So Kyle Hebert (new voice of Big) is mentioned in the voice actor credits.

Don't look if you haven't finished the game, as the full cast of characters contains a spoiler.

So logically one would think this means dialogue has been recorded for Big.

And since it's not in the game, would it be unreasonable to assume this could be for upcoming DLC?

Begin speculation!

Could he be a character to rescue in an all new zone? (Hopefully!)

Could the Dreamcast era be getting a fishing minigame like classic's pinball? (Possibly!)

Could it just be a small cameo with very little speech, like in Colours DS? (Unlikely!)

Could the name in the credits be an error? (Doubt it!)

^To add fuel to the whole Big thing, Kyle Hebert also apparently confirmed on his Twitter (according to a post on Retro) than he recorded lines for the game. So either Big is future DLC, or he was in the game at some point and got removed.

Probably for the 3DS version.

I'll vouch that visually and sound-effectually it looks like it's the air boost. But from a meta perspective it really should be the homing attack, since that's the skill that defined the first non-classic appearance of Sonic in Adventure.

Maybe the Air Boost was too hard for him and that developed into the HA until he was strong enough to do the Boost. Seems simple enough.

Running through the game a second time to pick up all the quotes for S-Ranks, Red Star Rings and missions. I'll pop a quote up if it's a particular gem, such as this one if you can get all five Red Star Rings in modern Chemical Plant;

I know they've been hacked out and the whole (I think) list has been put on GameFAQS, but I'd kind of prefer to do it legitimately if I can.

Also, on an unrelated matter, I was a little disappointed that Big, Marine, Jet, Storm and Wave didn't get so much as a look in or even a cameo, especially when we have the likes of Bark, Bean, Fang, Ray and Mighty making cameos, regardless of how minor. I mean, those characters are pretty much dead, buried and forgotten by all but the most die-hard fans, yet the ones I listed are fairly recent and have much more of a presence at the moment (especially Big).

Yeah. I would've liked some reference to Archie, too. Nothing big, but maybe a something like "Acorn Cafe" would've been nice.

I was a little disappointed that S-ranking all the acts, bosses and missions doesn't unlock anything, so it occurred to me that there was one challenge in the game I hadn't completed at all: the Sonic the Hedgehog in-game game. So I played through the whole thing, even got all the Chaos Emeralds for good measure. The game recorded my highest score and game completion time, but still nothing extra unlocked.

So at least now you know you won't get anything for that either. Maybe you have to have S-ranked all the DLC as well. I know it's silly ot keep expecting something, but the developers did go to the trouble of adding sparkles to S-ranked mission gates, so it's not that far-fetched that getting them all a-glowin' would do something.

One screenshot doesn't prove anything. I said I don't trust Iizuka (Also, didn't he just say "Only characters important to the story will appear"?). And I don't think websites are are a great source to be honest.

Well, there are other characters in there. I'd guess they're just posed models, so they're completely separate from the ones used in-game. For example there'll be a model for Model for Modern Sonic that has all the capabilities for animation and two mouths, while the Modern Sonic statue is a different model entirely. That would be the easiest way of doing things, and it isn't at all unreasonable for them add such the model viewer.

It's not in the guide, and the only way to get the legitimately at the moment is to get a promotional code from UK retailer M&S.

Tl;Dr: Tails is very brotherly (as per usual), Amy is obsessed, Knuckles is a fucking jerk who's more into treasure hunting than usual, Cream's dumber than I remember her, Rouge is desperate for the shiny stuff, Blaze is so utterly moe, Charmy is all over the place, and Vector and Espio are unfunny.

I don't see how Knuckles is more of a jerk than usual. And it's nice to see Classic Tails be fanboyish over Sonic, while Modern Tails isn't. All in all, everyone seems pretty in character. Although, I wish Espio was a bit funny. Vector's lines are funny to me :/

I'm gonna go ahead and act like the Crisis City comment is just there as a 4th wall breaking comment.

One thing I find odd is that, in the strategy guide, not only do they acknowledge Chaotix (which I thought had been officially retconned to have never happened now?), but also say that Sonic first met Charmy back during the events of said game.

You know, that game that Sonic only briefly cameod in during the credits.

I'm assuming it's just a mistake on the guide writer's part. Kind of like how it says Cream debuted in Sonic CD.
