Casino Night DLC music is reused for M. Sonic's run.

I'm catching up.

I played rush, but I don't own that game anymore and I can't remember anymore if it looked exactly like that, sorry.

Realy? C'mon people its the days of youtube for Gods Sake:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft2P0Ot6kbQ

Anyway, I'll try to make more (blurry) footage later, showing a few things that have been requested, like the rival battles, the world map and post genesis classic gameplay. I can't tell you for sure though.

Please fix the blur. there must be some light in your room you can angle or some setting you can fix on your camera to make it not soo blurry or use a tripod so your not holding the camera and the 3ds at the same time.

Ugh this is getting annoying can't we just agree to disagree. some here like it, some don't like it. can we atleast agree on that. and not critizes each other for there tastes

lolno. your missing the point that were the sonic fanbase!

Should Dimps up their game for the next release?

Most certainly.

Awww thats cute, he still has hope in DIMPS...

I showed the main menu, the world map, a special stage, classic Radical Highway, Modern Water Palace, Both Tropical Resorts and Metal Sonic. I guess Ill make shorter videos next time so I dont lose that much.

Wait, is it that you uploaded the videos or you recorded them, but then some error happened and they got deleted?

Yup, thats what happened. But I made another recording session with intact footage. I will upload:

-Biolizard

-Tropical Resort, both Sonics

-Classic Radical Highway

-Water Palace, Both Sonics

-Egg Emperor

-Shadow

-Metal Sonic

-Time Eater

-A Special Stage

I'll upload a playlist once the upload is finished. Oh, and th quality is much less blurry this time.

All in the same video, or will each level/boss have its own video dedicated to it? and i'm curious as to how Emerald Coast Classic sounds, is it a Techno remix? is it like SSH Classic?

No, each level will have one video. And classic emerald coast sounds like... It sounds pretty much like the original, but I never turned on the music that loud so I can hear it properly. I'll check later.

Just saw some of the videos. Water Palace looks friggin' sweet and it's amazing how similar Biolizard is to the original. Just replace Shadow with Sonic and add a few new attacks. Still looks awesome, though.

Well, I never said it would be the final recording session. Casino Night was also requested, so I guess I'll make another one, maybe today, maybe tomorrow.

I wanted to wait until all videos I recorded are uploaded and then post the playlist.

Here it is guys, the playlist with all my videos!

Enjoy! (or rage, whatever you wanna do with this game...)

Thanks! Classic Radical Highway looks fun and has lots of paths. Don't like the fact we need those booster things to get around big loops and steep hills, though.

I love the way they used elements from the two different versions of Colours to differentiate Modern and Classic Tropical Resort from each other. I haven't even played Colours DS, and I still grinned when I saw that those yellow tube things with the faces were back.

It's a pity that Classic Tropical Resort's music is virtually identical to the original's, though.

Wow. Honestly, 3DS Time Eater looks more than a bit better than the HD version. Well done, Dimps.

The 3DS Time Eater boss battle is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the console and PC version of it. It's more challenging and has a lot more to do. The console and PC version of the battle just looks plain lazy and rushed in comparison.

From watching a bunch of those videos, I have to say that my view on the 3DS version has changed significantly. I'm enjoying what I see a lot more now. Classic Sonic in particular looks like he's great fun to play.

They did a much better job on the physics. By the looks of it, they actually replicate the classic physics better than the console version does. He can actually independently run loops XD However, so far I think I'm still prefer Classic on the console version. Why you say? Because there were more instances where I felt momentum based gameplay and careful platforming were utilised in the level design. I didn't really see any moments in the 3DS classic Sonic where you could build up speed, do a well timed jump off an incline, position yourself in mid air to properly bounce off some enemies then go on, creating a big shortcut for yourself. Those kinds of moments of satisfaction that you see in both the classics and console Generations. I'm also not a huge fan of the homing attack in Classic gameplay. I know it's entirely optional, but there are sections where I really felt "This kinda defeats the point". Maybe I'm making a premature assumption though, since well, all I've seen is a few gameplay vids and not played it myself.

Modern? Meh, he's Rush Sonic with a lick of paint. I enjoyed the Rush games though (when I was younger), so I'll probably enjoy this to an extent. Though it does seem a little mindless at times (this may be part of the reason why I enjoyed the Rush games when I was younger, but now that I'm older I generally look for a more fulfilling gameplay experience in my Sonic games). There were a lot of instances where it just looked like "Hey, I'm pressing buttons and cool stuff's happening". There's little risk to using stuff like the boost in this, whereas in console Generations it effectively functions as a double edged sword. Though again, my assumptions may be rather premature.

There are two main things that I do prefer about the 3DS version for sure. One is the ranking system. I noticed you frequently got A ranks rather than S ranks, despite doing some very solid runs. This I think is a good thing. You really have to work for your S rank, whereas the console version of Generations basically spoon feeds them to you.

The other thing is the final boss. It is undeniably LEAGUES better in the 3DS version that the HD version. If it weren't for the music being really quite lame, I would say it looks like it would be one of my favourite final bosses. I've always thought the handheld titles had great boss fights.

Actually, it seems like A Ranks are quite easy to get, but S Ranks are really difficult at times. I once beat Tropical Resort without being hit once and ran through the goal at 3:13 with 292 rings and just got an A. Thats what I love about this game, I could spend hours with it because the S-Ranks are so hard.

And I still don't get better than C's in Classic Radical Highway. Ugh.

I saw the videos a while back when you posted a status update. Thanks so much! I've revealed new (voice-related) content from early copies of Free Riders and Colours DS before, so I know how the pressure can feel sometimes. : )

I'm really loving the classic levels and even Casino Night Zone looks nice in motion. Definitely looking forward to this version now!

Water Plalace Modern is practically a carbon copy of the Rush version. Wow. So fucking lazy! Thanks for the videos, Thigolf.
