Why Is Generations Recieving More Hate Than Colors?

I find this ironic because I haven't seen any huge nostalgia fanservice in any Sonic game released after Sonic Adventure 2 and before Generations (Sonic 4 notwithstanding). And Sonic 4 and Generations were both released in two years. I find it a bit funnier considering that Sonic 4 was basically targeted exclusively for the classic crowd (albeit it later catering to all around fans).

Maybe the "nostalgia" comes from the fanbase...I mean you do hear alot of "Repack Sonic 1- SA2" or some variation of it if you look around.

Or maybe thats just me misunderstanding things.
