DAY 6 - Favorite Area from a Video Game

soniccolours-spacezone3de9.jpg

I'd have to say almost every level in Sonic Colors. All of the levels take on epic themes such as a Dessert Planet and an underwater aquarium. The game really pulls you inside and it makes you feel like you're running along with Sonic. The atmosphere is intense in this game and Starlight Carnival was just amazing to look at. Everything popping in at once and flying across the screen is just... WOW.

I know it's a bit of an obscure choice for a favourite stage, (Especially since when most people pick a favourite stage from this series and go for a Wily fortress stage, they usually go with Mega Man 2's), Mega Man 7's first stage in the Wily fortress is one of my favourite stages in any game. The look and the music for the stage really capture the atmosphere that really works well for a Wily fortress stage. The music for this stage really helps make the stage what it is to me. It gives the stage this kind of dark and epic feel to it, and it really helps with the impression that the real fight is beginning here. Even the stage conveys this by starting you off outside and then having you make your way into the fortress. Other touches such as having spotlights around at some point also feel like a neat touch to me, and they help add to the feeling of breaking into the fortress. The boss of the stage is pretty fun as well, it was a neat twist on the old Guts Man fight that kept the feel of the original and added something to it. The stage also managed to use the light and dark stage gimmick pretty well. The stage would remain blacked out and you wouldn't be able to see anything but Mega Man while it was blacked out, the room would light up when you jumped, and there were platforms similar to the ones in Guts Man's stage that would drop you down at some point, albeit not dropping you with Jupiter-esque gravity, which I thought was a pretty clever combination, as it required a bit more memorisation and timing skill to pass.

tumblr_lftxc7gYt91qgvvtno1_500.jpg

Shinshu field is another one of my favourite areas in a game. Like near enough everything in Okami, it's a really pretty environment. This one gets a mention over the other areas in the game though because it feels like the largest of the overworld areas. Well, Ryoshima Coast is probably bigger overall, but a large amount of that is just water. With it being the largest area, it has more areas to explore, and also gives you more area to just run around and take in the sights. It's music is also pretty nice as well, it's pretty memorable and it's upbeat, but not over the top with it.

gfs_22655_2_2.jpg

Near enough anywhere in the first 3 Silent Hill games also deserve a mention, because I think a large part in what gives the Silent Hill games their atmosphere is their locations, and the way that they are laid out. While wandering around the town, the feeling of being alone is really emphasised. There's no one around but the monsters of the town, and even then, they're pretty scarce. The thick fog means you also never know what is ahead of you, you can't actively try to avoid any threats, and you'll never know when and where they'll appear. The lack of any sound until one of the monsters appears also adds to it. As for when you're inside a building, the hallways tend to be very small and don't allow for much movement, meaning that when you encounter a monster, it creates a feeling of being trapped, and you have to face what is before you, even if you know you can't. Just the idea of going into old, run down buildings is also a pretty creepy concept, albeit it is standard fare to horror games.

596px-Skydeck.png

This is probably my favourite Sonic level of all time, and will probably keep that title. There's just so much that goes on in this level which is why I like it so much. Having to run away from giant cannons while they blow away the ground you're walking on still strikes me as a really cool concept, and then getting to blow up one of those cannons with rockets later in the level is pretty satisfying. The section where the wind tries to blow you off the stage and you have to grab onto things to survive was a pretty good idea as well, and the last section of the level was pretty open ended for a 3D Sonic level, which made it fun to explore.

Honourable mentions:

Hydrocity: Grooseinator032 summed up why this zone is great far better than I ever could, go and read his post.

Speed Highway (Generations): Admittedly this only got on here because of how much nostalgia it caused, but I loved this stage. It took elements of the old stage, and improved them while keeping them faithful to the original, which was the case in a good number of stages in Generations.

Castelia City: I thought it was a really nice change to have an actual city in a Pokémon game for once, rather than a glorified town like Goldenrod, which made me really appreciate this area. With it being a city, it's a pretty large area and there's a good amount to do there.

Throwback Galaxy: Some people call this stage a result of Nintendo being lazy, but I actually really liked this stage. Again, it's purely nostalgia putting it on this list, but that's the entire point of this stage, so it works.

FAVORITE LEVEL

Freezeflame-1-.png

Freezeflame Galaxy

When playing platformers, the ice and fire levels are usually my favorites. But what happens when you get the best of both worlds? You get possibly one of the best levels in Super Mario galaxy. The atmosphere, the design, the music. This is possibly my favorite Mario level of all time.

23276SG_City-Escape_act2_03.jpg

City Escape (Generations)

City Escape is by far one of the most iconic sonic levels. Heck it's right up there with green hill in terms of being recognizable. But seeing this stage being recreated in hd was just mind blowing, mind blowing to the point where it completely blows the original out of the water. For classics level, you get to see the city in a 2d point of view, while being stalked by the truck all throughout the level.

But Modern sonic really steals the show in this level. He starts out by boarding down the streets of the San Francisco inspired city at high speeds just like he did in sa2. What's even greater is that this level is high on platforming for modern sonic (also being a huge "take that" to those who say moderns levels are "boost to win".). And at the end of moderns level, he gets chased by the truck, only this time around the truck is larger, faster, and is more determined to kill sonic this time. The fact that it now has saw blades and rockets should say something.

Overall Sega just made an already awesome stage a million times more awesome than before.

I've always really loved this stage, especially due to the music and the battle with Bass.

Freezeflame Galaxy

Freezeflame Galaxy always struck me as a rip-off of Hailfire Peaks from Banjo-Tooie (which coincidentally is one of my favourite levels ever), which did the fire/ice gimmick seven years earlier. Nonetheless I really enjoyed it and it's one of my favourite levels from Galaxy.

My favourite level?

GhostlyDKC2_65.jpg

Ghostly Grove. This picture doesn't do it justice, though. And I could probably substitute it for just about any stage in Donkey Kong Country 2 depending on my mood. The atmosphere and music are perfect. The gameplay is unique. But I've gone on about Donkey Kong Country 2 far enough, so another favourite level is...

s2-cnz-summaryimg.png

Casino Night Zone. There are two types of levels I love in video games, and those are natural atmospheric worlds like Ghostly Grove above, and the second type are the big bustling cities like this, or Speed Highway.

Casino Night Zone's atmosphere was amazing. I loved the lights, and the music, and the gameplay was the best the Sonic series has to offer, too. I think this level is a large part of the reason I enjoy big cities so much. I want to go to Vegas so badly.

That DLC pinball table's intro is such a tease.

DAY 6: Favorite Area

Oh boy, this is a toughie. While I'm unsure if "favorite" is the right word to use, here's one level in one of my top games that sticks out to me:

screenshot+1.jpg

Yup. Mega Man X's intro stage. Not much I can say that

hasn't said better. As soon as the level's music starts and X is transported onto the screen, my body becomes covered with goosebumps.

Mega Man X really tried to be a breath of fresh air for the Mega Man series. All the familiar characters and settings from the previous games are gone. Now you're playing as some new Mega Man in a world ruined by war. And the game just throws you into this new world with very little explanations. Without barely telling who X is in the opening cinematic, the action begins right away. You're X. You have a mega Buster. Kill Mavericks and save the world. Maybe I'm alone on this, but being thrown into the action right away like that excites me.

Not to mention that it's one intro level that manages to teach you most aspects of the game instantaniously without belittling you or shoving too much down your throat. It's simple enough that it's easy to grasp, yet it manages to prepare you for what's to come later, all while making you feel like a total badass.

I guess the the way the game subtlty teaches while giving the player such a satisfying experience is what does it for me There's just something about all that that gives me such a rush. It's one major highlight of the Mega Man series, in my book.

(I'm incredibly tired now, so hopefully this has been somewhat cohesive!)

Day 6 - Favorite Stage

Ummm. Wow this is tough. I don't really have an all time favorite area... I guess I'll go with the Generations version of City Escape.

The modern version of City Escape is just packed in the nostalgia and beats the original level into dust. The boarding section is expanded to include much more paths and just flying off of ramps is one of my favorite things to do in that stage, because I get to Sonic do a cool trick and get a damn impressive view of the whole city, I just wished the alternate paths it led too were actually faster than just boosting down the street. The part after the boarding area is much more expansive than the original and again, is super pretty, and despite looking pretty simple to just run through, running through it perfectly is tough and takes tons of practice. The truck is also way more extreme, what with the chainsaws and flying. Even if it's not much of a threat because it's so easy to avoid, it's still cool, and it wasn't exactly much of a threat in the original either.

The classic version is also nice. This the first area where Sonic gets a skateboard and it's fun to use. It picks up speed more than his actual roll, and again, jumping off ramps makes sonic do a trick and gives a good view of the city. The classic version of "Escape from the City" is very catchy and one of my favorite songs in the game. The truck is far more interesting in this version of the stage because it's constantly chasing you and actually alters the stage, forcing you to take a different route if you're not faste enough.

It's both surprising and entirely expected that no one else chose the same location as I have.

day_6___favorite_level_by_noirnoctowl-d4n7km5.png

I drew the Ever Grande City league as it was my first, but I'm including all of them:

The Pokémon League

The Pokémon League is the ultimate reward in a video game, to me. It truly feels like a finale more than anything else. The feeling after you triumph over all of the region's challenges and collect the final badge is magical for what a sense of accomplishment it gives, while also being the signal that the most difficult part of the journey is waiting ahead. After braving Victory Road, there's nothing that compares to emerging to the great music that always accompanies the League and seeing your last challenge awaiting. Call me sappy, but by that point I really feel some sort of bond with my pokémon, and reaching the Pokémon League makes me wish I could turn to each one and say, "Good job, buddy. Good job." Yes, I'm a loon.

I also want to do a special mention for this, as an extremely close runner-up:

The Citadel (Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1)

Half-Life-2-Citadel.jpg

Although I don't particularly like Episode 1 much (It's my least favorite of the whole series), every single moment spent in the Citadel between both games is a fantastic experience.

The Citadel must be by far one of the most imposing locations in vidya. Jumping across precarious cliffs to reach an entrance, it always sticks out to me that by no mistake, a few rocks tumble down into the abyss, and looking down to see no bottom, looking up to see no top, really puts into perspective the might of the Combine and just how incredible it is that one man is about to fight their strongest forces. And once inside, in just an unbelievably well crafted level. I typed out a list of what makes it so amazing, but I felt like I was spoiling too much as I wrote out the entire sequence. Which goes to show that it's one of the very best levels out there.

There are many stages I could place as my favorite, but this one takes the cake:

City Escape (Sonic Generations)

sonic-generations-e3-city-escape-modern.jpg

As Sonic Adventure 2: Battle got me back into the Sonic franchise, I have very fond memories of playing the original stage. Sonic Generations took the original stage and improved it in many ways. Both stages are great, but Modern Sonic takes the cake, bringing all the fun from SA2, but in HD. That and the G.U.N. truck became murderous all of a sudden, giving the chase at the end even more suspense than before. While I like Modern's level better, Classic's is still fun. Trying to outrun the truck and zipping around loops on a skateboard is a whole lot of fun. The missing posters are a nice touch as well (Thanks AAUK).

City-Escape-2D.jpg

What really makes the stage though is the music ("Escape from the City"). While the original is awesome, the game makes it even better with both of the remixes used. Cash Cash's classic remix is very catchy (the use of the Endless Mine tune is clever), but it's the Modern remix that touches my heart, especially as they got Tony Harnell to sing it once again, making it feel like an "Act 2" of the original stage, so to speak.

Final fortress from sonic heroes is a favorite of mine. I always had a thing for levels set in the sky and running through this massive ship especially in this dark setting really did it for me. And the conversations between team sonic while going through this massive fortress referenced different things from past games which I really appreciated.

CHAO GARDENS!

My absolute favourite areas in any game are the Chao Gardens from Sonic Adventure 2/Battle. I have lots of other favourite places and stages, but the Chao Gardens are the only ones that will keep me busy for literally hours upon hours taking care of the little guys. Much more addictive thatn any other virtual pet-like system and 100x more fun. I seriously wish SEGA would make new Chao Gardens and/or bring back the ones from SA2 in a future Sonic title. I'm curious to see what they would add or change. Plus, now that we are in an age of downloadable gaming content, it would be interesting to see if they would use that to enhance the experience.

Every inch of the Chao Garden's entire layout was ingrained into my brain by the time I was done with SA2. I actually drew a colored map of the whole thing from the race environment to the kindergarden when I was 10.

Glitz Pit... I remember that place now. I really need to play that game again.

Favorite Area:

Metal Harbor

You know screw that I'm going to talk about my favorite non-Sonic area.

This encompasses the whole game I guess (if you don't count the Ishimura level) but it also counts as a single area. This is one of the reasons why I loved Dead Space 2, the varied yet horrifying locations. In the first Dead Space I got a little bored about halfway through with the rather repetitive scenery and level structures. It's not that everything was exactly the same, it just felt like I was walking down the same hallway, but maybe with a little more blood here and there.

In Dead Space 2 things were rather varied in terms of the environments. There was the hospital, the nursery, the mining areas, the church, the apartments, and even more. Part of the reason effective horror movie/games are so creepy is the atmosphere that goes with them. In this Dead Space although I felt more powerful, I was constantly thrown into a different element where I had to test my skills. I loved every moment of this game, especially the sudden action sequences such as the gun ship escape and the subway ride. Yet everything had its own sense of unnerving tension.

Ugh, I'm too tired to keep rambling on about why I love Dead Space 2.

Day 6 - WHATS YO FAVORITE LEVEL IN VIDYA

Oh, great. I'll have to make some choices.

Sonic Adventure - Sky Deck Zone

adv_8.jpg

Yeah, I guess I had to pick this too. Sky Deck was one of the most thrilling, and exhilarating stages and this was one of the few 3D Flying Fortress-like Zones done right. This Zone gave me the feeling of adventure, and going here with Tails just reminded me that even in the most dire of circumstances, Sonic has friends who will support him. I also like how this takes place just after the StarFox-like Sky Chase Zone redux, where you have to even shoot the Egg Carrier as well in order to infiltrate Buttnik's ultimate base, and its just fun to replay this stage over and over. THIS should've been in Generations instead of Speed Highway Zone, TBQF.

Pokémon Black and White - Skyarrow Bridge

Sky_Arrow_Bridge.png

No, seriously. Having an area where the 3D camera moves dynamically displays how much potential the DS had, and how much of it wasn't used that much by many other gaming companies that just used it to make money. Pokémania never really died in Japan, and over here in Manila, it has started to gain a new ground, and the release of Gen V's new main games just emphasized it. But even then, compared to the previous generations which were veeeeeeery formulaic, it has come to my attention that the mainline Pokémon series--no, the entire franchise will never be the same again. I'm hoping its the 90's all over again, but with better technology. :D

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger/Continuum Shift (II, EXTEND) - The 13th Hierarchal City of Kagutsuchi

1306343154Kagutsuchi.jpg

Oh, come on, this city has everything. From vigilante exams, vampires with rose motifs and talking plushies, all the way to cat scientists and martial artists, and for a change, street fights. XD No seriously, BlazBlue is one of the most creative games in the history of game stories and settings, due to how it throws away the basic premise of fighting games with tournaments and adding all sorts of tropes, such as government conspiracies, wars with magic, fantasy and sci-fi elements and of course, your other typical anime tropes, with a variety cup sizes fighting styles included. Now all we need is BlazBlue vs. Guilty Gear and everyone will be happy. :D

SaconEggCarrier_06.jpg

The Egg Carrier my favourite area due to how large it is in the adventure field, there's so much to do here. Not to mention Sky Deck and Hot Shelter. The atmosphere is great here from when it's flying in the sky, crashing in a storm or in the middle of the ocean it feels like the Eggman battle ship. The changing form thing adds to the wonderfulness of it. It gives of a certain feel that Staion Square and the Mystic Ruins, do not.

Favorite level? I got more then that!

The Aperture Science from late 40's to 80's (Portal 2)

portal-2-aperture.jpg

This thing is a masterpiece! It's not some kind of garbage edition of the lab...But an abandoned piece of history in the game. It tells a tale of how things where hyped up and excited, to simply showing how everything then gone downhill and desperate measures where already in process. It shows how the company changed from time to time, from chambers that where made in a basic way and nothing too advanced and also tells a tale of the man in charge of the whole place who will burn your house down unless you revisit this gem NAO!

I'll take your past Aperture and raise ya one rest of the game.

The atmosphere in this game is nearly perfect. From the beginning, with the desolated labs and tests, to the area right before GLaDOS, to Underground Aperture, and finally

Wheatley Labs

it's a masterpiece. The area right before the final battle is one of the best, as it really feels as if the entire building, with the terrible new management, is falling down before your eyes. I don't even think I have to mention the final fight and ending. OH MAN. That ending.

Day 6-Favorite Area/Stage/Level in a Video Game

tumblr_lm7tvlDos61qej3rdo1_500.jpg

Hydrocity Zone - Sonic 3

Found this picture on Stadium, by JoelChan. Thanks for making an awesome stage look even more awesome.

Hydrocity Zone is without a doubt, the best stage in Sonic history. The music, the level design, the aesthetics, it's all perfect. I love the fact that Act I is all chill and calm and then Act 2 rolls around and the music starts to ramp up, and the level becomes a lot more hectic and urgent. I find great irony in the fact that Sonic levels are known for their unfair water levels (Labyrinth Zone comes to mind) yet this has just the right amount of water that it's not annoying. Their are plenty of secrets to find and plenty of paths to take, I STILL don't think I found all there is to be found in this level, that's wen you know you have an excellently designed Sonic stage. I also love how Sonic can run on water in this one, and that there is basically a "fast" path and a more slower "water" path, having choice is awesome.

Did I mention that the music is fantastic? No? Then let me remind you.

I also now have to give a serious shout-out the Excess Express in Chapter 6.

The second I saw a Paper Mario level in this topic I knew I had to respond with the Excess Express... but it's probably for the best that you beat me to it, because my entire argument for why the level is good would have amounted to "but they turned Mario into Hercule Poirot, guys, seriously" over and over.

Anyway, my proper pick is Viridian Forest.

300px-Pokemon_RBY_ViridianForest.png

It seems laughably small and inconsequential in hindsight, but goddamn if it wasn't imposing and labyrinthine the first time in. The scenery was dark, the music was creepy (seriously, it's one of the best tracks in the series. I do prefer the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM8qhyxwIQo, though), there were bugs and Bug Catchers everywhere... the constant warning signs about how terrible poison is didn't help much either, even if they were mostly hype. The constant possibility of running into a Pikachu tended to keep you on your toes, too. Viridian Forest really felt like the first step on an adventure.

Day 7 - Least Favorite Area / Stage / Level in a Video Game.

EggmanLand_by_Shalweas.png

Eggmanland (Sonic Unleashed HD)

The level is just not fun. Sonic's platforming sections are rare, and not very good, but not terrible. The Werehog's were terrible (Pipe section where my shadow magically disappeared). Then there's a bobsledding section even worse than Cool Edge's, which I already disliked, but here it went to hatred. I don't mind a final stage being hard, but this one wasn't all too hard outside of stupid design. And the level goes on way too long. I don't think a Sonic level should go over the 25 minute barrier. It dragged on and I had little fun.

It had my favorite boss, though. Egg Dragoon was great.

I'm just going to combine parts 6 and 7 into one, since they are both in the same level.

Day 6-Favorite Area/Stage/Level in a Video Game:

199579-son2_22_super.gif

Mystic Cave Zone- Sonic 2

There's no way that I could EVER get this level's music out of my head. I played the HELL out of this level in 2 player whenever I played the game against my friends, and they always got frustrated because I knew the level perfectly. Even now, whenever I play Sonic 2 I always make sure that I make it up to this stage. Of course, every good thing has to have its share of problems...

Day 7 - Least Favorite Area / Stage / Level in a Video Game.

WHY? WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND EVER THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?

Seriously though, this thing is a pain in the ass if you forget about it...

..especially with Super Sonic, and a whole lot of rings. Bad idea. :I

Alright, Day 6! I've got a few of these stages lined up. A few are Sonic stages, but I tend to appreicate the insanity of those more. Let's get the 4 of those outta the way first...

AQUARIUM PARK (Sonic Colors)

320px-AquariumPark.jpg

Ah, Aquarium Park! This is hands down my favorite level in Colors Wii. I just love the entire feel of it, the entire idea of a feudal Japanese area fused with an Aquarium just works so well, I can't even.

It helps that the music is amazing, too.

SKY SANCTUARY (Sonic Generations)

320px-SonicGenerations_SkySanctuaryAct2.jpg

Sky Sanctuary was one of the best levels in Sonic 3K, and was a nice looking level. The Generations version cranked that up to new levels. It was truly a breathtaking view. Music is also amazing, Classic and Modern and Original.

LEVITATED RUIN (Sonic and the Secret Rings)

320px-SatSR-Levitated_Ruin.png

Kinda like Sky Sanctuary, only on top of large flying manta rays. With Gargoyles and nice Arabian Architecture. Music is kickass as well.

Last Sonic one...

NIGHT PALACE (Sonic and the Secret Rings)

320px-SatSR-Night_Palace.png

Night Palace is a stunningly beautiful stage, and a great way to end a game like Sonic and the Secret Rings. Great music, good challenge, great level design.

NOW FOR THINGS THAT AREN'T SONIC

Piranha Plant Pipeway (Mario Kart 7)

Piranhaslider.png

This course goes by the name "Piranha Plant Slide" in America, but Pipeway sounds so much better, so Pipeway it is. This has gotta be one of my favorite new courses in Mario Kart 7. Not only is the course itself great, but it also is designed in such a way that you feel extreme nostalgia for the older games. The music is pretty kickass, too.

Skyloft (The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword)

Skyward-Sword-2011-01.jpg

I really like Skyloft. For a hub, it's a pretty nice small town, and it's designed in such a way that it brings out the game's artstyle, and it's very colorful. From Skyloft, you can also access the surface, where most of the adventuring goes on, so it has practical use too. It also contains the Bazaar, which is where you'll go to get most of your equipment.

CENTRAL HIGHWAY (Mega Man X/ Maverick Hunter X)

mega-man-maverick-hunter-x-20060109070251468.jpg

(picture of the PSP version because I couldn't be assed to look for good quality SNES ones)

This is a great way to start off a spectacular game. I think

did the best job explaining it, so I'll leave it at that. Edited by Cola

inb4 Water Temple Ocarina of Time.

I pick Esthar from Final Fantasy 8.

ff8_03.jpg

I think this place is the only reason I never completed Final Fantasy 8 more than once. Sure, it looks very pretty, and truth be told you're getting close to the end of the game when you find this futuristic city. You also eventually get a nice spaceship out of it.

But its way too smegging big.

I could never, never find my way around this place. You can struggle on at first, but then, YOU GET RANDOM BATTLES. In the city. The stupidly massive city which also ends up being quite empty. I just get so fed up, it drains my energy and both times I tried to replay this game, I gave up in Esthar.

Seventh: Least fav. level

mega-turrican-virtual-console-20080422103908087-000.jpg

Turrican series: The Xenomorph hive levels

My least favourite level would have to be from a series I love, otherwise I wouldn't bother sufferint through them time and time again to experience the rest of the otherwise great game.

Since World 4 of the original installment, it's been a series tradition to have one ass-long level that has no awesome music, a confusing labyrinthine level structure, and monsters & xenomorphs as the enemies. Blatant plagiarism aside, the hive levels just aren't as fun as the preceding and following levels. That they're hard as hell doesn't help.

I'd have more patience for these levels if only they didn't switch out the kickass soundtrack for creepy ambient sounds.

Day Numbero Sebun - Ninja's Wasteland of Least favoriteness, "I wish Kami would get Trapped in it Forever", Least Favourite Area(s)/stage(s)/Level(s) Ever!

Ugn...

now, I don't mind the Treasure Hunting stages as a whole, I even like some of them but Mad Space.....it's so goddamn Terrible

Nothing on this stage is remoteley Fun, Nothing. It's a confusing Mess of a Game, with a Gravity gimmick thats annoying as Hell (and would later be done MUCH better by the Mario Galaxy Games in my Opinion).

the only way this level could be worse is if the standart Mission would be Timed too, but thank GOD it isn't.

Twilight Trail

Now, the Chapter as a whole isn't too Bad, it's fairly Spooky and has a Nice twist going...but the Problem here is simply THAT Infernal Piece of wood...

The Problem with it Boils down to basically

a) Backtracking, wich in itself wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for...

2) Amazy Dazee. I HATE those Things, about 20 HP and can Put you to sleep and ALWAYS come in the Company of Enemies that can bring on the Pain upon you.

It boils down to mere annoyance really, and it deosn't help that this Chapter is right after my Favourite Chapter in the Game. Wich makes me like this Part even less.

(un)Honorable Mention

Day 7 - Least Favorite Area / Stage / Level in a Video Game.

Oooh, how didn't I notice this before? So I can still do this, right? (Well I'll do it anyways and if I can't do it anymore it'll just be here)

Crisis City (Sonic the Hedgehog 2006)

Yes, this stage is probably my least favorite stage in the universe of gaming, so many God damn glitches, when I first saw "Least favorite stage", This automatically came in mind..I just don't like it.

The board part at the beginning is so frustrating, plus this stage is just harder than shit (Well to me atleast), it was such a long level as well, it just drained my enthusiasm. Also, that running part at the end just made things worse, I couldn't stand it, you just went so fast and you had to dodge things from behind and infront of you, making things extremely difficult.

In Generations though, this stage was utterly fantastic.
