Well I might as well go all the way and finish what I started, don't worry I'll be gentle with you (maybe).

It was pretty hard to boil them down because I don't want to pick just random songs, but here's some more of my favorites. And I'll probably just stop here because it really is hard to choose.

and Yakitate!! Japan - To All Tha Dreamers: Do I have to explain these? The animation for the latter is fantastic, and I was really disappointed that the official music video doesn't feature this character.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QdtEXexKns: The man, the legend. Classic opening with two legendary female vocalists at the helm, I've been just as much in love with this song as I am with the show and Lina Inverse herself.

Keroro Gunsou - Hello Darwin! ~Koukishin On Demand~: Another Keroro Gunsou song. I've heard JAM Project songs before, but this was what made me adore them. Surprised to see this not get mentioned much.

Some other notable mentions (mainly because I like the songs themselves and not the sequences) include

and Cyborg 009 - genesis of next. Both are awesome and are very gorgeous in different ways. genesis of next is one of my favorite songs of all time, and it had a huge effect in shaping my tastes in music from the moment I first heard it.

Groovin' Magic, as Noir pointed out above is a recent favorite of mine. I heard it a long time ago and liked it a lot, but sort of forgot about it until now. I find it to be damn good and worth a mention.

Slayers theme is awesome!!!!! Lina Inverse is a crazy beast. Dragon Slayer is a killer move.

Got the DVD for Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time today, even though I'd seen it in 3D at a local cinema a couple of months back.

At least I could see it in Japanese this time (amazingly has the Japanese version on there), but oh my god that doesn't stop it from being hilariously bad.

What could have been an interesting concept turns into more than half of the (already short) movie being a duel of ridiculous proportions, so much so that it actually feels outright rigged and scripted. People do ridiculous (and ridiculously complex) amounts in a single turn, and... yeah.

Oh well, I only bought it/ saw it at the cinema for a sort of nostalgic thing, since I watched the Yu-Gi-Oh! dub in my mid teens. laugh.gif I'm clueless about GX and 5D's.

In other anime news, watched the latest Naruto Shippuden DVD set in English yesterday. As a nice surprise, Hidan has an awesome dub voice. ohmy.gif

Sacred Seven. So cliche, it hurts.

Then again, the animation is hella swank(pun intended). Sean hates me for tolerating this baseless plot in favor of good animation.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves that song! It's one of my favorite Keroro openings!

While we're on the subject of favorite openings and endings, Keroro Ending 13 Bokura no Aikotoba is one of my favorite endings from the series. It has that nice "calm" style to it if that's the best way to describe it.

So I finally got off my lazy ass and watched the first two episodes of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica.

The show is good. Also, those Witch fight scenes are TRIPPY.

Watching an episode of Madoka as I write this.

>Dude this opening sequence is trippy.

>The panting makes it sound like I'm watching porn.

>I hope this girl isn't underage because I am definitely looking up her skirt.

>It is like everything Sucker Punch was supposed to be.

>Cute White Rabbit Thing is cute.

>"Become a magical girl" Just say witch bitch.

>If I dreamed of something like that, I would ask if somebody slipped me a roofie.

>>Then again, I have been slipped a roofie before...

>>>Too much info

>First My Little Ponies....

>Hopefully future intros will lack naked underage girls. It is too much a burden on my soul.

>Okay, girls doing makeup. I swear it is like a religion or something. Sure, I understand the need but it is time consuming.

>>Okay, I am ranting again....

>Wait a minute, how is red fancier than yellow? It is not like there are intricate designs that could be visibly seen. Women...

>Sparkles signify that one is beautiful after they just did makeup eventhough they look the same as before

>Cutest baby ever.

>Guys are only good if you confess the letter? Well...food for thought, eh?

>Okay, that is borderline sexual harassment.

>Glass Classrooms? Holy shit that would be awesome.

>Don't date a man who refuses them over easy? Jesus Christ, what is this? "How to make your daughter into a fridging bitch" show?

>What exactly is wrong with men who put ketchup on their eggs?

>Hot new student is hot....I have a thing for dark haired girls...Don't judge me.

>Oh she was the girl from that acid trip dream sequence in the beginning. Interesting...

>Akemi, that bored face expression just turns me on. Keep talking dirty to me as if you are doing chores.

>>Don't judge me.

>Okay, she is creepy too. I am strangely more arroused by this.

>Her name is Homura? Hell, with that dark disposition, I'll call her whatever she wants.

>"Madoka do you value your life to live?" Ogh, she is into BDSM? Hmmm...

>Aw, she is a little cute genius.

>Is enjoying the vault jumping scene

>Holy shit, Magic white rabbit sighting.

>Madoka, you are cute, but telling your friends that you dreamed of a girl just gives lesbian vibes.

>>Not that it is a bad thing.

>>>Don't judge me.

>These skirts are a little too high to be school uniforms.

>What the fuck?

>Holy shit, did this show take shrooms?

>Cocaine is one hell of a drug.

>I am not sure about the chained girl...That is too much fetish.

>Homura may be the bad person, but I still love her.

>Kyubey is adorable.

>Magical girls? And Homura is called a witch? Prejudice assholes. Homura own all your base, you snoody bitches.

Oh, hush, I'll start working on the others.

Start? You do it now. :P

I unfortunately bought 2 of the japanese bluray of Madoka only to find out 2 and a half months later it will be coming to America via Aniplex America either late this year (hopefully) or early next year. But I must say bluray quality does the visuals in this show justice, not to mention they've changed a few things, nothing too drastic though.

I'm done. Episodes 3 and 4 down. (In case you haven't noticed, I usually watch anime in 2-episode bursts.)

I refuse to spoil what happens in 3.

So whilst I've been busy watching animu in my quest to see all the good shit before I die, Amazon UK have had the prices of basically half their anime selection crash through the floor. This seems to have something to do with Manga Entertainment celebrating their 20th anniversary, good for them and good for my wallet too. A 50-episode boxset for £30? Yes please. A 25-episode boxset for £10? Even better.

Chobits, Claymore, Ouran High School Host Club, and Soul Eater are now due in the mail very soon.

Currently though I'm watching Gundam W. (Yeah yeah, 10-15 years late, I know, spare me. :P) Whilst I'm enjoying it - frankly this is required viewing whether I actually like the show or not so tough shit, me - I've noticed that I'm only really enjoying it because it's a superlative AAA franchise show with excellent writing and that apparently I'm not a fan of straight-up mecha shows, as watching the heroes bitchslap each other for funsies and Deus Ex Machina their way through every fight seems to be leaving me cold. I'm surprised, and I'll see how I feel once I've actually watched the entire 50 episode run.

At any rate, today was a nice opportunity to clean up and update my anime buy list seeing as I wasn't going to buy Claymore until I noticed that the whole show was being sold for twelve freaking pounds, so why the hell not? In the near future I'll repost a fresh copy of the list to give you all an update - I've moved several shows into different categories on the list now as I've got a better idea of what I like (I'm apparently a Magical Girl / Romance / Comedy whore, go figure). I've found Ghost in the Shell particularly difficult and tedious to get through, which surprised me especially as I can't for the life of me work out why. I figure the general attitude to robotics in the show really rubs me the wrong way or something. :/

Longer term, I'm going to be picking up Xam'd Lost Memories, FMA: Brotherhood, and naturally The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, the latter being the biggest highlight for me. I actually managed to enjoy Endless Eight, so I'm clearly some kind of madman.

I've heard that Madoka could literally be described as the 2011 answer to Evangelion, but I dunno, I haven't watched it yet and I don't know when I will. All I know is that, it's actually something worth watching.

And the fun begins. :D Episode 10 is awesome too, but honestly I loved the entire series, it sucked having an evening class on Thursdays when the subs came out.

I didn't mind as much, but then I'm crazy.

Also, lighthearted? Have you SEEN the Witches? How can something with Eldritch Abomination bosses be lighthearted?

I thought it was Sailor Moon with scarier villains. I did not expect that kind of shit to happen.

I did not expect a bitch to get her head bitten off when we just met her and then eaten while her the crunching sounds of her body being devoured being audible.

The animation is deceptive. The overall art style is misleading. I was not expecting dark tones from a Magical Girl show that I had no knowledge of. All I knew from the beginning was, "Hey, Magical Girls with overly cute critter companion." Not what Eva was to Mech animes only for Magical Girl shows. I mean fuck.

I marathon-ed to episode 10 and I have to say...

THE DEVIL, ITSELF.
