Blaze and Iblis

Okay, hear me out. And don't chew me out. I think maybe the reason Blaze was able to seal off Iblis because maybe she's an incarnate of Elise. Maybe her fire powers comes from Elise's connection with Iblis; a fire demon. It's just a theory.

We could. But I just wondered why nobody ever brought up the idea that it was a gender-specific thing.

Well then, why did the Duke imply anyone born of royal blood regardless of gender can do it?

Elise's connection to Iblis should've been completely severed once Iblis got out of her because the supposed "source" of Blaze's fire powers has been out and about killing humans since like 186 years before Blaze is born.

 

And the whole thing still feels like a way to write Blaze out of the picture because either someone realised "oh shit, we gave her the wrong backstory" and attempted to make it a confusing prequel to Rush (if that's the case, then it's definitely been dropped now) or because there were 9 characters, there were 7 emeralds to get in the Last Story, Sonic was going to die so someone else had to go to make 7, and Blaze just so happened to be that character.
