Pokemon Black & White 2 [DS]

Recommended Posts

First time he killed me, and then the second time I knocked him out fairly easy when I switched to having Zoroark first to match against his first Pokemon easily. Then it was just a matter of switching to the right ones for all his Pokemon I guess XD.I think his toad pokemon thing gave me more trouble than his Hydrafuckery

Yeah, they gave it a bunch of Physical attacks in an apparent act of mercy after the previous fight in Black/White 1 (Hydreigon has much higher Special Attack than Physical).

Post Credits spoilers -

... Of course, they completely counteract that just to fuck with us in the fight with Iris - giving us an even stronger Special Hydreigon to deal with. Thanks, Game Freak.

Fought the gyms in Opelucid and Humilau. Both actually went off pretty smoothly even though I was woefully underlevelled.

-Druddigon was the hardest to fight in Opelucid because of his defence being so good...at least it wasn't like the other defensive Druddigon in the gym which had a Rough Skin/Rocky Helmet combo. Easiest to fight was actually Haxorus; it got out one Dragon Dance to set itself up to attack...but it also set itself up for a OHKO critical hit from Foul Play. :/

-In Humilau...completely fucking walked it, even at being 11 levels down I just blitzed it.

My team right now;

-Serperior (Josephine) - Level 44

-Krookodile (D.D.) - Level 44

-Rex (Scrafty) - Level 48

-Tranquill (PkAirline4) - Level 28

-Marill - Level 16

-Magneton - Level 35

For a good while I was wondering why my main trio were doing so badly even though they were stars on White. I'd just forgotten that they're really quite awkward to train, but the reward for the time investment pays in buckets.

I thought is being a great, fun game with a good soundtrack and graphics was a good enough reason to buy a game.

Whoosh! Come up Rawr.

I swear to god, half of my deaths in this run have been to bullshit critical hits, and it's starting to piss me off.

Yeah, there have been a strange amount of crits for me too. Not like Yellow though, the crits in that game were off the wall...

btw whats a decent level to be at when you get to Castelia city? I swear I am underleveled...

In Gen I tho, Critical Hits are determined by a Pokemon's speed, so the more something outspeeds something, the higher chance of a crit happens. Made Persian pretty damn game breaking considering it's fast, Slash has a high crit ratio, and it gets a STAB from it.

Well Burgh is at early twenties, so about there.

The lost items mission on the Entralink Funfest is just OPed to the max. 29 items in one go with 3 Big Pearls amongst them.

Edit: Holy shit. Lost Items + Shocking Shopper = Dis gonna be good.

The music that plays in Drayden's gym is so epic. It suits the majestic nature of the Dragon type perfectly.

Screw that. All of the music in this game is amazing. Best pokemon soundtrack IMO.

So Zinzolin specialises in Ice types, and Colress specialises in Steel types.

I have a Scrafty.

Yeah, this is a sweep.

I like how the music in all the gyms are actually different each gym. tongue.png

This was one of my favorite parts of the game actually. Not just the music, but I thought almost every gym was pretty damn creative and fun compared to most of the Pokemon games. Not really sure which is my favorite, but the electric gym always comes to mind first whenever I think of this stuff again XD.

EVERYTHING IS SO NERFED.

Ghetsis was barely any issue (never mind the fact that two Brick Breaks took out Black Kyurem), the Elite Four were stomped royally (even the Fighting one, who was a nightmare in Black) and the champion Iris? Well, she got unlucky because my Krookodile levelled up and learned Outrage while fighting Marshall. Still, I took out her level 59 Haxorus with a level 29 Tranquill because of the damage the Krookodile did to it in one hit, and it only survived because it had the focus sash.

Yay easy stuff. Now I can focus on Join Avenue and Dream Radar again for a bit.

So this isn't much of a spoiler but there may be some people who don't want to know about the new environments (which is what it concerns) so to be safe,

Why in the world is Reversal Mountain, a volcano, filled with water in Black 2? It's not even like inactive, the description specifically says it's erupted recently and I just don't understand what is happening

It's just a nod to Ruby & Sapphire probably, it 's just cosmetic and nothing more.

Here's my team. Using the Keldeo and Genesect because, I don't give a crap. I never used Legendaries before because, I thought it was some kind of taboo. I didn't realize that a lot of them are actually fair, it's the mascot Pokemon and Mewtwo that can be pretty damn broken.

Anyway:

Pignite

Piloswine

Lairron

Genesect

Keldeo

Electabuzz

My team in the Japanese Black 2 was:

Samurott

Magnezone

Haxorus

Cofagrigus

Lucario

Volcarona
