Old Sonic, New Sonic; Retrofag, Newfag?

^This is definitely one of the elements missing from the current formula. The absence of level-specific gimmicks makes each level feel too similar. I am really not excited to I see another zip-line or grind rail. The abundance of chase sequences and quick-step sections don't exactly help each level feel unique either.
