Or in Sonic 4 Episode I, or the Sonic 1 Master System/Game Gear version, or in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, or Sonic CD... he's not very good at this is he? And he failed to outrun that hand thing that Eggman used on him in the Unleashed opening before he turned into Super Sonic, so that only docks more points

Seriously though, he's plenty fast enough.

Even if Sonic got slower in generations compared to Unleashed, He's still Freaking fast. Plus I think that's a nice speed for Sonic. It's not so fast that you can't catch everything, but not to slow that you get bored.

I think Sonic's speed in Unleashed and Generations was just perfect for that type of gameplay, just as Sonic's speed in Sonic 2 & 3 was perfect for the 2d gameplay.

The modern sonic games are too fast thanks to the boosting gameplay IMO.

I think him wanting no jump button is proof that he may be just trolling...

If he played SUHD he must suck... Because the ONLY way to go slow in that game is to well..... suck. he also sounds like he hates the pitfalls, cause why else would he want to take the jump away? I think I figured it out... it's not that he might want a faster sonic, it's that he wants an EASIER sonic.

He's been fast since 2 years before Unleashed in Secret Rings, when you realize that this game is an on rails platformer on the Wii and see how fast the wind crest makes you, I mean just check out Sonic's shimmying speed! He's super fast with the Wind Crest, but when he activates Speed Break, everything becomes nothing but sparks and blur.

Sonic is certainly fast, especially in Unleashed, through he ain't no Flash or Impulse.

There is a limit to how fast Sonic can be in-game. Much faster than Unleashed and normal humans won't be able to react to what's happening on screen.
