Create your own Sonic Amusement Park Attraction/Resort

So I was thinking, what if there was this very huge sonic themed amusement park? Like Disney World Huge? And what attractions would it have?

This is a thread where you can create your own sonic themed attractions and/or parks. I'll start off.

Classic Era Park: A park celebrating where everything began for our true blue hero.

Attractions:

Green Hill Coaster: A roller coaster that takes you through the most famous sonic level of all time at high speed. The biggest loop being the famed shuttle loop.

Against the elements coaster: This is similar to the dueling dragons coaster at Universal Studios. One coaster is Ice Cap themed while the other is lava reef themed.

The tunnel entrance that leads you to the Ice cap coaster looks like the icy caves of the original level. The ice walls have small tv's showing the guests footage of sonics most memorable ice levels as they wait in line for the ride.

The tunnel entrance to the Lava Reef Coaster looks like the volcanic caves of the original level. Just like the ice cap tunnel, the walls will have small tv's only they show footage of some of the most famous fire levels from sonics history as guests wait in line.

Death Egg Theater: It's a big 4-D theater shaped like the Death Egg! The movie shown is a 3-d film showcasing sonics final showdown with eggman on the death egg and in Doomsday zone.

Classic Resorts:

Casino Night Resort: A resort that is based off of Casino Night zone. Golden statues of Sonic and Tails greet guests as they make their way into the lobby. There is an arcade for kids and a night club for adults. Oh and what would a casino themed hotel be without an actual Casino?

Angel Island Resort: A resort based off of Angel island. As guests enter the lobby they will see that it is based off of the inside of hidden palace and you can see life size versions of the hidden palace mural and the master emerald.

Stardust speedway resort: A resort based off of the good future of stardust speedway. Not much to say here.

Go on and create your own. I'll come up with some more of my own later.

Alright, so I'm just tossing one out there.

Aquarium Park:

An aquarium based off Aquarium Park from Sonic Colors. It's in a large, translucent dome, complete with the Bucket 'O Sushi! (will not make you sick)

The Aquarium Park comes complete with PA Announcements from Dr. Eggman! Some days, we may even have Mike Pollock on the PA, Live!

I'd say it'd be cool if they had a rollercoaster that actually broke the record for being the fastest rollercoaster in the world. Only problem would be it's be a bit intense for a sonic ride. An inflatable obstacle course with a green hill theme would be cool as well.

I always imagined

Westopolis

You are in a car, and it begins by falling down a hole, like how Shadow begins. You see Shadow next to you, saying how you should get out now. The car drives forward until Doom's Eye appears saying how you will be crushed. Que Black Bull belching flames. The car wheels away as Sonic attacks Black Bull. More Black Arms creatures attack with Doom screaming for your blood. Shadow arrives and teleports you away (Just hitting you with a flash of light.) Maybe even add a weapon mechanic like the Men in Black ride from Universla Studios and the Buzz Lightyear ride to make it a game with high scores!

I could come up with more, gotta think hard...

I'd call it Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Par- Oh wait.

Seriously, I'd love to see a heavily themed rollercoaster re-creating a famous scene. A really cool idea would be to re-create the Perfect Chaos fight. Make it an indoor water rollercoaster, the car would have a Super Sonic statue at the front in a flying position, the cars themselves would be bright yellow with interlinking graphics that when lined up behind look like the glowing aura trailing behind Sonic. The whole floor would have to be a pool with the track lying on it. You'd have to re-create Station Sqaure somehow to, make ruined buildings along the sides of the pool and dump broken roadways in the pool, get the coaster to go over a few of them to and then splash back into the pool.

I'm not sure how you could create Perfect Chaos....maybe a giant metal anamatronic that has tons of water leaking out of it, flowing all down the anamatronic to give the illusion that it's made of water. Colour the metal in some kind of light blue, watery, chaosy colour. There'd have to be quite a few of them, appearing at different places during the coaster to interact with the car, attacking at certain moments of the track.

It'd be really, really awesome to have the final stretch set out so you turn a corner and start heading straight, going faster and faster. At the end of the straight you can see Chaos waiting for you, crying and lashing his tentacles around. The coaster get's faster and faster and faster as you approach him, once you get close Chaos brings his head down and shoots a water cannon at the car, soaking all the riders, you can enter Chaos and the track shoots upwards suddenly, spinning around as you go up through a hatch in Chao's head, 'defeating' him as you hit his brain. Hell get the whole inside of the anamatronic to spray water at the car as it shoots upwards.

Throw in Open Your Heart pumping out from speakers as well as Perfect Chaos cries and get the cart to blast out recorded lines from Sonic leading you through the ride. The ride would last the length of Open Your Heart and include loops, corkscrews, and etc. For some parts you'd be on the ground going across the water, other parts you'd be up in the air towering above the city.

Yay for stupidly ambitious theme park rides biggrin.png

Dreamcast Era Park: A park that celebrates some of sonics first 3d adventures. As guests enter the park

Attractions:

Speed Highway Rush Hour: A coaster based off of the famed level from sonic's first 3D outing. The coaster cars are shaped like the e-10 cop speeders.

Lost World Rapids: A water ride that is based off of the level from sonic adventure. It's one of those rides where you get in a giant tube and then you ride down a river.

The Wrath of Perfect Chaos: A roller coaster that is based off of Sonic's final battle with Perfect Chaos. It's in a giant dark dome. The ride begins with the coaster climbing up a steep hill, where the riders can look down to see a flooded station square below them. When they get to the top of the hill, they see a glowing animatronic of super sonic greeting them. But they are not alone, because two menacing green eyes will stare at the coaster. The lights in the dome get a little bit brighter to reveal the riders to a life size animatronic of chaos! As the monster roars, a jet of water (resembling his tentacles) hits the top of the hill, the coaster shoots off at 60 mph with the "Open your Heart" remix from Generations playing in the background. After a few twists and turns the coaster stops in the middle of a destroyed building as Perfect Chaos roars again, and then the "Phase 2" music starts playing. After a few more twists and turns, the coaster begins to exit the dome, but before it does, a giant monitor will show Super Sonic landing the final blow on the monster as chaos sinks into the water, defeated. Super sonic then thanks the guests for riding and that he hopes you enjoy the rest of your day at the park. And the coaster finally exits the dome.

Pt 2 to this coming up.

Edit: Damn it somebody beat me to the chaos idea. Oh well.

Vela Nova: There are 2 cars you can choose: Sonic and Blaze. They ride very close together, yet one is faster, and the other does more tricks. After a minute of dancing around each other, they enter a buliding that looks like Dead Line and board a single rail, facing each other. Que

as they slowly begin backing up from each other, and the room dims and the platform raises slightly. Suddenly, both cars light up and SLAM into each other, the passengers instructed that the ride has turned into a jousting game, and are told to press a button in front of them in their car as fast as they can. Whichever ride presses the buttons faster wins. Screaming profanity is encouraged at this point. Edited by Mr.Awesomest

Dreamcast Era Park part 2

Seaside Sumbarines: Based off of the level Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes. It's basically like that submarine ride at Disney Land. Guests hop inside submarines with the sonic heroes logo on it and it takes them through the glorious coral reefs of seaside hill. Where they can see all sorts of wild life from Schools of colorful fish, Sea turtles and manta rays. As the submarines enter the underwater ruins of ocean palace, guests then see Japanese Spider crabs, Hammerhead Sharks, and barracuda.

Ocean Stadium: Based off of ocean palace. Basically a stadium where you can see a bunch of Killer Whales perform tricks. It's Seaworld meets sonic. Go figure.

City Escape Bumper Trucks: Based off of City Escape. It's basically a bumper car ride with the cars shaped like the Gun Truck. Oh and a life size replica Gun truck is parked outside the attraction.

Countdown to Impact: Based off of the final Story of sonic adventure 2. The ride is a bit like that Toy Story Mania ride, with you shooting things on a monitor and you have 3D glasses. The ride starts off with you Helping Shadow fight the biolizard by shooting at it's weak point. After a long and harsh battle, the cart that your on then rolls away from the monitor, while tails instructs guests over the speaker to take their glasses off. And you'll see why, because as soon as your cart is launched outside of the ark into space, you'll be greeted by a life size animatronic of the final hazard! As animatronics of super sonic and super shadow fly around the monster trying to attack. The cart then revolves around the monster so that guests can help the super hedgehogs by shooting at it's weakspot all with Live and Learn playing in the back ground. After a while, the cart will go back into the ark and a monitor will show the cutscene of Super Sonic and Shadow using Chaos Control to stop the arks fall. After that, a cinematic will show Sonic and Shadow reverting back to their normal forms thanking guests for riding and that they hope they enjoy the rest of their day at the park. And once guests get off the ride they can see their high scores on a scoreboard.

Shadow not dying. Problem Adventure Fanboys?

If I ever inherit the Trump fortune for some reason, it will all go into this.

Lovin' your ideas, man. Taking some nice cues from already-existing rides.

I would like to see something in the style of Sweet Mountain. I mean, obviously it couldn't be real food, but it could sell plenty of cool stuff, maybe include a missile-themed roller coaster.

What I'd really like to see is Twinkle Park or Asteroid Coaster get some recognition, as those were actual amusement parks.

And also some arcades with Sonic stuff.

Not really a ride but an after ride thing.

Dreamcast Era Resorts

Emerald Coast Resort: Based off of the iconic sonic adventure level. The resort is located next to a sandy beach where you can see the Seaside hill attraction miles away. If your lucky, you can rest in the Undersea suite, where you can see all sorts of fish swim by in your underwater hotel room.

GUN Fortress Resort: a resort based off of the Gun fortress level from Shadow the Hedgehog. The people who work in the hotel are dressed like the Gun soldiers and they will salute you when you walk into the hotel.

The hotel may seem rough on the outside but the rooms are undeniably luxurious.

Grand Metropolis Resort: A futuristic looking hotel based off of the level from Sonic Heroes.

I'll do the Modern Era when I can think up some good ideas for it. But I'll just get the resorts out of the way.

Night Palace Resort: Based off of the level from Secret Rings. The lobby has an Egyptian feel, with hieroglyphics lining the walls and giant Hourglasses. The rooms really have that Arabian feel and the suite is designed like a sultans bedroom.

Tropical Resort: Based off the level of the same name from Colors.

World Adventure Resort: Based off of all the levels from Unleashed (minus Eggmanland). This resort is in the style of all the worlds countries from unleashed. The style of the rooms depends on the floor your on, for instance, if your on the 3rd floor the rooms will be in the style of chu nan. And if your on the 5th floor the rooms will be in the style of Holoaska. And to add to the diversity, this resort will have employees that come from all parts of the world.

i'd love to see a true Sonic theme park one day!

Boost to Win

A large, high-speed roller coaster with a layout inspired by Sonic Generations' Green Hill Act 2. The occasional platforming segments could be cut in favor of an additional loop or two, maybe a corkscrew. Motobug cut outs line the track and topple over as your cart rushes toward them.

Aquarium Park

A giant Asia-themed aquarium. Perhaps visitors could ride through a section of the park in the submarine from the boss fight. Animatronic Egg Pawns would be a must!

Tidal Tempest: Time Trip

An indoor series of flume rides. Riders would start off in an area based off of Tidal Tempest Past. After lazy minute, they would pass a "Future" signpost and would race down the first hill. At the bottom, they would find themselves in an area based off of TTZ: Present. Things would be a little more faced past here, with the water gaining speed just a bit. Another "Future" sign, and they would fly down a larger hill into an area based off of the bad future. The boats would go through a series of quick, violent rapids as Eggman makes humorous Sonic Colors-style PA announcements. A final, larger hill would send the riders into the good future, where the ride would slow down again, before exiting.

Death Egg:

It would be really awesome to see a Space Mountain-esque ride based on the Death Egg. I don't have any specific ideas on how it could be executed, unfortunately.

World Adventure:

Epcot has the very, very cool World Showcase and seeing a version of it with a Sonic theme would be cool. Visitors could walk through little "villages" based on each of the 9 worlds of Sonic Unleashed.

Unleashed Adventure:

On the subject of Epcot, they've got an awesome ride called Soarin' that simulates the experience of hang gliding over California, by raising them up into a giant IMAX-type screen. It's really impressive and it would be cool to see something similar done with the environments from Sonic Unleashed. SEGA's CGI studio could handle the footage and I'd bet it would look incredible.

Modern Era Attractions

Asteroid Coaster: This pretty much speaks for itself. Lol.

Skies of Kingdom Valley: Based off of the level from sonic 06. It's functions pretty much like the superman ultimate flight coaster in Six Flags over Georgia. The coaster takes guests over the breathtaking sights of kingdom valley at high speeds.

Dinosaur Safari: Based off of Dinosaur Jungle from Secret Rings. Basically similar to the safari thing from Disneys animal kingdom. Dinosaur animatronics everywhere. The only thing is, these dinosaurs actually walk around the place and it actually make you believe they're the real deal. Btw, watch out for a hungry T-Rex or a pissed off herd of triceratops.

Pt 2 coming up.

Ohhh boy, this reminds me deeply of an idea that I had a few years back.

Sonic the Hedgehog: The Experience

Imagine the former Universal Studios Back to the Future ride but with an HD reimagining of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. In 3D.

hell yeah

The entrance to the ride is basically this:

sonic1titlescreen.gif

Where you enter through the ring and a Sonic statue is positioned off to the right.

Inside the main building, you are treated to a waiting area modeled beautifully off of, what else, Green Hill Zone. The walkway is the famous "checkered emerald path" and above speakers play every current official remix of Green Hill Zone chronologically on a loop.

As opposed to one of those generic chrome security spinny things that gives you access to an attraction, you pass an end of the level goal post.

I'll post later about the ride itself.

Before I post anything else, I have to say:

Whichever ride presses the buttons faster wins. Screaming profanity is encouraged at this point.

BEST IDEA

Anyway, gonna toss one idea down now.

SPECIAL STAGE

This attraction would be another roller coaster, only based on the Heroes special stage. The track would be twisting and turning, avoiding spiked balls and running in between colored orbs, with that awesome music blasting. A Chaos Emerald would be in front of you, and there would be certain areas where riders would be prompted to hit buttons to choose their path, either left or right, splitting into different tracks within the same tube area. The ride ends when you catch up the the emerald at the very end.

South Island Rollercoaster.

Basically its a huge roller coaster which will take you through various parts of South Island, it starts off in Green Hill and it's pretty plain for that part, though we do have the iconic loop and S-tunnel there, then we progress into marble zone, where Green Hill starts to take on a more ruined look. You'll end up flying down into the cave, over the pits of lava and even escape the wall of lava. After emerging from the ground you're off into Spring yard, getting knocked left and right by the bumpers, and dodging the spiked balls.level gimmicks, Then the ride will take a sudden dip and dive into the underground labrynth, where you'll have to dip and climb and avoid the rising water. Then you pop out of the ground once more to take a plesent ride through Starlight Zone, and finally you make your way into the Doctor's fortress, dodge the and ram into him piston, to send him flying. The coaster will then fly off of a cliff and land in Green hill where you'll meet Sonic and his animal friends as you thank you for riding

And seeing as none of this is possible irl, I'd expect it to be something like the Simpson's ride at universal, where the cart will act as if it were actually moving along with the video projection in front of you.

ALL MY LIKES, YOURS TO KEEP. Seriously, i love this thread. SSMB community project to build these all over the world, anyone? Money's easy to come by when we boost, and for every 100 rings we get a one up.

I would love if it had an Islands of Adventure type thing where each area was a trope and had some related rides.

The Green Hill Zone would be the first area when you walk in. All the staffers are dressed like badnicks and it's decorated like Green Hill Zone did in Generations. Music from the many iterations of Green Hill Zone including rehash zones like Emerald Hill and Neo Green Hill Zone would play over the loudspeaker. One of the rides would be a basic coaster with a TON of hills. I imagine a Sonic park would have a ton of coasters. The Green Hill coaster would be an old school wooden coaster with a lot of hills and the truss work would look like the wooden platforms in Generations act 1.

Another cool area would be Metal Harbor. All the staffers would be dressed like GUN soldiers and i'm gonna piggyback on the idea of them saluting you when you pass by. Metal Harbor would be the water area and have all sorts of water rides. Rapids ride that goes from the harbor into Green Forest would be one of the main attractions there, alongside a Perfect Chaos ride like the water ride at Universal IoA where you go into the area being taken over by the escaped dinosaurs and you almost get killed at the end but you shoot down right between a T-Rex's legs into a huge plummet. It'd be that bit instead you would be faced with a bunch of tentacles fghting you for most of it and in the end you narrowly avoid his head. And then there's the obligatory wave pool, with a viewscreen of Sonic warning you that it's cold and scary in there and he'll never brave the 2-foot area again. Actually, viewscreens with characters on them talking would be smart, maybe something akin to Harry Potter world all over the park? And the music would be the Metal HArbor music and pother big band tunes from Sonic like Sweet Mountain.

Sunset Park Zone would be the kiddy area with a train ride and stuff. Uh, yeah.

The Space Colony ARK would be the area farthest in the back, and it'd have two coasters. One of which would be a Space Mountain sorta thing where you're outside of the ARK and on a bit of a joyride, while the other one would be inside the ARK and be more of a danger-thrill with all the almost-falling-out-due-to-convenient-holes and Artificial Chaos and whatnot, with your legs hanging. There would also be a VR ride like that epic one at Harry Potter where you go Super and follow Super Sonic and Super Shadow out into space to fight the Biolizard, but only loosley adapted from the game, giving you more time. You would fly around keeping close to Super Sonic and Super Shadow's tails and you would also deliver the final blow to the Biolizard, and then you almost die and actually plummet down into the atmosphere but Super Sonic and Super Shadow save you at the last second. Happy ending!

Food Court Zone. Chilidogs galore.

Tropical Resort would be another area. It would have the largest coaster in the park which would use verticle horsepower instead of gravity for it's initial push-off (HYPER GO-ON ENERGY). There would be live music proformances at this area either doing Sonic music or surf rock and that kind of stuff. It would be directly adjacent to Metal Harbor and one of those surfing rides would be right inside Tropical Resort on the border. As a matter a fact, Tropical Resort would serve as a good hub area for you to be able to get to the other areas- you would have to enter it to get anywhere else. The staffers would be dressed up like Egg Pawns. An Eggman guy would openly parade it and half-greet half-harass the park goers, and he would also be going on the PA like in Colors. It would also have an Elevator ride where you ride it up and then plummet down.
